Pivotal Labs

So although I can’t comment on hiring them as a software development company, I will say they are very nice to host many different meetup groups, almost every night of the week from what I saw on a printout by the front desk. Their event area is pretty big with so many snacks, goodies, beer, soda, you name it.

I was at the Pivotal Labs office/​work space last night for the Ruby Meetup.
I was pretty impressed by the space, the professionals from Pivotal, and overall with the «feel» of the place.
Coming from the Lisp Meetup (also last night) and from the Betaworks space in Meatpacking the other week, I thought that I couldn’t find a nicer space in Manhattan.
Well, I was wrong and now I want to go back and hang out in the Pivotal space as often as I can :)
It is spacious, well-​arranged, and looks like someplace Agile programming takes place. There is just that «feel» about the place. (I know that I said that already.)
If you get a chance, take a look for yourself. It’s a floor with exposed wood, surrounded by glass, big wipe boards, and huge computers/​monitors everywhere.
