One Smart Puppy started private in-​home consultations in 2004. The trainer focuses mostly on puppies including socialization, training and problem prevention. Additionally, you can get help selecting the right breed for you, get tips on selecting a good breeder or get tips on what to look for in a shelter dog.

A graduate of Cornell University, Julie worked in the business sector for five years before deciding to become certified as a dog trainer at the San Francisco SPCA Dog Training Academy. This program is renowned in the industry as the top-​notch positive reinforcement school. Julie’s experience in customer service as well as her people skills complement her skills as a dog trainer.
