This company is the absolute worst. A suit I purchased from them was defective they would not take it back and repair they wanted me to pay for it. When I spoke to the principal owner James Hancock he said it was nothing he can do for me. I will never purchase another thing from that organization again.

The suit they sold me in the end just doesn’t fit all that well. The pants are okay, slightly on the baggy side. The jacket always had a weird way of fitting at the chest when the suit was buttoned. Despite 3 fixes, they just never made it fit all that well. Honestly, go to Uniqlo on 52^nd and Fifth Ave. Their pants fit me wayyyyyyyy better right off the rack.

To be fair the suit has held up over a year where a lot of reviews claim they have not. Perhaps I do not wear them often or as often as the other reviewers but my suit has held up. My issues w my suit are like many others. The revolving door employees. I bought two suits and two months later I check in to see what the hold up is and my tailor has left the company. I don’t think I would have been notified until I call. I walk in and immediately noticed a few people not really doing anything. I wait. And wait. I try to flag a person down. Do you have an appointment? No I was told on the phone to come in. Argh. Finally get someone. He’s very polite apologies profusely but my lunch hour is already half gone waiting. No offer of a hey I’m sorry you fell through the cracks and had to wait two months no offer of a discounted or throw in anything a tie, kerchief maybe for my troubles? I even mention I was unhappy and ask to speak to a manager. Although very polite he didn’t offer me anything either but said he’ll take 5% off my next purchase. My current purchase was well over a $ 1000 and you’re not making me want to do more business with you
In closing the suit looks great. I get compliments on it. To be honest you choose The material so maybe the cheaper quality ones is the ones that rip easy in the other reviews? Just a thought. I just didn’t like how I was forgotten, come into the office and ignored and have to follow up. Great suits horrible customer service

Purchased a suit, added a vest to make it a 3piece. It was a pleasure to deal with Ryan and the rest of My Suit. Nailed the fit first time around. I’ll be back!

Just got my 4^th suit, from my regular tailor there, Ryan Wilbanks.
Mysuit provides great value and customization — can customize everything — name inside jacket, colors of button, colors of the threading around button, everything. The customization makes the suit stand out. The price is great
between $ 500 to $ 1200. It’s made-​to-​measure and a great buy. They can even redo older mysuits to fit new measurements.
The color selection also differentiates mysuit. Because seriously, when you wear a suit, it’s about the fitting (made to measure or bespoke) and color. Nobody is ever going to come touch your fabric.
Ryan’s service has been exceptional. He knows what I like, brings out pre-​selected fabrics for our appointment and recommends all the detailed touches for customization. I definitely recommend making an appointment with him.

The quality of fabric is simply terrible. I bought 2 suits that did not last more than one 1 year… cheap quality…

UPDATE:
I actually brought the pants to a tailor, they repaired them for ~$ 30 and they fit fine.
The employees are only looking for a commission and will straight-​up lie to you to get it. Stay away from this place.

I went here to get a suit for my wedding. I had, at the time 1 month before the day. That should have been plenty of time… 2 week turnaround time, They send me my suit in the mail — The guy who took my measurements royally messed up and the jacket wasn’t even close to fitting. I was so bummed! I went to the philly store to get it fixed and they said I needed to have a new jacket made… Another 2 week turnaround puts me 2 DAYS before my wedding. Not nearly enough time to pick it up, and get it tailored again if it needs any adjustments. I may not have a good suit for my own wedding.
This is a great concept but if you’re working with someone who sucks, have a back up plan. I’m sorry but your one job is to take measurements… if you can’t measure, you might want to find a new job.

I would give this place zero stars if possible. For those of you on the fence of trying this place out, please take the time to really consider all the negative 1-​star reviews.
Sure you’ll find some 5-​star reviews woven in: Be warned: this is NYC, there has to be some IDIOTS out there. You know, those people you see on the street that think they’re so well dressed, but are clearly not. Yes, those are the idiots that give this place five stars. Sort of the same guy who thinks that putting on Gucci shoes makes him classy, just because he’s got Gucci shes on.
Now for the details:
Tip #1: Find a tailor with post-​sales customer service.
You won’t find any real customer service here. There is ZERO customer service once the suit is done. I bought a suit 18 months ago, a 3-​peice custom seersucker suit (which retail for $ 300 at Brooks Brothers, I paid near $ 1000 here because I thought custom would be nicer). When I was getting fitted, the salesperson highly recommended like 100x that I do the length she had shown. I said «ok», and did it. Now, you may be thinking this is my fault, but trust me: they throw on some pre-​cut garment tool that you can’t really tell crap without the actual suit pants on etc. Not to mention the suit I got back seemed to be longer than the one I tried on. When I asked to have this fixed (either shorten the suit they sent me, or make a new one, or provide me a credit to have this done elsewhere), they said «No — we don’t shorten suit lengths, it’s stated right when you buy that all lengths are final».
Tip #2: Find a tailor with actual skill and connection to the factory.
Now Mysuit claims they own some large factory and make suits for all types of main stream brands. Let me tell you: There is 100% crap management. I got a seersucker suit, which is made to be worn in HOT weather. They refused to quarter line it, and said they can only half or full line it. WHAT THE HELL IS A CUSTOM SUIT IF YOU CANT GET THE LINING YOU WANT! I had to take the suit to another tailor who removed part of the lining in the sleeves and back. Now just to be clear: I HAVE HAD MANY SUITS MADE EITHER UNLINED, OR QUARTER LINED.
Tip #3: FIT FIT FIT: Find a tailor who is a tailor. Not some salesperson who doesnt tailor, who measures you for fit, like at Mysuit
Yes, your salesperson will measure you, but she’s no tailor. You’re basically taking advice from a min wage employee with limited training. How good could they be? They’re not attached to the garment after they sell it, and who knows if there will be repeat business between you two. My suit fit like crap. A good tailor would have never let this happen.
Tip #4: Find a tailor that cares.
This is similar to tip #1. But basically long story short: no matter how high I got in management to complain about my suit, I got the same response: Sorry but we cant help you buddy, you already bought and paid for the suit, so piss off (not verbatim, but the general theme).
TRY MYSUIT AT YOUR OWN RISK. OR GO TO A REAL TAILOR AND STOP TRYING TO SAVE $ 150 ON A BUDGET SUIT!!!

This place is terrible. DO NOT BUY A SUIT FROM HERE. After a few months of owning my overpriced suit, the fabric tore and they wanted to charge me to have it fixed. Not to mention the service is subpar. Do not waste your time or money here.

I have been a My Suit client for at least 4 years. The first suit took a few alterations to get the fit right for my body shape, but since then, all I need to do is book an appointment and pick fabric. I have made adjustments of the fit over time, but when my suit comes in, it is right. Granted, this is not a $ 3000 to $ 5000 bespoke suit, but I have very pleased with the ten suits that I currently have from them.
Stuart is wonderful and he has also fit my son with a few suits a well. We are both pleased.

If you are worried about any issues after three months this place will not stand behind fixing their suits!
I wish I could give less stars here for the customer service and quality of the fabric.
I bought a suit here two years ago for over $ 600. When the suit came back it was not nearly as fitted as I had requested and had to go back multiple times to have it fitted. I brought it back outside of the 3 month window of buying the suit and they made me pay an extra $ 120 to get the pants tailored.
Recently I found that the fabric on the pant pockets started to fray. I brought the suit in and the manager told me that their tailors could not fix the pockets and that they would not replace the pants. I have plenty of other suit pants that have lasted much longer than two years with no issues. The manager kept saying there is nothing they could do and told his associate to give me back the pants so that he could meet with a new customer. Now I have an over $ 600 suit that I cannot wear.
A company like this should be in the business of customer service and keeping their customers happy. The manager here just gave me a flippant response that the store can not do anything about it and walked away. I am extremely disappointed and they have lost a customer in me.
I would strongly recommend not getting your suit made here because if there are any issues outside of the first 3 months, the store does not stand behind their products in my experience.
I have also had customer suits and shirts made at Alton Lane, 11 West 25 Street, 5 Floor, New York, NY around the same time and no issues with their fabric. Their customer service is much better as well. Joe and Taylor treat you really well and if you have any problems they get your issues resolved without having to pay extra fees. For example, I wanted my pants made more slim and they happily tailored my pants without charging me extra. This was many months later. Also basically every time I go there they give me a gift certificate for a free shirt or a free bow tie which keeps me coming back.

This place is amazing! Ryan will definitely take care of you… Can’t say that about all the other workers in there though. Ryan makes sure that you will look your very best no sagging, loose fits etc! The only negative is the price, but with great quality and service it’s well worth it! My wedding tux was sick and everybody was in awe. THANKS Ryan!

Great service and excellent value — I looked around for a nice suit and few fit well and all were expensive. Here I picked all the fabric and options and the fit was perfect. I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a nice suit or jacket /​trousers.
Cons: you cannot buy off the peg anymore !

I came here with my wife to look for a suit on the recommendation of a co-​worker. Working in a profession that requires a suit everyday, I was looking for a place that would be able to supply me with suits for a long time to come.
However, when I went here, the place was empty except for three sales associates. My wife and I began browsing the fabric selections for about 10 minutes, but none of them came over. I had to approach one sales associate just to get information and she didn’t even come over to assist. My wife and I continued to look at fabrics after that, and even selected one, but not one sales person came over to help. My wife and I promptly left after that.
I went to two other suit locations, Beau by Aksel Paris and Black Lapel, and was very satisfied with my suits from those locations. Never going back to MySuit again.

GO TO STEWART!
My boyfriend and I have sent so many friends and colleagues to him and now they are all addicted to custom suits here. Stewart is not pushy at all. He can find you suggestions in your price range and help you design a suit that is appropriate for your office or occasion.

If you’re getting a custom suit you probably work in a profession that is pretty demanding. Meaning that when you deek out of work to get a fitting, you need it to go exactly as planned.
Bought 4 suits from Stuart a few months ago. I’ll admit the fit is strong, not the best suit I’ve ever had made but strong.
I scheduled an appointment with him again to get some fall Blazers, did this a week in advance. Ran 5 mins late for the appointment, ended up waiting around for 20 bloody minutes without him even acknowledging me. Thanks Stu.
When I ask him if I should come back, he told me to look at fabrics while he finished with his customer who clearly didn’t have an appointment rather was buying multiple suits (and was older, I’m 26).
I said, how I wanted the fabric to be like the pic I sent him, he said we don’t have it, and I was like then wtf am I doing here. He said «dude just look at the fabrics and I’ll be with you soon».
I walked out the door 5 seconds later.
Meanwhile, there are 2 people in the store not doing anything and could have served me. But I guess there’s a ‘client ownership’ thing.
If you’re a busy professional, go somewhere else. Btw, I typed this review on my way back to the office for those of you who were going to say «how does he have time to write a review»

Super easy, super good, super worth it.
As a member of the big & tall world (6’8, ³⁸⁄₃₉ sleeve, a bit big too) it’s tough to find a suit that fits well. I knew custom suits existed, but had always gone with the less than perfect fits of Jos A Bank as they always had the «Buy 1 suit get the world for free» deals. This time, no more, time for the good stuff.
We visited 5 – 6 different places in the area which did custom suits of various sorts, comparing materials, pricing, patterns, style, and timing. My Suit was by far the easiest, with reasonable pricing and enough stylistic touches that it feels right to me, for about $ 600 for 1 suit. Not bad at all.
So the process is as easy as it sounds. Go in and choose a fabric and stylistic touches (buttons, stitching color, button hole angle, liner, color, cuffs, etc etc etc), they’ll make it easy enough to figure out. I recommend bringing a jacket that you have that you like the fit of, really helped to figure out vents etc correctly. It did take about an hour to get everything completed, but as I was spending a solid amount of money it was an hour well spent, including all measurements.
10 days later, it was ready, and found an issue on the pants. They fixed it and I had it back within a week. Not bad at all, definitely good.
For the money, this place is a winner. Some of the places I visited felt like the ones NBA players would go to as I focused on suit makers that covered tall people, but I’m not rich yet so wanted to go with what I could afford. This was definitely the right pick, and when I need another suit or pants My. Suit will be at the top of my list. If you’ve read this far, it should be at the top of yours as well.

A total waste of time and money. I bought one suit. It was ok, but I wanted more space in the pants. I went back at least 6 times and even tried to buy a brand new suit to get the right fit so that I could order a few more, but they simply couldn’t get the pants to fit.
Honestly, I suspect they make the suits off of set patterns and then basically make alterations. So there are bounds that they have to stay within. So if it fits you great. But if not, you’re out of luck.
I wish they would have just told me that they couldn’t make the fit that I wanted and I would have saved myself a ton of time and effort. Instead, I suspect they lied to me the whole time and never actually made the effort (because they can’t) to get me the right fit.

This store seems to be a tad bigger than the one downtown. I love that all of my hubby’s measurements are saved on their systems.
If you have never been to My Suit, you don’t know what you’ve been missing. The suit is tailored and customized to the very last stitching.
You will need to invest a solid hour during your first ever visit, where they measure the crap out of you, remeasure, and measure again just for good measure. =) All of your numbers are stored on their systems, which is used for any suits/​shirts that you buy in the future.
This is my husband’s 3^rd suit from My Suit, and the experience remains superb. The service is impeccable, and the staff are very knowledgeable in fashion and practicality.
