Midtown Integrative Physical Therapy

have been there about five times so far in the past few weeks — martin is phenomenal — is helping me recover from major cervical surgery — he listens and is extremely helpful in suggesting ideas for exercises, repairing scars, and generally getting me back to where i can do everything i was doing before surgery

It is with extreme pleasure that I write this review. Five months ago I had surgery for a 360 degree labral tear. As Martin would describe it, I was one in a million… but not in the good way hahaha! He had to develop a plan to get my arm back in action. Most people tear the front or side but not me, oh no, I tore it nearly off.
As I am typing this, I have 90% mobility back in my arm which should be a 9 month process. I have been to the office twice a week since May as well as seeing Siri Smith for chiropractic work. She is amazing… as a doctor and as a person. The duo, Martin and Siri have provided the best service I could ever have asked for in recovery. They made each visit fun if you can imagine and lifted me up when i needed it. I strongly encourage anyone who needs physical therapy or chiropratic work to look no further.

Angela and the team at MIPT are a fantastic group of professionals that went way out of their way to help me heal from a serious back injury. They continue to help me with this length process even when I’m not scheduled for a visit.
Angela worked with my trainer to make sure I was working on the proper exercise while not in her care.
I would recommend this team for their professionalism and as well as just really good people!

I had the pleasure of working with both Dr. Angela Park (& Martin Ridley, while Angela was away).
Who knew the healing process of a seemingly simple ankle sprain would be so long and annoying?
Not I.
Luckily, Angela expertly examined my ankle and its state, and led me through the exercises/​stretches needed to strengthen my muscles. She explained certain exercises and my training plan at the beginning.
During the more straining exercises, Angela encouraged me and kept me on track in terms of form to target specific areas that needed focus. During the times I expressed fear or hesitation in doing a movement, she guided me through them and made me feel comfortable. I can’t thank her enough for her patience!
The week I spent with Martin was equally a positive experience. He attentively noticed the days my ankle swelled and performed the necessary procedures to help it decrease. Martin is very friendly and you can tell he cares about each individual patient and their wellbeing as a whole.
All in all, Angela & Martin made such an annoying injury the most positive experience possible. I will miss seeing them three times a week, as I’ve become accustomed to their kindness and helpfulness this past month!
Shout out to Andrea, the receptionist, because she is always so welcoming as I’m checking in/​out, and in her lovely email reminders of my upcoming appointment.
Impeccably clean facility also!

Martin, Angela and Jason are a great team! They work well together. Individual care is professional and thorough. Martin is attentive, a great listener, and is tuned into how to improve the afflicted areas as efficiently and at the pace that is right for you. The facilities are clean and constantly being improved. The support staff is friendly and make sure you are taken care of with appointment scheduling or billing. Highly recommended.

Tore my hamstring and Martin got me back to 100%. He was helpful, communicative and knowledgeable. An excellent experience.

I can’t say enough good things about these guys — they’re all terrific. Martin is my main therapist and this guy really knows his stuff. I had a very complex surgery on my shoulder and he’s been really thorough, making sure we don’t damage the surgeon’s work while making sure we’re moving forward and pushing boundaries. Thanks to their know-​how I am several weeks ahead of schedule in my therapy and feel great! I am thrilled with the progress I am making and I owe a good portion of that to the good folks at MIPT. I would totally recommend MIPT to anybody needing physical therapy; they will get you up and running in no time!

The best! The staff is courteous, efficient, knowledgeable and I’ve never had to wait for an appointment. I’m seeing Martin for PT and I’m very pleased with the results so far.

Midtown Integrative Physical Therapy is by far the best Physical Therapy practice in the entire city. I’ve been battling with a neck injury for 4.5 years now and worked with 5 Physical Therapist before starting with Martin Ridley late last year. He is by far the most knowledge, professional and best PT that I have worked with. After 7 months with Martin, I have seen amazing results and am feeling better than ever. He helped me through some serious neck injuries and I am now more confident then ever that I am heading towards a full recovery and doing it the right way. I would highly recommend that everyone works with Midtown Integrative Physical Therapy as I know all of their PTs are equally as talented as Martin. They are a well run practice and every employee is top notch. They are absolutely the best!!!

I’ve been to 3 other physical therapy places and Midtown Integrative Physical Therapy is by far the best! My physical therapist is Martin and he’s fabulous. While I’ve only been working with him for about a month now, I have noticed that my areas of weakness (lower and mid back) have definitely gotten stronger! Not only is Martin extremely knowledgeable, but he is very nice, attentive and thoughtful. He’s a great listener and focuses on you 100% of the time when you’re there — I haven’t had this at any PT place (other places squeezed me in with 2 – 3 other patients at a time… so I was there for 2 hours and didn’t get much attention).
Besides Martin, the other staff at Midtown Integrative Physical Therapy is wonderful!

I cannot say enough good things about Angela Park at Midtown Integrative Physical Therapy. She is knowledgeable, caring, skilled, and was instrumental in helping me to heal 3 tears in my left shoulder. Angela took the time to understand the nature of my injury and then carefully formulated a therapy plan which brought me back to 100%, all the while being super attentive. What separates MIPT/​MIHAW from the pack is that they genuinely care about the individual and go the extra mile to get you to optimal wellness. The facility is top notch. If you want the best treatment with the most skilled professionals, MIPT is a no brainer. Angela is my hero for bringing much needed relief and strength to my shoulder.

My experience at Midtown Integrative PT has been stellar from start to finish.
Martin is fabulous. He’s a true professional who cares greatly about his clients. I have limited movement in my foot which also causes hip pain. His diagnostic skills are astute — he’s figured things out that my prior three physical therapists did not. He listens and remembers and will take extra time when needed — this is NOT assembly line service. He suggested a type of sling for my foot and then searched for it online and found the best kind for me at the lowest price. It’s helped immensely. He’s experienced, and creative about solutions — aka recommended an adjustment to my orthodic that’s proved very helpful. He has an intellectual curiosity about causes/​problems/​big picture which makes him a great therapist.
I have NEVER been kept waiting for an appointment, am generally ushered right in and my clothes are on the counter waiting for me (they’ll stash a pair of your own gym clothes there if you like).
Also here’s what I’ve observed about the rest of the staff: Jason & Angela are the other physical therapists there. They too are intelligent, articulate, polite and demonstrate genuine concern for their patients. For instance, Jason carefully explained all the uses for the rock tape he was about to apply and patiently answered all of his patients questions. The three PT people will work as a team when necessary to ensure that patients are not kept waiting.
The front desk staff is also a pleasure; they’re polite, available and willing to help. Kate schedules appointments for me via email and gave me an accurate quote on some services based on my insurance to help me make decision on treatment. She greets return patients by name.
As an added bonus, it’s a nice pleasant space and environment: bright and spacious w/​high ceiling, plants, with tea & phone charging available in the reception area. There are a few other doctors who also work under the «Manhattan Integrative» umbrella, so combining treatments to save time is an option. Some places won’t do this or say that they can’t because of insurance. Here they just billed me the same co-​pay but split it between the two drs. Probably worse for them but better for the patient.

I have been in treatment with Angela at Midtown Integrative PT now for about 4 weeks and the results are outstanding. The individual attention I receive as a patient of hers is very different from my prior PT experiences — she is with me from the beginning to the end of each treatment session; she explains to me the overall goals of treatment, the incremental goals, and how the work we are doing is changing my physical abilities. With every session there is improvement. Her communication abilities are stellar. On top of the excellent treatment, I love the office — it is organized, meticulously clean and the staff are fantastic. My appointments have always started on time, which is really important for me. I highly recommend them.
