To be honest, this cart deserves all the recognition in the world. My boyfriend and I eat from this cart a few times a week. In fact, we are considering having them cater our wedding. I have never ever been disappointed with their food. I hope you guys take my review into consideration and try it.

The Holy Grail of Halal. The Mecca of Street Meat. Between the great chicken and lamb that they grill with chopped peppers and onions, gyro pitas that are briefly seared in white sauce for a bit of extra flavor and softness(for optimal pita flexibility), and a flavorful homemade hot sauce that kicks like a Moroccan mule, you simply cannot go wrong here. I have tried dozens of halal food trucks around the city, and while many seem to be a bit similar in taste, this place is a notch above the rest(with the exception of the halal guys on 53rd and 6th, which is equally as good). The food is cheap($ 5 for a plate over rice, $ 4 for a gyro) and beyond filling. Make sure to ask for the«spicy rice» which is leagues beyond the standard halal cart yellow rice, as well as chopped up pita on top. If you know what’s good for you, get the lamb gyro with hot sauce. It changed my life. Forever. The guys working the truck are very friendly, and always easy to talk to and joke with — but they work hard and make great food. The truck is at 139th and Broadway Mon-Sat until 4AM — making this my go-to spot for late night food in the area. The greatest regret of my life is that I am moving to Brooklyn, and will no longer be able to frequent this truck. It’s too late for me, but it’s not yet too late for you. So, go now. Go forth and gyro.

The best halal food in NY. And the guys working the cart are awesome. Open late, always on point, and good prices($ 4 gyro as it should be, not like downtown $ 8 for a shitty one). Try the chicken over rice too. You won’t be disappointed.

Sucky cart outside of El Morrocco ran out of everything I wanted to eat, so walked up to 137th for some food-truck-lovin’ in the shape of a falalel gyro. He even had cucumber sauce! – Not that mayo shit trying to pass as my beloved white sauce! Yum! Finally had my 1stNYC steet cart falafel. Bliss. Even WITH that letto-y, tomato-y shit inside.
