MetVetNYC brings caring and compassionate veterinary services to your NYC house or apartment. Dr. Cary Nulton and her assistant, Kimberly Noyd, provide high quality, personalized dog and cat medical care. Our pets are valued family members. We know you feel the same way about yours!

History

Established in 2010.

Dr. Nulton has been practicing in Manhattan for over 15 years. In 2010, she opted to bring more personalized service to her clients by starting a house call practice.

Cary Nulton E.

Business Owner

Dr. Nulton has been practicing veterinary medicine in New York City for the past 15 years. She earned her B.A. in Biology from Smith College, then worked at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston as an ICU Nurse, Cardiology Technician, and Clinic Supervisor. She later attended Michigan State University (Go Spartans!) graduating 4th in her class and earning a DVM Degree. Following a return to Angell for a one-​year internship in medicine and surgery, she took a one-​year residency in Cardiology at New York’s Animal Medical Center and quickly fell in love with the city.

Her family here includes her husband Jamie, two very entertaining felines named Ginger and Gibby, and a happy little pug named Zoe. While they still mourn the recent loss of their beloved little brown dog (and friend) Betty, they are thankful for their many wonderful years together.

Cary came recommended by my husbands sister as well as a neighbor down the street. She and her assistant Sam are fabulous with our puppy. Our puppy loves them. Cary is great at handling the dogs and most importantly very knowledgeable. She has a calm demeanor. Love the fact that I don’t have to wait in line for a vet and that our puppy isn’t anxious in a vets office just to see a vet. I tell everyone in the neighborhood who has a new puppy about Cary.

How good is Dr. Nulton? Just ask my pooch. When I say, «Dr. Cary’s coming!» she starts jumping up and down in joyful excitement. What dog actually likes a vet visit? Well, Dr. Nulton’s caring nature and gentle calming touch makes a real difference, and why my poodle-​mix gets excited about her visits. The fact she comes to my home totally allays vet-​office-​trauma, turning what had previously been a high anxiety experience into something positive and pleasant.
She’s also not one to push unnecessary procedures and is open to discussing alternative treatments. I’ve also reached out to her via email to assuage concerns and she replies promptly and thoroughly.
I can’t say enough about how wonderful it is to have an at-​home vet — and one as experienced and compassionate as Dr. Nultion
Besides, Lulu absolutely loves her and I can’t think of a better recommendation than that!

In a city where the options are numerous, it can be difficult to find hidden gems. Dr. Nulton is one of them.
We had a spirited but aging English Springer Spaniel who met Dr. Nulton at the beginning of his life and reconnected with her toward the end of his life 13 years later. (she left the veterinary hospital for private practice) By the time she saw Griffin, he was already sickly from a liver tumor, but she showed him a kind of compassion where others failed. She took the time to carefully review his medical records to help find the right treatment plan for his many ailments. Where others told us to start thinking about putting him down, Dr. Nulton said «let’s find a way to keep this puppy spirited and moving.»
Because she comes to your home, the appointment is not rushed and she really takes time to examine her patients. That kind of convenience is fantastic when you have an anxious about going to a sterile veterinary office. It was a gift when our neighbor recommended her to us, and we wish we reconnected with her earlier.
Eventually we made the tough decision with Griffin, but we will always be grateful for the attention and care she gave him. Our other dog is now her patient and we refer all our doggy parent friends to her.

Dr. Nulton is an amazing vet and an amazing person. I am thrilled that she was recommended to me soon after a goldendoodle puppy, Jessie, became a part of my family. We are now in our second year together, and it’s Jessie’s second year as a patient of Dr. Nulton. Dr. Nulton spends a significant amount of time with Jessie during her visits, and does everything possible to make Jessie feel comfortable during exams. She is detail-​oriented, and great at explaining medical issues. Further, Dr. Nulton is regularly available for questions via email, which has been a great support for me these past years as I adjusted to having a new puppy (now dog) in the apartment. Simply put, I can’t imagine a better veterinary experience than I have had with Dr. Nulton and her wonderful assistant, Joanna. They are kind, caring, and talented. I look forward to their visits each year.

I’m not the type that generally does reviews, but all my experiences with Dr. Nulton and Joanna have been so great, they totally deserve 5*.
My bulldog puppy loves them, his butt wiggles the whole time they’re here. They handle him wonderfully, little guy doesn’t even realize he’s getting his shots.
They’re on time, answer questions, and charge such a reasonable rate, there’s no reason to go anywhere else.
In short, Blue and I are very happy. Will be recommending them to everyone.

A friend recommended Dr. Cary Nulton to me. Everything was professional and perfect. Dr. Nulton and ass’t Joanna arrived on time, took a history of my cat, handled her with care (and praised her beauty, lol!). They gave me good advice for helping her to lose those extra pounds. I also appreciated the explanations about vaccines. In short, MetVet is an excellent service –my cat didn’t have to leave the comfort of her home to get excellent care!
