Vile human beings. Nast nasty people who don’t even acknowledge your presence when you walk in and your car is sitting on a tow truck outside. Luckily I found a good place on Ludlow. Take my advice and go somewhere else.

Do not go here. Richard refused to write a written estimate for my damaged vehicle unless I paid him a$ 200 deposit. «How do I know you’ll come back?» He snidely asked. «I’m helping you. How are you going to help me?» he quipped. Then he refused service after I explained that every other body shop I had ever visited offered estimates without charge.

My husband messed up our pretty little Fiat a couple of weeks ago. The whole side and wheel he said. I wouldn’t look. When we got it back I could not see any damage and I swear it rides better. Thank you!

The guy that was working behind the desk around 3pm on 12−18−14 is a complete asshole!!! He became irate when i questioned why he would charge me $ 45 for a tire repair patch. Being frustrated and under a time constraint i was willing to pay it, but he became so angry that he asked that i leave. Thank god he did, i ended up paying $ 15 bucks just over the Williamsburg bridge.
Please stay far away from this place!

We had an awful experience. I dropped my car off at 8:30am on Wednesday for some minor dents and scratches, and were told that it would be 3 business days. It ended up being over a week. The owner/​manager is Rich, the Rudest Guy on the Planet. I called on the morning of the 4th day to be told that there were delays and it wouldn’t be ready til Tuesday. On Tuesday I can that call again…“we have bad news”. And yep, on Wednesday, the call came again… though this time Rich guaranteed that the car would be done by 2pm on Thursday. My husband went over there at 2:15 and he was told they’d only be done after 7pm. Yet no one thought to call before he made the shlep over there. THE WORST SERVICE EVER.
Rich is an awful person to deal with, full stop. The entire experience, from getting information about dropping my car off, the huge delay in the repairs, to the total lack of customer care, to paying the bill, was so incredibly unpleasant. I wouldn’t wish this place on my worst enemy.

This place is great. They did excellent body work on my car in a fast and friendly way. They also detailed the interior of my way and did a wonderful job. My seven year old who hated the way the car smelled, now is delighted to get in the car. Richard and his team are fantastic and they make a good cup of joe while you wait.

I recently switched auto insurance providers and I am required to have my car photographed at designated service centers (auto shops), and this is the only one in the near vicinity of my garage (downtown).
I called them to ask about it and EXTREMELY hastily the person on the phone told me the hours they offer the service and then hung up on me. I wasn’t even allowed to ask what I need to bring or if I need to make an appointment. Based on other reviews I very much plan to go somewhere else, out of my way just so I don’t have to deal with these jerk-​offs.
I find it amazing this is the only place in the near area and they act like jerks. Imagine how much more business they would have if they were polite and showed some reasonable customer service.

If I could negative stars I would. I had to get my car photographed for my insurance company and this place happens to be close. This is how my day went down.
I come in, they ask for my papers, I had them over to them and wait.
In the interim I need to use a scissor and ask one of the girls behind the desk for a scissor. She hands them over to me, then I notice her boss tell her, «get them back». She quickly asks for them back and I hand them back. I then noticed I needed them again and ask her for them again, to cut something right in front of her, and she says she can’t eyeing her boss. I said ok and proceeded to ask him myself. He looks at me and says no. I said «why not?» He says «I don’t lend out my tools». I said «I’m using them right here in front of you to cut something» and then he has the gall to say «I can’t lend them out because you might hurt yourself and sue us». So clearly he’s being a jerk just to be a jerk, I then politely ask «well then can you cut this for me?». And of course he says «no».
I then tell him «you guys have great customer service…»
This guys was so rude and customer service to him IS NOT paramount. He doesn’t care about your business nor your cars. Honestly I don’t even know why he’s there, he clearly doesn’t like what he does.
Don’t bother going there, YOU WILL regret it.

I had to have my car photographed by an approved garage for my insurance. These guys were closest to me. On a Friday I called them to ask if I had to make an appointment or if I just drop by. The guy on the phone was rude and yelled their hours at me. I cut him some slack because this is NYC. I went there the next business day, Monday, during the hours he yelled at me on the phone and he was equally if not more rude to me in person. I politely said to him and a woman sitting behind them desk «Hi, I called on Friday. You said I could have photos taken for Progressive.» The guy looked at the woman (not me!) and barked as if he were unreasonably wildly annoyed «I’m not taking photos this week!» She looked at me and said «He’s not taking photos this week.» She seemed embarrassed at his a-​holeness and kind of scared of him. I politely responded «I called on Friday and you said to come in Mon — Fri 9:30a-4p…» And he glares at me like he’s going to kill me. I think the guy was on drugs like crack or meth.
Never going back there. I’m scared of them.

I was referred to them by my insurance company for collision work. They were very cooperative, although it took longer than estimated to get the work done. The car looks brand new.
One caveat, when the owner tells you to take out all your valuables, do it. Two pairs of sunglasses were taken from the car, never imagined that such small items would be lifted.

Richard, the owner, is the nicest auto care person you can work with. That says a lot because this is Manhattan and the lower east side, which just screams «hey rip me off». Not this guy, probably because he used to be a cop. Great customer service and fast body work done on my Prius. Some of the highlights of the customer service were: driving you to the closest subway or directing you to the M14 bus, paperwork handled by one of the staff and my insurance company. Everything about my service was painless including the price. Didn’t go over budgeted amount from insurance company. Couldn’t have been easier. Car back to me in about 36 hours, washed and all. I recommend these guys.

Went there because they were a Hartford Preffered shop.
I have never been so displeased and frustrated with an auto company in my life. Main guy Richard was EXTREMELY rude and not helpful. I would not recommend this shop to ANYBODY. Honestly stay far clear from them. I was verbally assaulted on the phone. Place should not be in business.

unscrupulous and physically aggressive.
I went here to simply have NYS inspection and photo inspection for insurance and instead was verbally attacked and threatened.
Arriving at 8:45 am, I was told I had to wait 15 to 20 minutes for inspection.
While going over details with the man (owner) at counter I asked about getting my new plates put on the car during inspection. He barely looked up from his desk and told me he’d charge me $ 20. I said, $ 20 dollars?!? That’s a lot for 4 screws. He told me they make no money doing inspections and inspection was really a waste of time for them. I went outside to wait.
While waiting, I saw a working crew on the street and asked them for a screwdriver. After all, I had 20 minutes to kill. The worker offered to change the plate for me. A few seconds into the job the garage owner came out SCREAMING at the man. He said, «You are taking money out of my pocket!» Then, turned to me, as I was about to tell him that I’d give him the $ 20, and SCREAMED at me to get off his lot and he’d never inspect my car. At this point, I had no license plates on my car. How could I drive away?
The supervisor of the street crew came by, saw I had no plates and told me to pull into the street and they would finish the job and put on the plates for me. While we were on the public street, the owner continued to yell at the men. I literally felt physically threatened by the owner. He was very confrontational and got in my face.
p. s. My 2 year old was in the car and I was 4 months pregnant at the time.

Most assuredly do NOT recommend! I brought in my vehicle to get a quote on minor body work, as well as a complete detailing. The price quoted was more than double what the (high-​end) dealership in Manhattan quoted me! They must have seen me coming and thought to themselves, «We’ve got a live one here!» My advice: do your due diligence, get at least two price quotes, and do NOT bring your car here. Based on prices alone, this place is a rip-​off. You’ll do better elsewhere.

Not a good experience, even though this shop is on my insurance company’s «recommended list». First, I had to bring my car back a second time for them to get it right and it wasnt even a hard job… a simple door replacement. What was not perfect should have been spotted immediately and the car should not have been allowed to leave the shop. To me, this is sloppy work and not paying attention to detail. Second, my car received a parking ticket while in their care and the manager Sam was adamant on not paying it. As a side note, they arent good at returning calls… the phrase «I’ll call you back «means you will be calling the shop after you get tired waiting for the callback that doesnt come. I guess the moral of the story is go to the dealer as they know their own cars better than anybody… or any body shop.
