All around excellent customer service — incredibly nice, professional and accommodating staff. Highly recommend coming here vs one of those generic chains that doesn’t give you any level of personal treatment.

Painless experience getting new glasses and contact lenses. Staff very friendly and efficient. The optometrist was excellent. No real complaints, except that it took a little over a week to get my glasses, but I wasn’t in a real rush. Perhaps they could have a little more selection too (emphasizes plastic frames), but they had one of my favorite brands so again, no real complaint. My glasses are expensive for a variety of reasons; prices here are not especially competitive, but neither are they out of the ordinary, and they processed it with some small insurance discounts.

Made a last minute appointment around 3:30pm for 5:30pm. Arrived at 5:20pm and was out of the Optical by 6:10pm and the main delay was me picking which frames suited me best. Nice, quick and easy! Front Desk staff was very helpful and accomodating. The doctor was also very thorough, he answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable. Will def return! Oh and i forgot… If you like them on Facebook you get a $ 20 gift card! :D

Excellent service at the front-​end — Knowledgable and highly competent folks doing the exam. Best eye experience I have had so far. Fixed a longstanding eye issue to boot.

After traipsing throughout the Village, Soho, etc for a new place to buy frames I stumbled onto Luxeye on 3^rd Ave at 15^th St. They have a great selection, on display, not hidden in drawers or behind counters. They carry all the cool designers with most colors and styles in stock. Like the other reviewers said, no pressure just helpful knowledgeable staff. Danny was amazing, really knowing his profession. His expertly fit my new glasses and even offers to adjust my current glasses, did you hear that, «offered»! Very reasonable delivery time as well. Danny, Luxeye welcome to Manhattan!

I had my first appointment with Luxeye yesterday… and it was AMAZING. I found Luxeye through my insurance company. There were so many options, but the word «Lux» caught my eye. Immediately I looked them up on Unilocal and saw the awesome reviews already left. I easily made an appointment and couldnt wait to see if they held up to their reputation.
Side note: I inquired, provided some information, and made my appointment ALL through email with Lauren. She was extremely patient and gave me all the information I requested before I wasted both of our time.
Right when I got to my appointment I was warmly greeted and asked to fill out ONE simple insurance/​info form. It was the easiest process I have went through as a new customer. I was early for my appointment and it wasnt a problem at all. The doctor was super nice and explained EVERYTHING. The exam was very quick and very very professional. Every employee had a smile on their face and extremely helpful.
After I sifted through every pair of glasses I liked and some employee selections I decided on the perfect pair of Oliver Peoples. Never once did they try to steer me to something I didnt like or try to upsell me on a pair. They have an awesome selection — very tasteful.
I would highly recommend Luxeye to anyone who needs an exam or new pair of frames. I cross checked their prices with others and they were all the same. Now i just have to wait a week for my glasses — the countdown is on!

I needed to utilize my insurance before the end of the 2013 calendar year so I had an annual eye exam and shopped for frames at a different shop in BK. Had a great, comprehensive exam but hadn’t been able to find the right frames, so I did a little research and popped into Luxeye the next day. I walked in knowing two facts: they accept my insurance, and they carry Oliver Peoples. From the get-​go Joanne was super personable, helpful, and never once pushy. She assisted me while I tried on nearly ever pair of frames at least twice each for an hour or so. I narrowed down the selection to about 10 pairs, at which point Andy helped me –incredible efficiently!– whittle the list down to two options. I stopped by two more times before finalizing a purchase for Prada frames that are WAY too cool for me, but I love them anyway! Since my first visit, my husband found and purchased glasses here, and my bff tried on frames and made an appt for an exam. It takes a lot for me to recommend a service/​retailer to anyone because I’m crazy particular and can find fault just about anywhere, but I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Luxeye to anyone! It’s just too damn tragic that my insurance changed from Eyemed to VSP (which they don’t accept as of yet) beginning ¹⁄₁ :(. If anyone can recommend somewhere comparably awesome to go w/​VSP, holler!
Btw, purchased my and husband’s frames/​lenses on Tues (NYE), and they’re ready for pickup today, Sat, about 4 days ahead of schedule. Not bad at all! Fingers crossed that they look, feel, function perfectly!

Without a doubt, the best optical store I’ve been to. They provide the best service and most of all, carry a wide range of trendy glasses. I’ve never seen myself in glasses and now I have a great new look. thanks to luxeye and their staff!
