The mofongo is pretty good. I’ve been here’s few times(early in the day) and food and drinks still took forever to come!!! The last time I was there my friends and I were there for 6 hours celebrating an engagement. No one came over to offer anything. We didn’t need it. But as an hour when someone is spending 6 hours worth of money you treat them right. Don’t think I’ll be coming back. The service sucked and the drinks were weak. It wasn’t the best experience.

The best part about Lucky 7’s is the dj. I have to say my friends and I were boppin’ all night. But at the end of the day when it comes to overall experience this place is lacking. We arrived at 930pm and were carded at the door. The guy had nothing that said security and literally looked like a random man in a hoodie which was a little off putting. We walked in and were not greeted by the hostesses yet where looked up and down by them. After following her around the place… twice she gave us a table across the bar. The waitress was very nice but let us know ABOUT10 times that we would have to give up our table or buy a bottle at 12am. We could barely enjoy the food without her reminding and rushing us. I politely told her we would be leaving by then she had nothing to worry about. The pinchos were delicious but only because they were slathered in BBQ sauce. The drinks were poorly made, watery, filled of ice and drink mix(margaritas). I asked the waitress for a drink menu and the one she gave us had none of the beers listed only specialty cocktails in which she told us there was no other drink menu. No idea why this place is called a tapa bar btw. Our friend decided to meet us there as SHE was asked to pay a cover charge… TOEAT. Please tell me how this makes sense. Since when do they charge women uptown and even so at a restaurant? There is only a sliver of space to dance and most of the time you are interrupted by people walking past you. PS I would never pay cover for a place where guys can wear sweatpants and jordans and have children sitting while their parents are blowing hookah into their faces. Apparently they have rules about using more than one card on a bill, its crazy and makes no sense. One card and cash, or two cards. Something stupid rule that makes no sense if more than one person is dining. At 11:30 am our waitress went to go change into her club attire left us the check and did not once ask us if we want anything else she literally ignored our table. Sad part was only one other table was being used for bottle service. She could have made more money but tending to the people that stayed at the table instead of occupying the table and getting drinks at the bar but I’m sure a GED isn’t required for the position.

Honestly, every time I come here it’s always a problem, and a normal person would ask themselves«well why do you still go?» Well I go because it’s close to my house and because the deals there are always good. Unfortunately the service is terrible and 8 out of 10 of the waitresses are miserable. The first time I went there I went with 4 of my friends and we got there around 6PM. Nobody came up to serve us until 6:35PM. Mind you, it wasn’t busy. We finally got to order our food at 7PM after being there for an hour, and what we ordered wasn’t what we got. Unfortunately the waitress didn’t come back until 7:15ish to see how we were doing and it was then we got to tell her the order was wrong, no apologies nothing, just that we told her that we wanted what we ordered and that’s why we got it. Excuse me? It got to the point where we had to ask for the manager because it was just one issue after another(and still then she didn’t want to assist us). I believe her name is Elizabeth & she was wonderful. Needless to say there’s one manager who in my opinion is a joke & I can say that because I’m a manager for my company and I deal with people on the regular. Well the next time I went, I went with another friend of mine(I recommended the place once again.) and she’d never been. So we got there at 7PM and quickly got a table. We ordered our drinks, food and hookah and everything seemed fine. Unfortunately my friend went to take a bite out of her food and pulled out a piece of HAIR from her mouth. Yes, there was a piece of hair cooked into the food. I called the waitress over and asked for the manager, with a little hesitation she asked why and I explained to her what had happened. She was just as shocked as us both. After waiting 15 mins she came back and said«the manager couldn’t be found at the time.» Ok? That’s not my problem somebody needs to fix this issue that you guys caused. So she finds the manager(mind you I asked to speak to him and did he come over? No he didn’t), well she explained to him what happened and he seemed like he wasn’t interested in the problem. And not only did he not come over, he looked directly at us, turned around and proceeded to smoke his hookah. Granted they took the food off, but we were still hungry. Nobody offered us to replace the food or even if we wanted anything else. Just a simple«we won’t charge you for this plate.» Well duh I’d hope not. Moral of the story/review is, if you’re looking for good food and good service, steer clear of this place. If you’re looking for cheap goods, this is the place to go, but be careful you might get more then just meat on your plate.

They greeted me as soon as i walked in and got us seated without no hassle. The place was pretty crowded for a Tuesday evening. We had just came from a previous restaurant and lounge that we very bad service. We decided to come for some quick drinks before hitting up another spot . The happy hour here is the best ! I had a personal pitcher of sangria for only $ 15 while my friends and family had beer. They also gave us hookah like they promoted free hookah before 9pm during the weekdays if I’m not mistaken. I really liked how they brought us warm garlic bread. I enjoyed of the stuffed seafood inside of white chicken breast baked to perfection. It was accompanied by garlic mash potatoes and with buttery steamed veggies. Food here is very good and not that pricey. The service on some nights are better depending on the server but I’ve never had a problem here they are pretty consistent with their service and food. Will be coming back more often.

I founds this gem spot next to Mofongo house in an attempt to have a nice dinner with a couple of my friends. It’s a nice spot to hang out, drink and smoke some hookha. You can even dance if you want. When it comes to the food… I wasn’t a fan. It tasted like cafeteria food to be honest. I would go again just for a spot to hang out and the chill vibe it gave me but to eat I do not recommend.

Weekday happy hour is definitely worth it! HOWEVER, do not expect speedy or accurate service. Yea, well maybe its only worth it if you have the time and patience lol. The waitresses took our orders on a small napkin and we had to remind them of certain parts of our order many times. Though not efficient, they were all pretty nice. We had several people coming to our table throughout our time there. Happy hour goes until 8PM, they have a bunch of different drink specials. You can also get a $ 10 bucket of beer– win! Hookah is also available. If you don’t want to be around the smoke, this place is not for you. This place is pretty big as well. It is good for large groups! The food is also pretty decent. Taco Tuesdays(chicken, shrimp or beef). Everyone in my party liked their tacos. The guac was a little too salty. I wouldn’t say its a place for a nice dining experience but its one of those places that the food works if you want to have a good happy hour experience. I did have a friend who had his new iphone stolen the first time I went. It can get pretty packed, a little rowdy as well lol. So be careful where you place your valuables. The music is also good. Mostly bachata + other stuff you can dance too. I’ll probably be back!

4 – 9 happy hour and hookah are free until they decide It’s not. Changes all the time. I dislike the female bartenders and waiters because they are hateful and have a stick up their behind. I always go to the guys they are nice and very respectful. I always come here, especially because I live two blocks away. It gets popping especially on Tuesday and Sundays but it changes all the time.

Let me explain something. I WAS A PATRONOFTHISPLACE But as of now they are a piece of shit establishment. Their security is a joke. 20 dollar cover is a joke. This establishment is a joke. Don’t waste your money on another broke ass Spanish venue with overpriced bottles and sketchy waitresses. BBBWILLBESEEINGYOUVERYSOON.

This place is horrible in terms of service. It looks nice and has great music, but it’s one of these places that just want your money in return for zilch. Happy hour is $ 3 beers but a bucket of 6 beers is $ 20… What kind of math? Hookah downstairs is free but upstairs is $ 20? That’s not too bad if we were getting VIP service… But the waitress still isn’t back with my drinks or menu to order… Been here for 49 minutes. Do not come! It’s not worth it.

Boy, have I been waiting to give my review on this place!!! I came here on a Tuesday night to celebrate my friend’s birthday. Upon entrance, I liked the size of the place, especially the tall ceiling. As I sat down with my friends, the waitress saw me and didn’t even bother to ask if I wanted a drink or an appetizer. I know a few things about customer service and what I do know is that a new customer should not have to wait 20 minutes to be approached by the waitress. Let alone, I was calling her and she gave me the«wait» sign. As I was getting impatient, I already knew what my Unilocal review was going to contain. 25 lovely minutes later, she arrives with my Sex on the Beach. She looked so rushed and she spilled some on me. I instantly gave her a pokerface which shook her up a little, but good– exactly what she deserved. Anyway, I ordered a few more drinks which took about 10 minutes to arrive(way too long for a bar that wasn’t even that packed) and as I’m waiting, I see her texting in the corner. Like yo, if you’re gonna text in front of customers, at least conceal it so you don’t look unprofessional. But here’s the kicker– I ordered a Long Island and it is wayyyyyyy too strong. No, seriously– overpouring at its finest. I tried to mix it and it was still strong as f*ck. I asked my friends to try it, and they themselves thought it was way too much. So, I go approach the waitress and tell her that I want to return the drink because it is way too strong. She sends her coworker upstairs 5 minutes later and she says, «I’m sorry, we can’t return this drink.» I obviously asked why and she said, «I spoke to the manager and he said that drinks can’t be returned because it’s happy hour»…Um. I don’t give a f*ck what time it is, that’s horrible customer service and she’s honestly really lucky I wasn’t going to argue over a $ 5 drink. So I gave it to one of my friend’s friends when she arrived. Anyway– the happy hour prices are good, I’m not gonna lie. And the appetizers as well. But the highlight of the night was the mechanical bull. It was on my bucket list for so long & I finally got on, lol! I was the first one to go & then I got on like 50 times, lmao. It definitely compensated for that ____of a waitress. I had to leave early because I had work the next morning, and guess who didn’t get a tip. That blonde waitress with the potentially fake butt. Watch out for her, you might be waiting hours for your drink. Lastly, I gave this place two stars because of its atmosphere, mechanical bull, prices and appetizers. The happy hour drinks menu is kinda whack for the simple fact that they only have like 5 options to choose from. Oh well. I’ll be returning here, but I’d rather avoid that waitress.

Went here for a friend’s Birthday: Pros– Bottle service is 118 split that by 3 and that’s fairly cheap No fights Cons– Bad DJ, very YOUNG crowd, dressed in Sneakers and Jeans. Not your COOL– LAID back look but rather the RACHETLOOK. LOL. I’m 34 and I felt old. Either way, we were a pretty large group and we all had fun because the group was a fun group, and we ordered several bottles. HOWEVER I will NEVERRETURN again, unless for HAPPYHOUR, which I see people stating is cheap and I don’t mind cheap eats at all. As for celebrating a birthday or a night out on the town, NOWAYJOSE! lol

I really like happy hour, they have different happy hour menus on everyday of the week 4−11PM — the free hookah is only the first 1 then 10 $ to 25 $ for a refill. Great prices, nice environment. After 10PM the lights dim and the music is blasted so I normally go around 8 and leave before it gets live . (JUSTFORHAPPYHOUR) 5 stars.

More like a 3.5 but thats more because of the clientele that frequents this place. Right off the 1 train for those of us that use public transportation. Whats not to love about this place? First hookah is free. Great drink specials. Their food is actually good! They have food specials before 8pm as well. I tried their: 1) Picada– fried cheese, tostones, and beef was great but the pork was too fatty. 2) Stuffed tostones with chicken– brings 3, decent portion size, and the sauce they use with the chicken is tasty. 3) Fries– they were fries. Good. 4) Beans and rice– soo good! There is ample space and seating if you come early enough. Their music is usually really good(bachata, baladas, reggaeton, etc) and if you request a certain genre they usually try to get it to play for you. From what my friends tell me the waitresses are all very cute and fit. Do what you will with that info. Service is attentive. Downsides for me were: — When its a busy day for them they card and check your bags/purses at the door(ratchet alert! I knew what I was getting myself into. Also, for the record Im not opposed to ratchet, we all need a little bit of ratcheteria in our lives but I was thinking I was just going to happy hour!) — My friend’s phone was«lost» on a friday night. The staff did make sure to ask if anyone had found a phone but we all knew we wouldn’t find it. Make sure if youre having a good time you keep that phone in your pocket! Overall, this is the place to be able to chill or turn up during happy hour without completely breaking the bank. Make sure to hold on to your valuables though if you dont want the night to turn sour.

Aw man… Lucky 7 … Home of the plastic and hype beast. I’ve been here on more than one occasion and it’s always the same crap… Unlike small dive bars, the owners/managers only care to kiss your ass if you’re buying 4+ bottles. The service is trash, the men are rude. The manager was so full of himself. Dude relax, look where you are located. Where do you think you are, park avenue? The only time this shithole was even remotely decent was when my best friend & I went for a couple drinks, it wasn’t so packed and the bartender was a sweetheart. There was a guy sitting next to us who looked like he just received his income tax and kept buying rounds … So hey, CHEERS! Lately these uptown establishments have become overpriced and overrated. Like dude, have a seat. You’re on st. nicks kid, pack it up. The music is good though.

Lucky 7 Tapas Bar is the place to go to… on a Tuesday. Yes, you read that correctly. It seems that every Tuesday this place is LIVE and I’m glad I witnessed it myself. Parking around here is the ultimate BLOW so make sure you get here early enough to find a spot nearby. There are drink specials all night long from the moment you walk in the door. Every drink on the happy hour menu is about $ 5 and you get a free courtesy hookah the moment you walk in through the door(usually mint). Each refill for the hookah is about $ 10 – 15 depends on the hour. They also offer a couple of tasty treats on the happy hour menu. I tried the chicken quesadilla since I didn’t have much of an appetite. No complaints here! After a certain hour they brought out a mechanical bull for everyone to get on. That alone was my entertainment for the night. I’m pretty sure after 10 or 11PM they dimmed the lights and had a DJ playing different kinds of music(all Spanish for the most part). Can’t wait to go back to Lucky 7!
