Life is Balance®, is a line of apparel that celebrates the various sports and activities that balance our lives. Our sport designs will speak to just about anyone, from the avid golfer or tennis player to the ski or snowboard fanatic. Are you a scuba diver? A gymnast? Practice yoga or martial arts? Like to run or bike? How about swimming or sailing? Surfing or kayaking? WIth over 40 different sports and hobbies to choose from, we’ve got t-​shirts and hats for you and just about anyone on your holiday gift list.

In addition to our ever popular women’s styles which include short sleeve (both crew neck and v-​neck), long sleeve and tank tops, we have short sleeve t-​shirts for men and youth sizes for children Our shirts are so soft, you won’t want to take them off! The fit is flattering and oh so comfy!

History

Established in 2011.

Established in 1992, the firm is led by Sheryl Checkman, an award-​winning designer with more than 25 years’ experience in applying innovative yet pragmatic solutions to the full range of communications and design challenges.

Meet the Business Owner

Sheryl C.

Business Owner

Sheryl Checkman is President and lead designer at Sheryl Checkman Design LLC. In addition to working for clients, designing logos, branding promotional material and websites, she created the Life is Balance® line of t-​shirts as a way of incorporating her love of design with her love of the sports and activities that add balance to her own life.

Sheryl graduated from Cornell University and attended a Masters program in Communications Design at Pratt Institute as well as a three-​month design program at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark. She graduated from the High School of Music & Art in New York City.

Sheryl is an avid skier and scuba diver. She swims, plays tennis, practices yoga and enjoys taking pictures, both above and below the water. She adds her creative signature to her photographs by creating Digital Fine Art which she currently exhibits in her online gallery. She recently launched a line of inspirational sports-​themed T-​shirts under the name Life is Balance®.
