This place is a hidden gem amongst the hundreds of places to get food in Manhattan. As you enter, you don’t see much going on, but once you get to the back of the place you realize what is going on. This place is a small grocery store that stocks very specific Latin items, but when you get to the back you realize there is something awesome happening. There is ready to eat Hispanic(hood’ style $ 5-$ 9 plates of hot food) food in the back that gets freshly prepared daily around 11:30am-12:00pm. If you get there around this time, you can skip all the construction workers and the rest of the people who know about this location. The menu changes daily but they usually have a staple of things that is ready to take out and enjoy. Since my cafeteria at work is hit or miss every single day, this place I can always trust to satisfy my palate with a tasty home cooked meal. And let me tell you, these people put their love into their food. My favorite food is only available on Wednesday’s(oxtail) but I always eat whatever they have available because I know its quality and fresh. My top choices there are the Rabo con Arroz Blanco(oxtail with white rice) and the Pollo guisado(slow cooked chicken). they have specials every day for $ 5.95 Arroz, Habichuelas y pollo Arroz, Habichuelas y spaghetti Arroz, Hab y Carne de Cerdo but the rest of the plates are under $ 10
