Does anyone know if they are even in business anymore?

MONEY DRAIN! That’s what this place is. I’ve been goin here for 6 yrs! No joke & my legs or arms still haven’t responded! Bikini & underarm were ok, but since I stopped goin bout 6 months ago, hair is slowly but surely coming back. So Results are NOT permanent! Every time I’ve complained they tell me a diff bs story about hitting the follicles @ just the right time in their growth cycle or trying another machine. Guess what? I tried ALL of em, @ 57^th str, Wall Street & at 23^rd st. Stupidly Bought touch up packages until a couple of friends of mine went to a private lil office in Brooklyn run by a sweet Russian lady who had em hair free in 8 months & no regrowth. Ill be goin there, but I want my $ back from these ppl! Did anyone have any luck getting reimbursed from them?

Do not give Laser Cosmetica — ANY LOCATION — your $. I purchased laser hair removal package for their downtown (Broadway) location b/​c I felt it would have been convenient enough shlep from Brooklyn. This location was dingy — but who cares so long as the machines work & I’m hair free! They would repeatedly call to reschedule my appointments bc either they double booked OR one or more machines were not working. Then one day I called regarding a upcoming appointment to find this location was closed… no call, no attempts to book my appointment elsewhere — nothing.
So I myself had to call the other locations — got an appointment at the 23^rd street location. I arrived for my 9am appointment at 8:45am, to find another patron waiting there before me. The tech arrived at 9:15. Apparently this other patron was given an appointment for 8am. So she was taken 1^st although her name was not on the official schedule — my appointment was pushed back… fine. (FYI the center doesn’t open until 9am… but why not make the customer who has a legit appointment wait for some1 who has a totally bogus one?) Now for my next appointment at this location… machine is down here too. Now I’m calling AGAIN to other locations, which brings me to 57^th street location.
During my repeated trips to Laser Cosmetica — downtown location — I also (stupidly) signed up for biweekly skin genisis & dermabrasion… So now I am making a 40+ minute commute in both directions for a procedure that takes 15 – 30 minutes every other week. This is totally unacceptable…
I am finally writing this review bc last week I was scheduled to have my micro/​skin genesis done at 57^th street location for 10am — I sucked my 40 min commute & arrived at my appointment to find… guess what? the machine is down! I had my 15 minute microderm done & requested the manager call me ltr… & got back on the F to make my 40+ min commute back home. By 4:30pm I still had not heard back from the manager — so I called. To her credit she did apologize & did make appointments at another location for me. But all in all this was yet another example of how unacceptable this company is.
The only time Laser Cosmetica cares about its patrons is when you are giving them $ to sign up for services… once that bit is done they could really care less. This is a terrible company and if I could I would get out of my contract with them I would. I have 3 more hair removal appointments, after which I am washing my hands of this company.
As an aside the hair removal has been ok, the skin genesis is a lil stupid… Idk if anything is going on, my face will feel hot & there are flashs of light but I do not notice any real improvement in my skin. The girls that work there are mostly sweet & apologetic, some are better than others. Unfortunately they have to deal w/​frustrated customers all the time — its really not their fault BUT whats a customer to do?!? Also despite being a company w/​multiple locations in NYC all they have for customer service complaints — is an email address. Shoddy shoddy business… run dont walk away from any contract w/​them!

Hello, I just wanted to inform you that I have been dealing with a very annoying and frustrating billing/​debt collection issue due to the mistake at one of your locations. I had inquired about laser treatments and the person at the spa told me about the payment plan from Fortiva. I decided the next day not to get the deal, so I called and emailed my decision to the lady that helped me. I never received a response back, never signed anything to approve the deal but yet I am receiving (6 months later) debt collection notices. I have called your company many times and they say each time that they are going to «take care of it and call me back» and they never did. A manager was supposed to have called me back within an hour, and I waited and waited to no avail. I called them back many times regarding this and they seem surprised that its not taken care of yet. I am getting very frustrated and I am thinking of bringing this to the attention of Consumer Affairs. This is ruining my credit (I am a student) and I don’t have time to deal with this. I find it very interesting that when I was expressing interest in the laser treatments that I was receiving quick and responsive customer service (almost to the point of pushiness b/​c the deal was «ending» soon), but when there was a problem, suddenly everyone ‘no longer works there’, is ‘sick’, or is busy. I want to know what you are going to do to resolve this as soon as possible. Thank you and I hope to hear from you ASAP (seriously, no games please).

the staff is friendly, some girls are better than others as far as hair removal work goes, but in general is pretty fast job they do, the employes changes constantly. I think the laser machines in this company is old and does not work, Ive been going there for 1,5 year and my hair is still not gone, some hair areas are kinda gone, but most of it still grows back! I paid 2000 for legs and arms, and they agreed to still do sessions for me, but I am even not sure if I should continue going, as this takes forever! what if all my hair comes back after I wasted so many time with appointment, I am not going to go back, and just take this as a lesson, I wasted time and money. Save your money and avoid this place. they promised me the hair will be completely gone and keratosis pilaris will be gone because of that. thats why it gets one star and not two for friendliness. I can not stand lies, just to get money from ppl.

Everything abput this experience was as satisfactory as I would have liked. The staff, very knowledgable and friendly, the treatments for skin really make big difference. I recommend wholeheartedly.

I’ve been going to Laser Cosmetica for the past year and a half. I was hesitant to start laser treatments because i have darker skin, but i am seeing really great results. I’ve seen a lot of turn arounds but within the past six months, my experience here has greatly improved.

I’ve had my share of experiences at other hair removal places around the city and this is by far the best. Professional, clean, courteous, and the techs are always friendly and comforting (I’m a total wuss) and do a great job.
I’ve found my hair removal soul mate.

Update: The location I went to charged my account more than 3K for services I did not agree to or ask for. I am very upset after getting off the phone with Fortiva fraud department. Stay away from this company, they are crooks!!!

This is the strangest Unilocal business profile I’ve yet to see. Is this the Laser Cosmetica laser hair removal place or is this a laser tag joint? I’m not sure. Judging by the review: laser hair — judging by the photos: laser tag.
Well, this review is for the laser hair removal, although now I’m really intrigued as to where this laser tag place is at. Maybe they’re the same business and it’s 2 for 1… ok ok… back to my review.
Camila’s my laser angel. She will zap all the unwanted fuzz and be as nice and professional as people who are zapping you with lasers can be. The place is clean and professional and booking is very easy. I would definitely recommend Camila at Laser Cosmetica if you’re looking to remove some unwanted hair. As for laser tag, I’m sure she’d be great at that too.
…Now off to find a laser tag place and kick it 90s-​style.

I had won a $ 500 gift certificate from them for an event. Little did I know it was only good for their packages which are priced at $ 1000+ and $ 800 for something small if you are in a financial bind… They are very pushy and try to get you to buy a package deal. Not worth it compared to other places…
