Meet the Business Owner
Kerry R.
Business Owner
I first practiced yoga in the summer of 1999, in a sandy art studio tucked away on the North Fork of Long Island, in the sleepy hamlet of New Suffolk. It was… a wonderful challenge. I explored various yoga studios and practices, but my time was focused on my high school and eventually college athletics programs.
My athletic «career» left me a few souveniers: two herniated discs in my lumbar spine and torn labrum from repeated shoulder dislocations, eventually repaired with surgery. I wanted to keep an active lifestyle, but needed to develop a sustainable, longer-term plan.
Yoga provided me a low-impact arena to strengthen, revive and evolve. I became more aware and respectful of my limits, a continual practice both on and off the mat. After completing my 200hr Teacher Training at YogaWorks, I launched my campaign of private and group classes to share my yoga practice with others.
