History

Established in 1990.

A graduate of Brown University, Karen has over 25 years’ experience as a classroom teacher and test prep tutor. After teaching in Boston for The Princeton Review, she founded a tutoring consortium, creating PSAT and SAT courses for The British School and others. Now in New York, she tutors students in-person — and around the world via video chat — for a wide range of exams, including the SAT, ACT, ISEE, SSAT, SHSAT, GRE and TOEFL, while helping students excel in their school studies.

Karen produces presentations on SAT and ACT prep for The Brown University Club in New York and Summer@Brown University program. She edits test prep textbooks for major publishers including Barron’s. And she scores standardized test essays nationwide for Pearson, enhancing her rare insight into the SAT and ACT essays, too.

A parent of two recent college graduates, Karen relates well to families’ concerns about the test prep process and she enjoys excellent rapport with students and their parents.
