They have poor business and customer skills, except if you meet Diane or Bebe. The rest shout and will make rude comments.

Vahim was helpful, patient with our questions and the prices were very affordable. As the saying goes, we’ve paid for our education in fabrics. I can say, with 100% certainty, that we will be back. We got gorgeous upholstery fabric for some chairs we are redoing and fabric for curtains. No bells and whistles at this place– just an abundance of fabric at great prices!

HORRIBLE STAY AWAY. totally unorganized and unprofessional. Diana is a scammer and will try to rip you off any chance she gets. BEWARE doing any kind of dressmaking with them they will loose mess up or not deliver your order, all of the above have happened to me while working with them on custom made dresses.

Fabulous store! Don’t always have everything I am looking for but their service is amazing and their prices execllent and they exhaust all options to find you your fabrics. Highly recommend this to be your first stop!

They really need to put negative stars on here. Diana fabrics are the worst! I use to work there and I can tell you they are dogs. Fred and Diana are anti-​Semitic and are horrible people. They call African Americans svatsahs. Which means dirty rag. K… Enough about that, down to business… They are scum. If you look like you are rich, they will jack up prices to the sky, if you look like your not so rich, they won’t even bother with you, or maybe they will but just look at there faces and tell me there not being fake! If you want a good retailer, try «City Fabrics» ask for Ali, he is the nicest guy on the block and very fair.

Here is the story… sad and pathetic but true…(and WHERE are the negative stars Unilocal?— THIS place does not deserve ANY rating belonging to the première set of natural numbers!)

My husband and I walk in the store in Midtown and buy fabric and pay them roughly $ 670.00. I think «this sounds kid of steep but ok let’s see»
They say «Hey we can have someone make the drapes for you (I was going to do it myself). Not too expensive either.
«Ok» we say.

The sister of «Fred», «Diana», finally comes over after several cancellations, etc to measure the windows and to make a plan. She calls back and has to come BACK again for SOME unknown reason to measure AGAIN. Ok fine. I write her ANOTHER check for roughly $ 1,064.00. At which time she states she can have them done by the end of December. All the while, she is friendly and nice.
Months go by and finally in January she comes over again to check and see if the top part of the curtains hangs low enough to cover the metal at the top of the window and the top of the blinds. It does not. Fine so she will fix it. She then gets another check from me for $ 595 for beading made of plastic. At this point I’m thinking WTH beads cost this much but I am so invested and convinced they will look so nice that I pay it.
So far I have paid a total of almost $ 2,400 and nothing has happened.
ANOTHER MONTH GOES BY and nothing… my husband calls and calls (she RARELY, if ever answers the phone) and says that if the drapes are not hung by last night (FEBRUARY 8^th) then we wan’t our money back.
Guess what??? She shows up (LATE AGAIN) last night but OOPS not only does she not have the right hardware (even after coming to my home on 3 to 4 occasions to asses what she would need) but she STILL MAKES THE TOP OF TWO OF THE DRAPE PANELS TOO SHORT SO THE TOP OF THE BLIND SHOWS THROUGH!!! And SHE is not even around NOR is she answering her calls!!! My husband, me and the installation guy are standing around wondering «WTH!!!»
What a surprise! She has to come back in the morning! It’s 9:45 AM today and we are told that she sent her «installation guy» to a completely different address!!!
Finally he comes around 9:50am stating that she mis-​routed him. We also find out that HE is her husband’s uncle and prefers to not work with her because she cannot get anything right!!!
I also notice that ALL panels are different and the middle panels are too long AND the $ 595 that I paid for the cracker jack box beads??? There not even all here!!!
The work looks like something I did in 6^th grade home ec class with a glue and staple gun! YES! You read right! Staples SHOWING ON THE FRONT!!! STAPLES!!!
So I text her all of this and no answer!!! Finally she doesn’t give a crap about the shoddy work but states that I owe her $ 859 PLUS $ 150 an hour for LABOR!!! FROM UNCLE TONY!!! BUT! BUT! She will give me a deal for only a total of $ 200 for the labor alone!
THEN the «installer» tells me that she is only paying HIM $ 130 for the WHOLE THING!!! Yes that is correct folks! This «nice» lady is cutting «me» a DEAL and only making $ 70 off the «riddled with staples» CRAP that she wants to hang in my apt instead of hundreds upon hundreds!!!
At this point that was it. Even her own FAMILY said that she needs to stick with selling fabric and not act like a designer. She is COMPLETELY incompetent !!!
I told her that she is a scam artist and ripped us off and she dares to tell me that «I» wasted «HER» time!!! ME???
So $ 2400 for crap was not enough for her???
So trying to scam us out of hours of labor at $
from uncle Tony was not enough for her (esPECIALLY when it was HER FAULT for thinking that they construct 38 story buildings in NYC with cardboard???)
So then the woman just SHOWS up finally after «the installer» left and she never answered the phone and yes, my husband kicked her out of our apartment the MINUTE she started making excuses about the horror show that she created!
So now we have furniture moved, rare instruments covered in dust, dirt all over, holes in the walls and part of one sad, jacked up curtain hanging all crooked by it’s lonesome and she texts me «You owe me $ 859.00 and it was not nice of your husband to kick me out.»
Um…*takes a deep breath*…
Let me just say this Chiquita… in the words of the famous Charlton Heston…
You can have your money… when you come here, beat me dead to the ground and «RIP IT FROM MY COLD DEAD HANDS»!!!
And by the way… I will talk to my lawyers Monday… who charge $ 500/​hr.
However, when you lose and have to reimburse me I will CUT YOU A DEAL and only charge you $ 800/​hr!!!
P. S. Check out the BBB complaints and rating (I’ll give you a hint — it’s after E and before G). They want nothing to do with them.

This lame excuse for a fabric shop sure deserves it’s one star. The fabric they sell tends to be overpriced and in poor quality. The Chinese silk brocade tends to lose it’s threading every time you trim it.
The store employee Farid (aka as Fred) has poor customer and management skills. Likes to yell and curse at his employees and customers from what I’ve seen. Terrible and even unprofessional.
Unfortunately, the owners tend to steal and rip-​off customers of their money and claim that it’s the customers fault for not making their decisions whether they want the fabric or not.
This store doesn’t deserve your hard-​earned money when there are other locations that provide better service and products.

This total fabric novice was working on a costume that needed some sparkly bling. Saleswoman was incredibly helpful & patient. Fantastic selection of everything shiny & great costumer service.

I’ll take this opportunity to say «thanks so much» for taking the time out of your busy schedule to assist in my fabric selections. Your input has been invaluable. Once complete, I know I’ll get compliments on the great room you helped with last year. I wish you continued success in your business.

I was looking for fabric that was 72″ wide. They showed me a bolt and I bought 3 yards. After I left the store I discovered that it was only 54″. When I returned to Diana Fabric, she would not refund me. She offered me 72″ felt as a substitute and charged me $ 20/​yd! Next door they charge $ 6/​yd. for felt. When I asked for the difference between the cost of the original fabric and the way-​over-​priced felt, she didn’t want to give it to me. They SUCK!

A friend and i were in the middle of a project and didnt have much knowledge on how to tackle it. we came in here with loads of questions and they were very helpful, i felt like i was sitting in a classroom. There was one guy in particular that was just great and patient with us, unfortunately i forgot his name. not to mention they had the best price on the type of fabric we wanted (compared to the fabric shops in this area). i would definely go back there for any future projects involving fabrics!

I purchased 10 yards of fabric from Diana Fabrics. The woman who just had twins sold it to me. I was unsure about purchasing but I only use natural fabrics for my clothing line and her and another man persuaded me relentlessly that the fabric I was looking at was 100% cotton, and when I asked again to make sure they seemed exasperated, and kept repeating it was 100% cotton. I purchased it only to find out it was poly, or at least a poly blend (it formed a hard bead when I burned it, and self extinguished, whereas a natural fiber would have flaked and ashed and not self extinguished). The people at Diana are pushy and will tell you whatever they think you want to hear to get a sale! Awful.

1 star because there is no option for ZERO. They first told me fabric was $ 5 a yard, later they charged my Credit Card for $ 10 a yard!!! They doubled the price without telling me and won’t issue a refund or anything. Telling me its was no longer on sale! WTF!!!
