The CUNY School of Journalism is an excellent resource right in the middle of the city for journalists, researchers and social media professionals. The location is great and you can look at the vintage typewriters and read the inspirational quotes once you’re inside.
During the summer they have a number of workshops on blogging, digital media, new media and ethics, both at Cuny and the Tow Center and a lot of them are free. Yes free. So check out their website or follow them on Twitter to see what they are up to and take advantage of it if you’re interested. I have and found the staff to be wonderful and the school to be a great resource for the fraternity.

Pretty nice building and excellent journalism program for graduate students who already know what career path and direction they want to go in or for students who aren’t entirely sure and want to figure it out.
Their «newsroom» is pretty impressive and you can really tell that the staff and educators really take a lot of pride in their work and care about the students and their mission.
