I’m from Los Angeles and needed to send flowers to a client in New York so I came across City Blossoms. I called in and told them what I wanted and the price range. They offered various suggestions while incorporating the flowers I wanted them to use. They stayed on the phone with me and took every information down. I was so pleased with their service. I asked them to e-​mail me a copy of the receipt since I was obviously not there to get one. They e-​mailed it to me right away. Our client received the flowers and was so thrilled. She called right away to tell us the arrangement was magnificent and beautiful. I am very pleased with how City Blossoms handled the order and the type of customer service they provided. I would definitely order from them again.

Their web site shows some really nice work, but I had a really tough time over three weeks convincing them that calla lilies and roses were not going to cut it for my informal wedding before finally giving up. I’m sure they do great things for people who agree to what they suggest, just don’t expect imagination and out-​of-​the-​box thinking.

I stopped by the day before mothers day for a quick assortment of lilacs and was pleasantly surprised. Marianne was a great help and put together a beautiful assortment in less than 10 minutes. I highly recommend and I look forward to returning in the future!

Excellent customer service, fresh flowers, and awesome creativity. What more do you want in a florist? I went in looking for something for my assistant at work, and after explaining how much I wanted to spend, I waited about 5 minutes, before the employee returned with a beautiful arrangement that was bigger than I expected. Needless to say this place is great value and they really know how to make a great arrangement. Will be my go to FiDi florist from now on!

They created the most stunning wedding bouquet for my big day. I was an untraditional bride and wasn’t sure what direction to go with the flowers– Inna listened to my ideas and knew exactly what I wanted and was able to execute it perfectly! And– I love supporting a small family-​owned business ! Community is important to them and it shows; I recently asked one of the owners if she could make a small bouquet for a «spa day» I’m hosting for mothers of pediatric cancer patients. The owner insisted on providing one arrangement for no cost. This is the type of place where I will always show my business.

Ina and her team at this shop put together some wonderful centerpieces and bouquets for our wedding in June 2013.
We found her only two weeks before the wedding, but Ina and her staff were calm, professional, and helpful. They worked with my fiancée (now wife) to get us exactly what we wanted at exactly the price point we were looking for. The arrangements came out beautifully and were quite affordable.
We had a small wedding — we only needed around 6 centerpieces — but Ina and team treated us like we were spending thousands more.
I went back a month later to pick up a bouquet for my wife on our one-​month anniversary. Ina remembered us well and put together something very nice.
I know from experience that when you are planning a wedding, customer service and professionalism are two of the most important characteristics in all vendors. We were lucky to find several such vendors in the city during that time, and Ina and her team were among the best. I’d recommend to all my friends.

After to talking to several florists for my daughter’s wedding in the Flatiron District, we were very glad we chose City Blossoms. Even though this was a tiny wedding, they lavished attention on our order, giving us exactly what we asked for – including some out-​of-​the-​ordinary requests, like orchid garlands. Jennifer and team delivered the items themselves, on time and for a very reasonable price. We couldn’t be happier. City Blossoms rocks.

I work nearby City Blossoms and I called them to arrange a bouquet as a gift for my girlfriend’s mother. I was meeting her for the first time and wanted to pick it up as a gift as I was leaving work. I specified the situation (that I didn’t know her favorite flowers or favorite colors) and they said no problem at all and asked me for how much I was willing to spend. I told them I thought $ 50 was appropriate and I also explained that it needed to be easy to carry on the train (had to bring it on the trek to CT).
They arranged a beautiful bouquet with lots of lively greens and whites! It was in a vase and they gave me a big bag with handles so it was really easy to carry (and that turned out to be a bigger deal than I thought since there was nowhere to sit on the train!) City Blossoms really came through for me and I’ll trust them again with another order any time.

I came in, told them what I wanted and what my budget was, and they were very courteous and willing to work around my budget. They gave me a beautiful bouquet with roses for my mothet’s birthday. Great price. Worth every penny. Never had better customer service. I will definitely go there again.

I had checked this place out before buying to see what kind of customer service they had. The owner, Ina, was as sweet as could be. A few months later I decided it was time to buy some plants for my new office. I stopped in and purchased a lovely potted plant today I knew it was pricey because it’s a little boutique shop, but I was willing to pay a little more because they were so nice, and it was close to my work. I was charged $ 75. It’s a beautiful plant. When I got it back to my office and unwrapped it, I saw a sticker on the bottom of the stone pot that said 70.00. There was no dollar sign, but I took this to mean the price was $ 70.00. I thought it would be easy to go back and either get a refund or perhaps a credit toward my next plant. After all, I was planning to buy a couple more large plants for my office. Ina wasn’t in, and the woman I spoke to chuckled and said in a somewhat snooty way «and what makes you think we overcharged you?» I pointed out the sticker and she chuckled again saying «oh, that’s the product number of the vase.» Oh gee, really? How misleading. Now what do you think her motivation was — to be right or to keep a customer? I guess she just wanted to be right because rather than make me feel comfortable by saying «oh yes, that is misleading. Let me take $ 5.00 off the purchase of another plant» — which I would have been happy with — she just pointed out how she was right and I was wrong. It’s quite possible that she was right. Maybe it was a product code. I don’t mind admitting when I make a mistake. In this situation, however, I take exception to the way I was treated. I left there with a bad taste in my mouth, an unflattering view of the store, and a resolve never to return to buy more plants. And oh yes, I will most likely tell my colleagues and friends about my experience with the staff at City Blossoms, who would rather be right than cultivate a happy customer who might return to buy more plants.

A strange little shop. I walked in and asked for a bouquet for my bosses wife as a hostess gift.
Normally what happens is the florist asks what your budget is and then asks some questions about who/​what the bouquet is for, before making some suggestions. This is what I’m paying for essentially — your skills as a florist to make an artful arrangement.
Here the guy asked me what flowers I wanted and made me point out each flower??? I was a bit non-​plussed. I’m an accountant not a florist — what the hell do I know about an arrangement? Very strange indeed!
Towards the end his supervisor seem to click that this guy was out of his depth, came over and asked what my budget was etc. In the end I think I probably got a $ 100 bouquet for about 75 $ because she realised he’d screwed up.
I might go back — but I’d ask for one of the more experienced florists…

I regularly get my wife flowers from this downtown location of City Blossoms. Their arrangements are classy (no baby’s breath anywhere to be seen) and long-​lived. My local flower shop in Brooklyn does great work, but you best enjoy it the night you buy it, because it’s usually half-​dead by the morning.
Naturally, for Valentine’s Day, I went with them like I did last year. I looked them up on Google and just dialed the number on the Google page. I called, ordered via a courteous and efficient person, and went about my busy day.
I swung by on my way home and the place was hopping. My arrangement was nowhere to be found. Disaster! The owner spent a good long while looking around for a receipt, a record. Could not find anything. At one point, I even started to call the same number I’d called earlier, just to verify it was the same store, but hung up when I heard their phone ringing at the same time I connected. (They were busy enough without having to answer yet another call.)
My wife was waiting for me at home for our Valentine’s dinner. While waiting for them to figure it out, I looked up and saw some orchids. Idea! My wife loves orchids and just recently figured out that one windowsill in our house is ideal for growing them. No waiting for an arrangement. I could just buy the orchid.
The owner, Ina, gave me a great deal on the nicest orchid in the shop because she felt so bad about losing the order. She charged me the same for the orchid as I’d payed for the arrangement. She didn’t want to double-​charge me, but I said go ahead and charge my card. If it gets charged twice, I’ll call you to figure it out. They wrapped it up, and I got it home on the subway somehow.
Jackpot! My wife loved the orchid.
Halfway through dinner, I get a call on my cell phone. It’s City Blossoms asking if I was planning on picking up my arrangement.
… Uh. Whut?
Unbeknownst to me, Google gave me the number for their midtown location. This was all my dumb fault. Stressing out the poor owner on Valentine’s, the busiest day of her year. Creating chaos. All. My. Fault.
I told the person from the midtown store that I’d call today to sort all of it out. I decided overnight that I’d just let both charges stand. (Seriously, it’s an amazing orchid… and those things aren’t cheap.) It was the only thing to do, really.
I just got off the phone with them. They’ve already refunded my card for the arrangement I didn’t pick up.
Great, fresh flowers are hard to do. Great customer service is hard, particularly with boneheaded customers such as myself. This place has both.

Quick/​easy online order form, same day delivery if order by noon (received in 3 hours). Recipient was happy with the flowers.

Beautiful arrangements. Good service. I always receive modern arrangements that look pricey.

Great florist! There as a request on the morning of the wedding for a bouquet of flowers for the bride to hold on the big day, and I was sent to find it. City Blossoms were very helpful, able to assemble a bouquet within an hour from red and white roses.
I was told that the bouquet would have around 15 roses for $ 75, and was pleasantly surprised when they actually used 17, to make a more complete look! It was expertly bundled together and looked very impressive during the wedding ceremony itself. The roses themselves were big and extremely fresh, and continued to open and bloom for days afterwards!
