Chrystie Street Ballet Academy specializes in ballet classes for children ages 3 to 14 years. We are committed to bringing a professional dance education to children of all backgrounds and levels of experience in a nurturing and supportive environment. We limit the size of our classes so that each student receives individual attention, allowing them to discover their full potential. Our experienced and dedicated team of instructors follow a structured syllabus that is unique to CSBA. We build strong foundations in classical ballet technique while also fostering self confidence, discipline, and creative expression in our students.

History

Established in 2006.

Chrystie Street Ballet Academy has been committed to bringing a professional dance education to children of all backgrounds since its inception in 2006. Chrystie Street Ballet Academy strives to instill discipline, structure, creativity, and confidence in its students while giving them a strong technical foundation in classical ballet. CSBA maintains small class sizes for ages 3 to 14 years. The core faculty of 4 professional ballet instructors are committed to their students and to the curriculum and vision of the academy, so that each level is taught with consistency and follows the same structure. In order to reach a wide range of students, CSBA offers flexible tuition plans at an affordable rate.

Meet the Manager

Melinda R.

Manager

Melinda Rebman began her early dance training in her hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma with teachers from Ballet Oklahoma, Boston Ballet, and The National Ballet of China. She graduated with honors from Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas where she earned a BFA in Dance Performance as well as a BA in Psychology. Upon graduation, Ms. Rebman relocated to New York City to dance professionally. She is a founding member as well as the rehearsal director for RedWall Dance Theatre and has also performed with Bardos Ballet Theatre and other independent choreographers.

Ms. Rebman has brought her extensive knowledge of both classical ballet and modern dance techniques to New York City youth and adults for the past 10 years. Primarily, she has been on the faculty of The Ballet Tech School, Spoke the Hub Dancing, and Chrystie Street Ballet Academy.
