Chilis Grill Bar

Same review on Trip Advisor. Went at around 4:30 sat at the bar. When I arrived no bartender waited and a man in a red shirt walked behind the bar and did not say a word to me. When the bartender showed up she walked past me to the other customer sitting at the bar with food and empty drink and asked if he wanted another before coming over to me. When I questioned her on the happy hour drink specials she became a bit defensive. I ordered a large beer. She than again disappeared came back walked over to the other guy I think she was trying to hit on him. When she did take my order and it was brought to me I had to ask twice for blue cheese for my wings. Not once did she ask me how my food was or would I like another beer when mine was down to a ¼ of a glass. I travel a bunch and eat out almost every night. When I visit a chain I base my reviews on the service I receive. I can almost count on the food being the same most of the time this time it was good. Back to my unfriendly bartender I sat there for aprox another 20 min finished my beer and still nothing from her. Had to ask for my ck and I felt it was a struggle for her to say thank you. If you hate your job quit don’t burden other people with your poor service and bad attitude. You should remember me I left you a less than 10% tip due to your lack of quality service. You can ask all my friends I am not a lite tipper as long as the service is good. I waited tables and bar-​tended in my younger days so I know what it is like to survive on tips and all I can say is I never starved and my rent was never late. I am in the area aprox every 2 weeks and I will not go to this Chili’s again. As bad as the reviews are I wonder if they read them.

The most stupid restaurant I have been in my life. They told us it took 20 minutes and your table will be ready but it took them more than 45 minutes. Also the food got more than 50 minutes to prepare. It was a terrible idea to eat there.

Not putting the prices of the drinks on the menu is deceptive and irritating. Employees think so too… Good fish tacos though, spicy and lots of flavor.

Might as close this piece of shit. Not enough servers, manager sucks. Homeless people have better options. Close this place down.

When I first came to Manhattan, I didn’t care for this Chili’s. When I heard that they had another GM I decided to give it a chance. I could tell a difference right away in the quality of the food, the friendliness and skill of the staff, and the general atmosphere of the restaurant. I’ve started going regularly and it has become one of my favorite places in town. If you’re looking for a great meal and service in a comfortable atmosphere, I would recommend this Chili’s without hesitation. Definitely one of the better Chili’s I’ve been to.

Loved that the entire restaurant could hear the manager on duty this afternoon yelling to Renaldo in the kitchen to go ahead and use the same chicken on my salad when they «refire» my order for the second time.
«Renaldooo! NOW she’s saying that she doesn’t want the dressing. Just go ahead and use the same chicken on it.»
Ironic since I sent the first one back because the chicken was cold (second time, wrong dressing all over the salad). The third salad was missing one of the quarters of the quesadilla it comes with. Manager just seemed annoyed with me, no discount offered.
But hey, I get it, salads are hard.

Ordered the prime rib stuffed burrito. It was stuffed alright, with rice. Very little meat. Was over cooked as well. Sat in the oven too long, dried it out, and crusted the cheese. I was hungry so I ate it. Beer was cold as hell, so they get 3 stars…

Me and my husband always enjoy going to Chilis. We recently moved here and decided to check out the local Chilis. Needless to say it was our worst visit ever. The service was was great until she took our order. After that we barely saw her. Me and my husband needed refills on our drinks when she finally noticed she had us take our straws out and hold them never have I had to this especially for water. She left with our drinks and did not return for sometime. When she returned she had our food with no drinks. She said our food order was confusing and she had to sort it out. Our food order was completely wrong. My husband order an item and just ask that he not be served any onions which was only in the Pico instead they completely stripped his meal to nothing. On top of all that this Chilis does not offer the rewards program so you can’t earn any points and you have to go on your phone if you want to redeem a coupon you have. I am sadly disappointed as we haven’t found a decent place to eat in this town and thought Chilis would at least be up to standard.

Let me state up front that I love Chili’s. Yes, it is standard «Chain-​restaurant» fare. A lot of the food is pre-​prepared, pre-​packaged, and re-​heated. But usually, most locations have good service and the food is prepared very nicely — for a chain.
Not at this one.
When we went there, first the service was less than expected. It wasn’t busy, at all, but try to get someone to wait on you. The staff seemed to be walking all over the place, as if they were busy helping people, but there weren’t that many people there and nobody seemed to be getting service. I don’t really know what they were doing.
We ordered the Chicken Crispers. This entrée is usually my favorite at Chili’s. After this experience, however, I may never order it again. It came out under-​cooked and had a very rubbery texture. The flavor was definitely a little «off,» as well. I picked around the outside of the food, trying to find some that was edible, but that wasn’t easy.
We did talk to the manager on duty. He apologized, but there was no discount offered or remedy for the poor food. That is unacceptable.
I mentioned my experience to a few other people and they related that they had similar issues with this particular Chili’s restaurant.
Wouldn’t go back.

We are here once a week. Great staff. Food is decent. Drinks are good as well. Centrally located. Give it a try!

Bartender was friendly and took good care of me service wise. I had tacos with rice and beans which were a little over done since the sauce and cooked to the hot plate and had to wait for it to cool down and eat. Overall it tasted good and I will be back to this chilis in the future to try something else.

Tonight was my first time at Chili’s and it was an absolutely terrible experience. First off, the restaurant was pretty busy, which is standard for a Saturday night, so a 10 minute wait for a table wasn’t horrible. Everything that happened thereafter, was. My friend waited 20 minutes for a margarita. It took 30 minutes to get our appetizer. We waited approximately 60 minutes to receive our meals. My daughters macaroni and cheese (which looked and tasted identical to boxed mac and cheese) was ice cold. Literally like it had been in a refrigerator. My margarita grilled chicken came with dry, flavorless rice and black beans (obviously from a can) that were cold and dry. My friend ordered a grilled chicken salad and received a chicken sandwich. Our waitress was «less than attentive» and had to be flagged down several times. I will NEVER return to a Chili’s again, and will be sure to share my first and only experience with anyone that mentions the restaurant. Not to mention, the bill was $ 32 and for that price, I could have made MUCH better tasting and WARM food at home.

Chain restaurant with expected chain quality food. This is what I expect from Chili’s, so that is not why they get 2 stars. We are new to Manhattan and have been very pleasantly surprised by the service you get at restaurants. It has been very impressive. This restaurant does not measure up. We have been 3 times and I am now convinced this is where all the servers go that can’t get jobs anywhere else. Tonight I asked for salsa for my Mexican dish. Server kept giving me excuses of why he couldn’t bring it out — cooks won’t listen, kitchen is too busy, etc. My family finished their meals before I got salsa. He finally brought it out with this smile on his face, holds it up in the air and yells, «Victory». I thanked him and said I now needed a box because everyone ate without me and I will have to eat at home. He didn’t apologize at all, but I truly don’t think he even had the attentiveness to realize the issue. Just one example of several issues we have encountered there. If you want mediocre chain food in manhattan, there are better options with much better service.

Iv’e been searching for the best hamburger in Manhattan and Chili’s has won.
I find myself going there every time I want a burger. Great taste and always juicy.
Thanks Chili’s. Love their flatbreads too but order the drizzle on the side.

Pretty standard location. Service is usually good or average. Food is pretty consistent. Burgers are probably my go to choice.

Not sure what’s wrong with the other reviewers, but I don’t think they have ever been to a chain restaurant before. Food is just the same as any other Chilis, but the employees are pretty cool. All 4 times I’ve been here have been with pretty chill servers.

Used to be good. Portions are getting smaller while prices go up. Long wait. Slow service.

Do not eat at this Grill Bar… Wait staff is ill equipped to wait on group of eight… we ordered food and received part of the order immediately (soup and salads were luke warm) — the rest of the meal came to the table either burned or under cooked. Manager came to the table three times… and promised to get the food delivered immediately… and we still waited… plus the waiter was less than happy to be serving us… he even mentioned that the cook staff was not the greatest.

Just your regular run of the mill restaurant with a bunch of crap on the wall. Food is good if you want a steak or burger. Staff is timely and sometimes pushy.

15 minute wait means… 45 minutes. This happened the past two times we’ve gone.
