Medical students should observe«Dr.» DeMarco for an example of an egregiously bad bedside manner. After having tremendous problems with the office staff trying to deny me the ability to make an appointment there, I finally arrived to have a pain in my left hand looked at. The office staff were rude and I waited over 2 hours for my appointment. Finally the moment arrived where I was waiting in the room and the good doctor comes in. As was stated in the review, he was hurried and seemed like a miserable man. He did not look up at me at all during his«greeting» of, «What’s going on?» I said, «I have this pain in my left hand and-«. He then interrupted, «What? I don’t do hands» and spun around and hurriedly exited the room! I sat there for a couple of minutes not knowing what to do. A copy of the Hippocratic Oath, hung on the wall, mocked me. I then stood out in the hallway when I saw him pass by I said to his back as it hurried away, «Dr., what should I do?» «Make another appointment with the front desk“said the vexed man, of course without looking at me. I ended up going to acupuncture(Pacific College of Medicine) and the pain in my hand went away. No one I know who has seen this doctor has anything positive to say and we all try to avoid him like the Bubonic Plague. Dr. DeMarco, if you ever read this, you will know that your former patients believe you are a first-class jerk. You may make a lot of money, but I’m sure you are aware at some level that this does not begin to compensate for the pitiable, small man you have shown yourself to be and the suffering you duly experience as a result.

I went to Dr. Demarco after I had an acute injury to my knee during an athletic event. I wanted to get into a doctor’s office fast, and his super super friendly and helpful staff people(Jessica) scheduled me right away. There was a pretty long wait in a busy office of about an hour, but DeMarco barely looked me in the eye when he rushed into the room – quick, promptly gave me a prescription for an MRI and Xray after a fast history and exam. I got another appointment right away after the results came in, and he offered me alternatives for treatment. If you some course of action as fast as possible, I recommend this office, but don’t look for adequate time spent with the patient. They accept most kinds of insurance, and have flexible office hours.
