Cellino & Barnes

I was in a car accident and got hit from behind which caused me to have whiplash. I’ve had an MRI which shows I have two herniated discs. I’ve been going to physical therapy which does not help and now I’m going to pain management for the pain that I constantly have due to this accident. So I called cellino and barnes. They basically told me that they wouldn’t take my case because they wouldn’t make enough money. I have permanent damage and chronic neck pain but I guess I don’t deserve to be represented by them. Money hungry pieces of shit! How unprofessional. If I could I’d give them less than one star I would.

A brief primer:
No-​Fault law is a win-​win for the insurance companies but not for you or me. If you are in an accident you will likely need a lawyer. This is a time consuming, humiliating, and dehumanizing process. Your injuries are chalked up as pre-​existing conditions by the insurance companies.
Why I cannot recommend Cellino & Barnes:
My «experienced trial» lawyer foolishly convinced me to go into arbitration. Literally adding insult to injury — I was awarded a very low settlement because of a mis-​diagnosed pre-​existing condition that my lawyer couldn’t be bothered to do anything about.
Your C&B attorney will tell you that they charge ¹⁄₃^rd of your settlement. They are purposely not clear that additional fees apply and they will take this out of your portion of the settlement.
Like much legalese the retainer is purposely written to confuse you. Your C&B attorney will make you sign a power of attorney document so that they can directly deposit your settlement into their account. This way they cut you a check minus all the fees and costs that you were never privy to. Whether you know about them or agree with them or not.
When you are in an accident you need a lawyer you can trust. Would you trust a firm that participated in «pre-​settlement loans»? What about a firm that tricks it’s own clients?
In the world of no-​fault litigation, lawyers are wolves and clients are sheep. Not only will they eat you — they will fleece you first.

We hired Bruce Cantlin and it was the biggest mistake of my life. He threw my case on the backburner, there was no communication for over 6 – 8 months and now we receive a letter after almost 2 years they are dropping my case. This is unprofessional
