History
Established in 1987.
25 years of experience helping people make the changes they want in their lives become reality.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I was a successful human resources executive. I noticed that the favorite part of my HR job was the counseling. I decided I wanted to do full time what I loved doing and went back to school for the first of two graduate degrees in the field of clinical psychology.
My office is on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and is a warm, inviting place where you will be treated with compassion and respect. We’ll work together to obtain the results you’re looking for.

Experience: More than 36 years experience working with adults (18 and older) in a private practice setting. Prior to opening a private practice, I worked for a number of years with individuals and groups in organizational settings.
Education: I have two Masters Degrees. One is a Masters in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University (essentially, this means a Masters in psychotherapy), and the other is in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling from William Lyon University. I’ve also been trained in many ways of working therapeutically with people, including cognitive-behavioral, EMDR, IPNB, interpersonal and psychodynamic.
My belief is that the type of therapy has to fit each individual, not the other way around. In working with you, I’ll bring all of my experience, education and study to our work together; and I’ll also put all the specific knowledge to one side and really be with you, knowing that together we can create the therapy that is right for you and is what you need.
