C&M OrthoSports Inc is a New York State accredited organization dedicated to providing the highest quality physical therapy continuing education possible. Our courses are based on the principles of evidence based medicine, expert clinical reasoning, and precise implementation of manual therapy and therapeutic exercise. Our instructors have had extensive experience in orthopedic and sports physical therapy, athletics, training, and coaching. The broad knowledge readily available through C&M OrthoSports will equip you with a comprehensive framework on which to build proficient critical thinking and psychomotor skills. Our instructors incorporate multiple schools of thought and concepts into each course. We at C&M OrthoSports promote the use of an eclectic array of tools in order to effectively treat patients.

History

Established in 2012.

Michael Masaracchio and Stephen Caronia have nearly 20 years of combined experience in orthopaedic physical therapy. After attending numerous continuing education courses that were lacking, expensive, or both, they decided to start running courses of their own. After receiving New York State accreditation in 2012, C&M OrthoSports ran it’s inaugural course in May 2013.

Dr. Michael Masaracchio has been practicing physical therapy for over 10 years. He is currently an Associate Professor and Director of the Anatomy Lab at Long Island University. He is the senior staff physical therapist at Masefield Cavallaro Physical Therapy, where he specializes in the examination and treatment of orthopedic and sports related pathologies. He is board certified in orthopedics and sports from the American Physical Therapy Specialization Council and has recently been appointed to the Specialization Academy of Content Experts for the sports physical therapy examination. He wll soon complete a Fellowship in Manual Therapy from Regis University.

Dr. Masaracchio has presented at local and national conferences on various orthopedic and sports pathologies. He has coauthored 1 textbook and 3 articles, most recently «Short-​Term Combined Effects of Thoracic Spine Thrust Manipulation and Cervical Spine Non-​Thrust Manipulation» appearing in JOSPT.
