I visited Dr. Kelly to get his opinion on my FAI and a potential revision surgery. He has a very convenient and updated way of taking an MRI of the hip without needing to inject any fluid inside the joint. For anyone out there who has had an MRI arthrogram and knows how much it flares you up(for me, months), this is a really great way to see whats going on with the hip without pain. He spent a good amount of time with me and did explain the issues with SI problems that occur with a labral tears and FAI. The ladies at the front desk were nice and helped me file everything with my insurance especially since I came from out of town. There was an image he wanted me to have as well that is done with a CT Scan but we talked about the charge being fairly high at HSS versus if I were to have it done locally. He had his PA take care of everything, faxing the order to my local hospital back home. When the CT Scan was sent over to him, he called me personally to go over his opinion(this was about a week or so after my appt in NYC). I thought that was caring of him to call in the evening to personally go over the imaging report.

Dr. Kelly is the most skilled, thorough hip specialist in NYC. He performed arthroscopic revision hip surgery on me and I am feeling so much better. If you have a hip problem you MUST see Dr. Kelly. Him and his staff will lead you on a smooth path to recovery.

I went to 3 other doctors before finding Bryan Kelly. I was at my wits end when I first went to him. I had been in pain for almost 2 years with a torn labrum and bursitis and the other doctors wasted my time and did not help in the least. Finally a PT I went to recommended Dr Kelly, I was told he is not just the best in NY but the best in the world. Dr Kelly is a very busy man, but I did not feel rushed at all. He spent plenty of time with me explaining everything and gave me his honest opinion which was that I needed surgery. He repaired my labrum tear and cleaned up my bursitis. 3 months after surgery I could finally walk without pain. My quality of life has dramatically improved and I have him to thank. Please don’t waste your time with other doctors, get an MRI immediately and go to Bryan Kelly for any Bursitis /labrum/hip problems.

I never thought I’d call an orthopedic surgeon sweet, but here goes … It’s hard to get an appointment with Dr. Kelly and now I know why. He is one of the most thoughtful, considerate and intelligent physicians I have ever seen. I went to Dr. Kelly for my hip arthroscopy and ever step of the process has been great. I tend to think of surgeons as pushers, but Dr. Kelly took things slowly and suggested that I give physical therapy one more chance before going through with surgery. That didn’t work, but it was a good idea and I’m glad I did it. Prior to surgery, Dr. Kelly took the time to explain what was wrong with me and what he might find during surgery. He didn’t dumb anything down, but he somehow made sure that I really got it. I was also incredibly impressed by his diagnostic process, which he walked me through.
