Charged me $ 1500 to fix my subzero fridge. It had the same problem a year after they «fixed «it. That’s not the bad part, machines break down, but to ask for $ 80 to come back out and take a look? I will not be a repeat customer. Feel completely ripped off.

I first found Appliance Pro when my washer went on the fritz about a year ago. They came when they said they would and did the repair in a professional way. I haven’t had any problems with the washer and now I need my dryer fixed and I am calling them. I found it can take a little while to connect with them, and their response also takes a little while (a day or two), but they come when they say they will, they do what they say they will, and they do really good work. In NYC that is saying something. I give them a high rating and if your expectations are realistic you probably will too.

Scam artists indeed. Came to look at my wine cooler that was broken. Charged me $ 97. for initial visit and said toward the repair which would not be much as it necessitated only a small piece to be changed. After not hearing from them for over a week, and finally getting through to them, they said would cost an outrageous $ 495. to fix. I asked for our down payment back and they refused– said it was price of coming out and looking at job. Crooks.

I’d used them several years ago and was shocked to see that they had some kind of F rating. I decided to take a chance anyway. They came the same day, within the time window, and fixed my washer promptly. They were courteous and helpful. I would definitely recommend them.

I am impressed with Appliance Pro NYC and the service I received. They responded promptly to my call and spent more than an hour to diagnose the problems with my Miele dishwasher. I never had a problem with this machine in the 16 years I’ve owned it. I was skeptical at first, but the reps from Appliance Pro were professional and courteous. They took the time necessary take apart the dishwasher and then put it through various tests. They found worn out switches connecting the door and connecting to the floor cable and clogging due to an accumulation of soap build up through the years. They replaced the switches with new ones and cleaned out the dishwasher. Everything was straightforward and honest. They did not waste time with excuses, nor did they tell me I needed to replace the machine. The cost of their labor was not cheap, but for their time and labor, I thought it reasonable and well worth the price, especially since it would have really been expensive to buy another machine or even replace more expensive parts.
My experience was very positive with Appliance Pro NYC and I won’t hesitate to use them again if I have problems with other appliances.

I agree with the previous comment. This is a SCAM ARTIST. He will just charge you to go to your home and then quote you three times the market price for a part replacement. If you don’t agree with this robbery, he will just keep the original money he charged for the visit. This person belongs in jail. Don’t let him rob you! There are plenty of honest people out there. This guy is not one of them. He is also a bully.

Scam Artists Indeed… They came out to «fix» our dryer. (Same exact MO as Allie experienced)… They left leaving the dryer not working. We contacted them to come back and after third and unsuccessful visit it was painfully apparent they had NO CLUE what they are doing. We then ran our washer that evening which created a huge flood and ruined our hard wood floors because the inept tech blocked the water line to the washer. Needless to say BEWARE… they are total ripped offs.

It’s hard to trust a lot of these repair companies but these guys did a great job fixing my Bosch washing machine in an hour. It’s not cheap (house call plus labor costs) but they got it done (fixed the pump) same day in an hour with no sketchy bs about needing parts or some sort of dire situation.
I would definitely hire them again for repairs. One star off because they showed up for a 12:30 — 1:30 appointment at 10am, without notice, but luckily we were home to let them in.

these people are scam artists. They came out to «fix» our dishwasher. After 3 days, the dishwasher was not working again. We contacted them to come back out and they did. They said there was something else wrong and they would fix it. They went out to their car to grab the parts and never came back in. After two weeks of waiting to hear back from them regarding the broken dishwasher, we finally called to find out what was going on. They told us it would be an additional $ 100 to fix the dishwasher. We had them come back to fix it, paying the additional money. The very next day, BOTH dishwashers were broken. I called to ask them what was going on and they were completely rude to us. At this point, we just want to get our money back and have someone else who actually knows how to fix a dishwasher and isn’t rude to us come out. We will be contacting the better business bureau to report this terrible business, and I would NOT recommend that you use them, unless you feel like getting ripped off.

Our Miele dishwasher cranked out so we called the manufacturer to arrange a repair. Since no one at the Miele office believes in returning phone calls, we looked around for a local company that specializes in this brand. We ended up choosing Appliance Pro b/​c they had the best diagnostics rate. They answered the phone quickly and were able to come that same day to check out the problem. They successfully diagnosed the issue, ordered the part (that same day) and 2 days later, came back to fix the unit. It took them less than an hour to do the repair and the bill was very reasonable. The repair also came with a 6-​month warranty.
We are very pleased with this company and will be using them in the future.
p. s. A guy named Armando is the one who did the repair, along with another technician. Both were friendly, informative and very professional.

Armando (owner) and his colleague Hector came by tonight to fix our microwave. They offered to do a free estimate and gave a 1 hour window which was a huge time saver. They did not charge for the estimate — everyone else charges! After the estimate he ordered the parts and he and his colleague arrived as planned. They were polite, efficient and fixed the unit with no problem. Armando trained in electronics in Ecuador and has been doing appliances for years. He really knows what he is doing. I would definitely use them again. Nice to feel like you can trust people.

These guys were great. I called them up yesterday in the late afternoon to describe a problem with my dryer not working. I gave them the model number and the error code the dryer was displaying and they scheduled an appointment for this morning. When they arrived, they went right to work and already had the parts needed to fix the problem. The dryer was repaired and running properly within 30 minutes. I couldn’t be more impressed with their service.

The water dispenser in our fridge no longer worked. We called in GE (the maker of the appliance) and they said it wasn’t anything on their end and that it was probably an issue in our building. We called our building (we are a small nonprofit and have an office condo in FiDi) and they said it was nothing on their end. We called GE in AGAIN and they said nothing could be done. We called in Appliance Pro NYC and told them our tale of woe. The technician said «No, something CAN be done and we’ll figure out what that is.» In under 30 minutes, they had identified what the issue was (the wrong filter was being used) and they had the correct part installed the very next day. Everyone from this company was courteous, the fee was reasonable, and we are grateful to them for being focused on finding a solution. I will definitely use them the next time we need an appliance fixed and I highly recommend that you use them if you want a professional, affordable, and proper solution. I’d give them six stars if that was an option!
