Apple Engraving

Easily one of the most unprofessional service experiences I’ve ever had. Had a bad vibe when I walked in, as the owner seemed frazzled that someone was entering her store and confused as I tried to explain my simple order (a date and initials on a small piece). I should have went with my gut, but decided to continue based on the reviews. Mistake. A week after my order we had a minor misunderstanding about the price of adding one more piece to my order which deteriorated into insulting emails where the owner was claiming I had requested the work to be rushed (not true. I actually told her to take her time, my wedding wasn’t for another month.) Not to be out done, her partner started emailing me insults as well. As for the quality of work, Meh. It’s ok for small favors, but I wouldn’t trust them with anything big. Also, different prices for cash vs. credit. I guess someone doesn’t like paying taxes…

Fantastic experience. I asked them to engrave my fantasy baseball trophy. The trophy is a wooden baseball bat, which is difficult to work with. I know because the last trophy was messed up by a different engraver. Apple handled it seamlessly and turned it around in under a week to ensure it was ready for the season.

I went to them with my Apple Watch that had an engraving on it with my initials. I wanted them to remove it because i didn’t like it one bit. They assessed the issue and had it fixed/​removed in an hour as I waited. The work was very professional and clean. You can’t even tell I had my initials in that area. Well done. These guys are Pro’s. I recommend them and also they were very kind and polite.

Inferior experience at best. Do NOT give them your business, especially with anything of value. I had a picture frame engraved recently. The engraving work was passable, however the frame came back with multiple scratches on it. They tried to claim that the frame was scratched prior to their work and refused to make any attempt to rectify the situation. The frame was bought from a high end retailer and in secure packaging prior, so it’s a very low probability that’s the case. They said it just happened to be a coincident that the scratches were along the same edge as the engraving. Furthermore, they said they noticed the scratches before. Why not inform me prior to stating their work then?

I needed a money clip engraved within 2 days, to be given as a wedding present for my future husband. Two other businesses were too busy to take the job during the Christmas rush, but Apple Engraving got it done on time and BEAUTIFULLY! I am so pleased, I would recommend the business to anyone looking for engraving.

They literally saved my life! I forgot to put names on my client album and trying to find someone to do that in NY.

I was afraid about burning left overs from the laser they using to make my order. I was positively surprised, no burn and the quality is just amazing!

Excellent! I had a glass display box engraved at Apple Engraving for my wedding last minute. I called on Tuesday, dropped it off and they had turned it around by Thursday afternoon for a very reasonable price. They offered suggestions on what they thought would be best aesthetically, and followed my directions to a T. It looked really lovely and I couldn’t have been happier with the finished product — Exactly what I wanted! Highly recommend.

Of all things, I needed a 3 ft ax engraved. Spoke to a few other engraving shops before reaching out to Apple. No one else was willing to do it, which made me a little hesitant.
All my worries were quashed when I saw the final product — beautiful job on the ax, and all the accompanying paperwork that I left with them was in pristine condition.
They did a rush job, and the price was very reasonable. Next ax I get is getting engraved here…

«As good as it gets» — for real. This place is fast, efficient, meticulous, professional, friendly, and just really excellent! Can’t think of any more positive adjectives, but here is what happened in more detail:
At 3pm on a Wednesday afternoon, I heard about a surprise party at 1pm the following day for a promotion. Our team thought it would be nice to give our boss an engraved award, so I got in touch with Apple Engraving and asked for help. They asked me to send them an idea of a type of award that I would like and some draft of an engraving. I sent it to them by 4.30pm and the guy called me and suggested a few awards that they had in stock to save time. I looked them up online and decided to go for it, finished the logo and sent it around 7pm.
To be honest, I was a total pain in the ass, asking for an additional change/​adding the date very late in the process. He went ahead and did it and remained friendly.
The guy was working till almost midnight, when he prompted me to send him the payment information to continue his work, and of course I had to pay a rush fee — but it was totally worth it. The following day at noon I could pick up the award and it was STUNNING! I had trusted the guy with the entire thing and I’m glad I did: he was very resourceful, suggested a few things and even pointed out options to be considerate about my budget, was very honest and transparent. It became very evident that he has been doing this for a while and is a total pro.
I really absolutely loved the experience, we made our boss incredibly happy with this award and it’s now displayed in his office. Would go back in a heartbeat! In this vein again: thank you, Apple Engraving, for making this day so special! It really meant the world.

I wanted my name engraved inside a leather bag. I explained what I wanted in person, and then sent a pdf with an image of exactly what I wanted. I didn’t get it. I don’t know how I could have communicated more clearly. I could tell they were sorry, and they offered a discount on the spot, but really the money is nothing. Even if it was free I’d still be left with a poorly engraved 500 dollar bag. I’m trying not to be mad about it, but I have a lot of regret. If the engraving had been in a more visible place I’d be furious. Thank god it’s on the inside.
For disposable stuff like name plates and such I’m sure they’re fine, but I wouldn’t bring them anything nice.

This place is wonderful!
I had a silver frame and silver gift box engraved for a Christening gift (very last minute) and they did a beautiful job! The owner was also lovely and came in an hour early to open the store on a Friday morning so I could pick up my gift.
The customer service was fantastic. Dropped it off on a Wednesday, got an email on Thursday saying it was finished, and pick up Friday AM. Couldn’t have been more delighted with my experience.

i don’t know what to say about this place except that you should only go here if you want your items to be engraved wrong, get yelled at by the horrible woman working the front desk, and have yourself forcibly locked in the store when you try to take your damaged good elsewhere. i left this place sobbing i was so horrified by how i was treated. they had one week to engrave something very simple for me, then did it late. then they called to tell me they made an error on it, and what i had engraved was rare and hard to find. i personally had to track down a replacement item AND pay for their mistake. when i argued with the woman at the front desk about all of the problems, she literally grabbed my item out of my hands and threatened to smash it on the floor/​keep it. i managed to wrangle it out of her hands. then she said she was locking me into the store until i gave it back, and then i threatened to call the police. they refused to refund my money for the horrible engraving, and offered a discount for the next service. seriously? needless to say i would never EVER go back there and would tell anyone else who plans to go there to fear for your physical and mental well-​being.
worst customer service and staff, and i honestly don’t know how a place like this can be open and stay in business.

I came here with an unusual last-​minute request to engrave a Louisville Slugger. I wish I had come here first; they were able to do the job quickly, for a fair price, and were very friendly and helpful. Wish I’d come here first!
