Anderson Bed and Breakfast is located 2 blocks south of K-​State and 3 blocks to Aggieville. We pamper our guests with plush bedding, en suite bathrooms, walk-​in closets, vaulted ceilings, high-​speed wi-​fi, and HD flat screen TVs in our three guest rooms. Breakfast is generous and delicious. Chef Phil Anderson specializes in Quiche Lorraine, Dutch Pancakes, Firehouse Frittata and the homemade blueberry muffins that won his wife’s heart and stomach 20 years ago.

We tend to cater to a university clientele: alumni, parents, guest speakers, entertainers, visiting faculty, and interviewees. Enjoy socializing with colleagues, friends and family on the large front porch or screened side porch overlooking the tree-​lined, brick avenue in this older university neighborhood. The acoustics in the music room are great and the grand piano is in top condition for those who are musically inclined.

We are located in a 1910 Arts and Crafts-​style limestone house that was fully renovated into a modern bed and breakfast in 2013.

History

Established in 2013.

Innkeepers, Dawn and Phil Anderson, have lived in Manhattan. Kansas for over 30 years. Phil is retired from Kansas State University where he taught public speaking, managed the Nichols Theatre and was the first director of the honor and integrity system. Dawn is the assistant director, research and special projects, K-​State Institute for Academic Alliances.

Business Owner

Dawn and Phil have always enjoyed staying at bed and breakfasts on their travels. The opportunity to renovate the 1910 house into a bed and breakfast was a dream come true. It took 12 months to complete a total renovation with the help of dozens of local businesses.

Phil enjoys cooking, yard work and «honey-​do» projects. Dawn loves to sew, play the piano and read.
