ready to leave my 6 year post in fashion production, i resolved to open myself up to new opportunities and welcome a new calling. one july afternoon, i began to clear my work space of everything i had accumlated since 2005. all unnecessary clutter-​inhibiting items had to go. and so they did, until i could no longer physically move the large box that everything had been tossed in to. feeling refreshed and pleased with my zen-​like space i wished only for fresh flowers to fill the empty glass vase that remained on the far corner of my desk. with very few grab-​and-​go flower options in midtown, i considered ordering a bundle from a cool downtown boutique. dissuaded by the price tag i thought for a moment. if only there was another option, something in between… that a-​ha! moment, the opening of the proverbial doors, certainly came a lot faster than expected, but i knew it wasn’t just a fleeting thought. i texted my sister right away. she responded, «YES! i love that!» i got right to work.

hello!

i’m kelly. proud owner, designer, arranger, card-​writer, deliverer, coffee maker, and playlist creator at 2h flowers. after a 6 year career in fashion production i did some deep soul searching to figure out what i really wanted to be doing. with a lot of varied creative interests, i’m excited to say that this new path is rather perfect for me. when i’m not playing with flowers i can usually be found at a ballet class or djing. perhaps one of my favorite things about nyc is that somehow even the most seemingly unrelated interests can complement each other. i am constantly surrounded by inspiration and i love to let the vibe of the city permeate the things i create. i tend to have a fairly non-​tradtional approach when it comes to flowers and it’s most exciting when people really respond to it. with so many choices out there, i think everyone is looking for something a little more personal and that’s what i’m happy to provide.

I went ahead and created a Unilocal account just to make it known how much I love this shop. They helped me out huge on V-​Day a couple months back and even went beyond what I requested last minute.
The flowers were beautiful, tastefully wrapped with a handwritten note. She loved them and raved about how great the flowers looked even days later.
The price point was reasonable (a rarity in NYC, I learned) and online ordering and a call in to the shop with a question couldn’t have been easier. In a day when good service is all but expected by most, 2H Flowers will exceed your expectations.

Amazing, AMAZING, AMAZING! After having a bad experience with another flower company, I can not believe how happy I am after ordering from 2h Flowers. Kelly really went the extra mile in order for my arrangement to be completed and delivered on time. It was an amazing experience!

Amazing! Ordered flowers for my husband for valentine’s day and they are gorgeous and fresh. I’m also super happy they were able to accommodate a special request at their busiest time.

Super easy to order online! My friend sent me a picture of what I sent him, and it looks exactly like what is pictured on the website. I also used the texting service and Kelly got back to me in a very timely manor. I will be doing all my flower/​plant orders from 2h Flowers from now on.

Grace, and style, under pressure. 2h shines! I am blown away by the outstanding customer service of Kelly and her crew. Truly. She responded first thing in the morning to a message that I sent on Unilocal at 2am the night before. She went above and beyond to make my custom order happen that next day. Kelly did a wonderful job with the green lei to match the SUNY graduation robes. It was delivered to our hotel on time in a cellophane-​lined, handled bag, which made it easy to transport. The card and handwriting were very cute. They made my little sister (originally from California) very happy.

I was desperate for some graduation leis for my Hawaiian roommate and contacted Kelly late on a Thursday. She got back to me within 10 minutes and by 10AM on Friday she was hand delivering my order to my apartment.
Kelly honestly saved my roommate’s graduation and relieved a lot of my stress to give me enough time to celebrate my own graduation.
I have never seen such amazing service.

Kelly did the floral design for our wedding this weekend, and we were so happy to work with her! She is sweet, fun, and laid-​back, and made the whole process really easy. She asked a lot of questions to understand what we were going for, and then brought a lot of her own ideas to deliver on that vision.
I also appreciated Kelly’s pricing system, which distinguished between the cost of each piece and the cost of her services. I was tired of being told by other places that a centerpiece costs $ 300 and was very grateful for the transparency she provided.
In the end, our centerpieces, bouquets, boutonnieres, and our chuppah were all incredibly beautiful, tasteful, and completely in keeping with what we had imagined. Kelly made everything easy, and asked several times what else she could do to help us.
For an additional charge, Kelly will also arrange to pick everything up after your event. We did not take her up on that, but I wish we had. However, she did make sure to leave all the boxes we would need, which was extremely helpful!
All in all, I highly recommend 2h for weddings and other events!

Wonderful service and gorgeous flowers. My SoCal daughter was graduating from Pratt and I wanted a lei for her ceremony which is easy to find in L.A. not so in NYC. Kelly was very responsive and even delivered the lei to my hotel early so that I would have it for the morning ceremony. You can’t go wrong here.

Ordered some flowers for my girlfriend on the Friday before Valentine’s day from 2h Flowers. I received an email from Kelly stating, «we don’t have enough red ranunculus left today to make a full arrangement — options:
1. i could add some red anemones to the mix — i think this would look really pretty
2. i could do red roses in the mason jar
alternatively, we could schedule this for tomorrow when i’ll have more flowers.»
I thought it was incredibly cool to be informed in this personal manner. After I said that I trusted her eye, the bouquet was sent to my girlfriend, and she really loved them.
I saw them in person when I visited her the next evening. They were incredibly beautiful. I can say that I will order from 2h for certain the next time I need flowers and they can deliver.

It was the day before my (dating) anniversary and I didn’t have much to show for myself. I went on a whim and ordered from 2h, as I was looking for something cool and independent with delivery. 2h also has interesting and inventive arrangements — not boring roses.
I had no idea if the online ordering system would work or not, but thankfully it did! My girlfriend got flowers before noon the next day and I looked like a super thoughtful boyfriend.

Everything was perfect. So glad I scoured Unilocal for the right florist. Literally spent hours cuz god knows NYC has lots of everything. I shudder to think what might have happened if I didn’t find Kelly at 2H. Amazing prices for one but what I was drawn to was her simple and elegant compositions. I’m not a flower guy and find bouquets crammed with stuff really off-​putting. Kelly’s style is perfect and love the mason jars. A nice balance of utility and elegance. The best part was dealing with Kelly. Admittedly I was late to get on the «send flowers for bday» process but Kelly made it so so easy — esp. For a dude in Canada. She’s super responsive to emails, friendly and professional. My flowers were delivered just now with the hand written note. They look lovely. My friend is over the moon. Outstanding!

I live in Seattle and Kelly from 2h could not have made it easier for me to order a couple of arrangements for my very stylish friend who just got engaged! (She lives in NYC.) There is something about 2h that just feels little unique and special. They are not your average florist. You can tell that kelly takes great pride in her work. And, the cards that accompany the flowers are simply ADORABLE! The perfect touch. Prices are reasonable, and delivery is free. I’ll definitely be using 2h again. Thank you Kelly!

someone extra special ordered me flowers for my birthday that i was spending in NYC. we came back to the hotel on the night of my birthday to an adorable bag with a one-​of-​a-​kind arrangement! i’m not a roses kind of girl so i LOVED the unique assortment and the masor jar was absolutely the right vessel.

Needed some last minute flowers for a friend in NYC.
Realized at midnight that I needed them for that day.
I sent in an email with an arrangement idea as well delivery information. Since I’m in Los Angeles, the shop wasn’t open when the email was sent.
By the time I woke up, I hadn’t received a phone call or email regarding order. I was a bit thrown off, but figured I was too late. Started calling other florist when my friend calls me crying about how beautiful the flowers she just received were.
Turns out, Kelly, from 2h’s email went to spam. They emailed me to confirm the order and request my cc info. When they didn’t hear back from me, instead of canceling the order, they went the extra mile, created and delivered the arrangement to my friend, without even having payment.
Kelly emailed me and said they wanted to ensure the flowers got out in time, so they went ahead and delivered. Both emails were in spam, so i had no idea.
They made someone’s day spectacular, and got me some much needed brownie points. Amazing management and beautiful flowers.
I likely wont use any other florist in NY again. Rare to find great customer service AND great product.

Californians, take note! This is where you can get your orchid leis for graduation, without getting gouged.
Orchid leis are not a thing in NYC. This was made very apparent when, trying to compensate for my undergrad graduation, I called up several florists on the day of graduation to find an orchid lei. It was a fruitless search, and I was reduced to tears.
Enter 2H Flowers. My sister had the bright idea of calling them, despite not having a physical address, and asking them if they could make a last minute orchid lei for us to pick up. Kelly got back to us in a few hours, and told us, yes, she could make my lei, and that it would cost $ 36. $ 36! This is a ridiculous price, considering other flower shops were charging $ 75 and couldn’t do it on the same day.
I dispatched Josh K. to the East Village to pick up the lei while I was getting ready. In the craziness of preparing for graduation, I had somehow locked myself out of my apartment, hadn’t yet showered, and was due to show up at school in 30 minutes. When Josh K. showed up, lei in hand, everything was instantly better. The lei was beautiful, and full of fresh orchids (unlike some other flower shop I called earlier that day, which offered me a lei with SOME orchids).
To top it all off, I was among three people at graduation who had an orchid lei, and I was complimented several times. Thank you Kelly, for making my graduation special.

Ordering flowers from a small business w/​o a B&M store was definitely a first for me, but with Unilocal’s backing on 2h Flowers, i wasn’t hesitant to try, as the pictures of the arrangements were right up my alley.
I saw a handful of reviews that mentioned going custom, and so I e-​mailed Kelly, asking her how the process worked. She responded very quickly, and i gave her just a few of my preferences (pink (either bright or pastel is fine) mini bouquet (something that sits in a mason jar) for around $ 40 delivered… a bouquet along the complexity of the «nolita»). she came up with a picture of an arrangement within an hour, and it looked perfect!
She gave me the total with hand delivery, sent me a custom url that sent me back to the website, and i completed the checkout process. fast forward to the day of delivery (two days later), it reached the 1030am expected delivery mark, and there was no response from the recipient. i texted kelly (all the contact info is available on the site) to check on the status, and she told me that they were on the way, and sent another text when they were delivered (around 11am). granted that i forgot to add instructions to have her call the recipient instead of drop it off with security, i told the recipient to go down and check at the front desk, and there they were! it looked just like the picture she sent me, and definitely brought a smile.
