Downstairs is open to the public; bartender is super sweet, great service always. Nice selection of wines, good HH, wedge salad is on point!

I used to come here with friends and always loved it and was asked to become a member and jumped in. Cool vibe, great staff and no bill!!! Till the end of the month, then you go… WHAT??? No, actually very good prices and great food. The fried chicken I dream about. Huge menu of small bites and big nice pours. Music sometimes and sports always. Just the way a club should be. A delightful spot!

It is a member so only spot, but if you get the chance to go– DOIT. Become a member– SOOO incredibly worth it. The owner is the most charismatic, understanding, funny, good hearted man. His family is the same. The place is a family spot until 8pm. Great food, games for kids, beautiful view of the ocean and the waitstaff handles children like babysitters– awesome. The food-favorites: meatballs, steak chunks, fried chicken, Cobb salad, filet, carnitas nachos, halibut, cheese board. The ambiance: if it’s football season, expect the games on pretty loud and shots all around when the favorite team wins. Week nights: beautiful fireplace with candles, white table cloths, televisions on low, great music, windows open with a breeze and a view of the ocean. Staff: fun, friendly, attentive, local, they have worked there forever so they know how to take care of their regulars. Overall I give it a 5 because it is like a country club that is in a great location, family friendly and awesome food. Keep it up.

I joined this club about 2 years ago and love it. The crowd is always very cool and friendly. Now that I’m an(ahem) older woman, I’m over the bar scene but still want to have a fun night out with friends. The 900 club is perfect for this! The crowd is mature and interesting. The drinks are fabulous and the service is always amazing. I’m not a huge fan of their food menu, but it’s okay. The place is on the 2nd floor of what i think used to be a church. The stained glass windows are still in and so pretty. The ocean views are beautiful and it’s nice to enjoy a cocktail while watching the sun set. Kids can come here but should be gone by 8ish. It’s family friendly but really more of an adult place. There is a pool table and some kind of video game and a cozy fireplace. $$ doesn’t exchange hands here. Expect a bill once a month. Every january there is a renewal charge as well. I’m so glad i joined this club! Have had lots of great times!

Been here a few times, my cousin was a member. Great atmosphere. The place has a real rustic feel to it, fireplace, taxidermy on the walls, a pool table, kind of like a ski chalet or a cabin. Private parking lot in the back. 2 stories, allows for some privacy, with a few hidden places within the building. I like the fact that it was available 24⁄7! Food is amazing, not sure if the kitchen is always open, bartenders are banging hot. Everyone who is a member here has some dough. My cousin told me the reason its called the 900 club is because that’s what your credit score has to be to become a member… I am sure that is not true! But maybe. I know that you don’t pay for anything when you go, my cousin said he gets a bill every month on his CC.

I have friends that are members. Ive been there half a dozen times and have regretted going every time. The bar tenders ignore you and are pretty rude if you’re not a member. There are a lot of very snobby people. But, on occasion, there are some interesting, nice folk. Normally the band members. Two stars for cool band folk that are down to earth.

haha, i was able to get into the private club(invited by a friend). and i came to make fun, but… the 900 club isn’t that bad. the second floor is actually less pretentious than the first. enter thought the side door below by turning left after the bue velvet door. there’s also a rear/side entrance towards the back of the building that is level with the street. being on the second floor makes the 900 seem more remote/exclusive. a ski lodge look and feel, great views out the west windows, multiple hdtvs(though music on during nhl playoffs and a dodger game. hoping for something like a lakers game, they turn on game sound), and no dbags(plenty of rich folk though). the food was very good. no cash, all on accounts since it’s member based. all medium wood interior(wood, floor, walls, ceiling) with plenty of eating tables and comfy chairs/couches. a pool tables and video game cubby the kids love. beautiful stained glass windows on both sides of a classic wood bar with wooden overhang/upside down glasses. bartenders were very attentive and accommodating. very relaxed atmosphere, but as you can guess, there’s some money in the bar. given the location(MB), no reason to think there wouldn’t be. definitely an 35 – 50 year old crowd, not many 20 somethings looking to hook up. overall, way better than i expected.

Great place to watch games on the weekend and no knucklehead factor, everyone there is friendly and if you are not member like I was(have a buddy who is) they were happy to have you. The members all have real jobs and actually are low key about it. Good food great service. It’s nice hanging out at a spot where you can shoot pool and chill in town.

We just walked right up the stairs and sat right down at the bar, as we did not even know that it was a private club. After a moment a girl bartender came up and suddenly told us that this was a private club. Oh, we are sorry, but can we order a drink anyway, and consider membership? Nope. Sorry, but we had to go. At least we had a moment to look around and check out the place. It is woodsy and spacious, to the point of being a little cold. It looks like an old winery or something, but nothing of real interest. Just a bunch of old, fat, balding guys, moms with kids,(probably their wives) and cigar smokers everywhere. The smoke and the kids running around like indians would have gotten on our nerves anyway, so we did not mind leaving. They treated us like they have enough members already and were not interested in new ones, and given this motley crue, who cares anyway?

If you can get in with a member, get the garlic fries. They were great. The calamari was also light and crisp. Because of its exclusivity, everyone seems to know each other. A crowd of 30 and 40-somethings looking to relax and have a good time.

Come here sometimes with a friend who is a member. For some reason it’s always super crowded when we come(Friday or Saturdays). The place is tiny so super crowded is really crowded. While for the most part everyone is really friendly, to me it seems like a place for the 40+ crowd to go and get really drunk in a place where it’s only them. The food is good. The bartenders are really friendly. They do let ‘outsiders’ open a credit card tab as I’ve done in the past when I feel guilty that my friend is paying for everything. And for a private club the prices are not inexpensive or pricey, just typical South Bay prices. On those super crowded evenings the bathroom line sucks since it’s 1 for the gals and 2 for the guys. There is a pool table, lounge chairs, video games, big screen TVs. The ambiance reminds me of a ski lodge with the really high ceilings, floor to ceiling windows, and wood everywhere. Overall more roomy than Side Door downstairs. Can be fun.

Gal pal is a member, so Friday night, after happy hour at Sashi in the Metlox plaza, we walk over here. So I am basing my review on just one visit, but I think that was enough to get the gist of the place. +1 Star /— 1 Star — Private club. That’s usually a bad thing, but in the S Bay some places can get super overcrowded, full of doosh-y dudes with fake-n-bake tans and Ed Hardy too tight T’s, so some privacy is nice. In theory. But in practice, another thing, as the crowd was not very attractive and there were kids — like, little kids, like… 8 of them… running amok(as in, crawling ONTOPOF the pool table… for an hour). Ugh. + 1 Star — Servers. The bartenders were lovely, very courteous, and quick. I just don’t feel like I fit in here — it was a bit like being at a big snow lodge(it even looks like one, with the wood paneling and such), with the fat dudes with baseball caps and logo-d interlocken shirts, the 40-something moms chasing their brats around, etc. It wasn’t horrible, but I would rather just pay my bill somewhere day by day and have a little more hip vibe.
