The new owner added on about a dozen suppliers with a large variety of brands and products. Ribbon Rite made its first inpact when it was able to help a State of California EDD office which was having a lot of problems with bad product the state had received on a contract. It went on to expand its sales to many more offices. Ribbon Rite is a certified small business with the State of California.
Meet the Business Owner
Bill Lopez F.
Business Owner
Born in CA, graduated as engineer from UCLA. Designed data communications equipment for 25 years at companies such as NCR, Xerox and Amdahl in the Los Angeles area. When my last company moved out of stare, I Helped a fellow engineer who had designed printers, start up a company to manufacture his own line of printer ribbons. The friend started out selling wholesale product and then tried to start up a retail line as well. When the friend found he was having trouble with the retail operation, I took over what was just getting going. Selling imaging supplies is more difficult than designing electronics but it’s a challenge I continue to work on to convince customers of the quality of my products.
