This review is years overdue. Simply put, Gabrielle is the most knowledgeable, competent, hardworking, resourceful and empathetic agent in the South Bay. I met Gabby over 15 years ago when she volunteered for free to write an important letter to a lender describing the structure of our homeowners’ association. I remembered her when it was time to purchase a home in a different area of Redondo Beach. She found us the perfect home with no-​pressure marketing and encouraged us to put our home on the market for an immediate open house that I did not believe we were ready for. She had the place ready in a week, using her contacts with painters, a handyman, and carpet people, and we received a full price offer after only two open houses. She also sold our buyers’ home in a multifaceted complex transaction. She simultaneously completed the deal on our new house, dealing with many challenges.
Following a divorce many years later, I needed to get a ballpark idea of what my rental condo was worth. After walking through the place, she sent me an unsolicited, beautiful informative comparative analysis of other properties in the area and ended up valuing the property at exactly what it sold for. While working with my landlord’s realtor who sold the condo, I realized more than ever what an amazing, competent professional Gabrielle is. I promise you will not go wrong with Gabrielle. She will get it done, she will not pressure you, and you will feel respected throughout the process. As soon as I am in a position again to buy in the South Bay, I will be calling her, without hesitation.

I’m not sure what more I can say beyond what others have written here on Unilocal about Gabrielle. She deserves more than 5 stars in my opinion. She went out of her way to help us sell two rental homes in the South Bay this year, including working with the tenants and property manager. AND, she got us top dollar, quick sales and minimal stress! These weren’t simple sales by any means, but she made them simple for us! I can’t thank her enough for her help and professionalism.

There is a reason why Gabby Harendeen is a top real estate associate in the South Bay. My wife and I had to move out of California 5 years ago with short notice and Gabby found a buyer in an amazingly short time. Now, we’re returning to the South Bay to find a condo near the beach and again, Gabby’s assistance and guidance were outstanding throughout the process of looking for our new condo, finding the right one and strategizing our way to getting exactly what we were looking for. We completely trust Gabby, followed her guidance, and worked swiftly together to submit a winning offer in a hot real estate market and complete a 15-​day escrow. We are delighted to take possession of this great condo by the beach. Gabby is the greatest.

My husband and I moved to the South Bay 7 years ago. We weren’t sure how long we would be here, so we were looking for a condo to rent. After narrowing down the area I wished to live, I started making appointments and visiting Open Houses. I was extremely picky about what I was looking for and wasn’t having much luck finding it. I met Gabby at an Open House. She was extremely knowledgeable about the area and actually showed me a couple condos that didn’t quite work for me, but now she had a better idea of what I was looking for!
A week or so later I saw her again at another Open House. She instantly remembered me and my requirements for a place. She told me the condo next door just went up for rent and she thought it would be perfect for us. She had access to the lock box and let me in. As soon as I saw it I knew this was the condo I wanted to live in. I told her I wanted to rent it and she told me she couldn’t help me as I had to go through the property management company listing it. She wasn’t entitled to any commission on the rental and she STILL showed it to me knowing it was perfect for us!
So, naturally, after 5 years of living in my beautiful condo and it went up for sale, we definitely wanted to purchase it! I wouldn’t think of using any other Realtor but Gabby, and she actually was the listing agent. The process was quick, and seamless with Gabby handling everything. We couldn’t have been happier with her service in all areas of the transaction. I highly recommend her as a Realtor!

I got lucky when I found Gabrielle through Unilocal.I was looking to sell my Harbor City condo just two years after purchase and worried that I’d lose money. I’d had such a bad real estate experience with the purchase that I was dreading looking for a new Realtor.
But, Gabrielle exceeded my expectations! She eats; sleeps and breathes real estate. She’s excellent at keeping a client informed and is very responsive; sometimes getting back to me within minutes of leaving a message. She really knows the South Bay market and has access to great vendors. The photos taken of my humble condo were fantastic. We had offers the same day and sold for top dollar!

One could and would easily give their agent 5 stars simply based on a combination of the emotions felt when finally buying (or selling) your real estate. It’s the American dream, and achieving that goal is euphoric. I’m not giving Gabby 5 stars because of the euphoria experience of finally purchasing my first home. I’m giving Gabby 5 stars because even when she had no reason to assist she still did. I was in the oddest purchase scenario with wishy-​washy sellers, a sellers agent who didn’t explain anything to her sellers, and a buyer’s agent who (in my opinion) bit off more than he can chew. Distraught because of dealing with incompetence I reached out to Gabby. She took the time to listen and explain what was legally allowed, we were already in escrow but the seller wanted to cancel. There was absolutely nothing in it for her. Obviously that scenario ended up not working out, but I held on to her info because I was moved at the generosity of her time.
Year or so passed. Rates got awesome. So I decided to check out some open houses without representation so I contacted Gabby. Years had passed but she recalled my bizarre story. I told her of my interest to see the open houses and asked if she’d represent me, which she did.
She gave the experience I was hoping to receive as a first time buyer. It was like I was on property virgins on HGTV. She guided every step and put on those kid gloves. With rates as low as they are/​were I knew she probably had a ton more customers yet I always felt that personal attention. Every step of the way Gabby was there to shine the light and clarify and protect my interests. I always heard that buying a home is the most stressful thing you’ll ever do. Ignoring that first experience I’d say that this wasn’t stressful at all. Quite easy actually. If I was superstitious I’d assume the stars aligned properly and everything fell into place. I’m not superstitious, and believe that this was not stressing because we had the right agent in place. She’s the best! And I wouldn’t ever think to go elsewhere for my future real estate needs. This is my electronic «screaming from the rooftops».

Gabby is definitely the person to go to, especially if you are new to the beach area. We contacted her after reading so many other great reviews about her. It was one of the best decisions my husband and I made. It is hard to believe but we first contacted her two years ago about our house. Yes, two years!!! We gradually engaged more seriously about the sale in 2012 and we decided to proceed with short sale option. The process dragged on for almost a year, and Gabby was always on our side to help with every issues… She literally saved us thousands of $$‘s since we didn’t need to hire a real estate lawyer.
She tirelessly contacted banks/​lenders herself on our behalf!!! Eventually we signed our final papers and we were able to move out on the exact date we planned.
The whole process with short sale was painfully long (it was our very first house sale and short sale). Gabby stood by us and never disappointed us.
You will know how workaholic ;-) she is, the minute you send her an email. She is always prompt and shows genuine interest in your case. If there’s a question, she will search out for the right answer.
She truly deserves 5-stars…I wish I can give 6, if I could… She is the best in her field, and you will not regret. You will soon feel like how I felt about her… one of the nicest people you would ever want to meet.

Although, not a Realtor, I have been in the real estate industry for over 20 years. From time to time, I work both with Gabrielle and her clients. 2012 UPDATE:
«Go Gabby!!» That’s the first thing that came to mind when we found ourselves needing to find another place. We immediately contacted her with our criteria, and as always, she was very responsive. Once again, she provided unmatched service. The thing that impressed us the most this time was that the level of service she provided did not change even though: 1) we were looking in Orange County, and 2) the price of the house was much lower than the average South Bay house. As an example, when we found a complex that we really liked where nothing was available, she offered to conduct a letter writing campaign to determine if any of the current residents were planning to move any time soon. Who does that!!!
But the biggest thing she did for us was to get us the house we wanted for 20% BELOW the asking price! It was a short sale so it was a battle that lasted about four months, but Gabby was resilient and was in constant contact with the sellers agent and providing us blow-​by-​blow updates. We are so grateful to Gabby for going way above and beyond!

Gabby isn’t just a realtor, she’s a friend. And as such, she continues to provide the great advice long after she helps you find the perfect house.
We first ran into her at an open house in 2004 and her laid back, helpful approach let us know that she was not your typical agent. She is just, well, AWESOME! She is very personable and friendly, yet very professional at the same time. She is honest, trustworthy, bright, and always happy. She was well informed about every house she showed us, as well as the surrounding area. I can’t remember how many houses she showed us, but there were a lot. When we finally found THE house, she helped us win the bidding war against four other offerers. GO GABBY!
After she helped us get into our house, she stopped by several times just to see how we were doing, in addition to follow up calls and emails. She is a master of communication. She always knows when to contact you with the right amount of information. Because of this, whenever I had questions about anything pertaining to our house, I felt very comfortable going to Gabby for recommendations, including a roofer, a garage door guy, and multiple refis. I’ve had great success with her referrals, and I will continue to use her in the future. She continues to be very responsive and helpful.

You can’t go wrong with Gabby. We’ve known her for years and she’s always sooo helpful. We rented a place from her way back when and she’s been our friend and realtor ever since. When we were ready to buy, she showed us house after house after house until we found the perfect one. And lucky her, we picked a house in short sale (the first one in the South Bay back in 2006). It was a nightmare ordeal, but Gabby made it the best it could possibly be with daily check-​ups and consoling me on the phone when I thought we were going to lose it. Gabby is patient, sweet and good at her job. I know she’s won several awards but she’s even better than that. She’s definitely our realtor of life!

It’s kind of hard to «Yelp» a person… I mean, its not like Gabby is a tasty snack or has a fantastic ocean breeze when you walk by… but if you think of Gabby as an Application called «Real Estate Consultant «(like you’re pretending your life is a giant iPhone) then its a little easier to put an honest rating down.
We all know that in a real estate market as volatile as the one we are experiencing now, it’s good to have someone that you can trust– someone that honestly is looking our for your best interests. I found that Gabby’s tenacity at finding the potential houses that met my minimum requirements while striving to get me the best deal was extremely pleasing. I felt that she honestly was looking out for me and not just trying to get the deal over with. In my particular case, I had an extremely long list of requirements. Driveway must be low enough to clear my race car, must have garage space, must face a particular direction, layout must be «Feng Shui» friendly, etc, etc. Gabby spent the time to pre-​screen the listings before telling me which ones would be worth going to. That saved time and energy for the both of us, and I really liked that.

Her «Gift of Gab» mailings give you a heads up of what’s going on around town and helpful hints for around the house. Gabby keeps you on track when you’re scheduled for viewings, and she knows all the best places in the South Bay for homes to live in, because we all know that it’s «Location Location Location.»
Since I was a first time home buyer, when it came down to finalizing the purchase, Gabby spent the time to go over all the paperwork and explaining to me what everything meant. It was like Gabby-​pedia. She knew the answers to all my questions, and I asked difficult questions. You only become like that with years of experience and know-​how.
Most of you might think a 5 star rating might seem as if i was non-​critical and too lazy to write explanations for a 4 or different star rating, but I really can’t. The Five stars that I’m giving Gabby isn’t extreme, but my honest option of «Woohoo! as good as it gets!»
I’ve had experiences with other agents prior to Gabby so its not like she was my first and only agent I’ve dealt with– but I wish she was the first one because all my troubles with the past agent was simply wasted energy.
