History

Established in 2012.

Barsha is a boutique shop that delivers artisanal wine, spirits, beers, and fine international products supporting small producers that focus on high quality and good value. In addition to our extensive wine and spirits collection, our tasting room offers tastings of unique wines along with a farmers market driven menu that highlights Californian cuisine with a touch of Tunisia.

Adnen And Lenora M.

Business Owner

The creation of Barsha was inspired by husband and wife Adnen & Lenora Marouani. The story begins in Las Vegas where they met. Their passion for food led them to Caesars Palace where Chef Lenora honed her skills at 2 Michelin star restaurant Guy Savoy & Chef Adnen ran the main kitchen for the hotel. Their paths crossed when spinach came into the mix, & the rest is history! (When you see us, ask about the spinach story!)

Wanting to expand their experience & knowledge led them to Europe and Tunisia, North Africa (where Adnen is originally from). There they staged in various restaurants and took their knowledge of food and wine to another level. When returning to the states, the enthusiastic Adnen Marouani developed his wine skills in various restaurants in Los Angeles as a sommelier, while Chef Lenora worked as the executive chef of Crescent Hotel in Beverly Hills. After owning two restaurants in the past (Amori Trattoria and La Maschera) Adnen knew it was time to start a new adventure.

I just went to this hidden gem and had a wonderful time! Great selection of wines and very well priced. the setting is quaint and the service is great. We 3 of their charcuterie items and they were delicious! I also saw other food items people around us ordered such as their kale salad and edamame and they looked great as well. They offer wine by the taste, half glass, and glass so you can create your own wine tasting, which is reasonably priced or try their «date night» flight for $ 12 (a steal). They also offer beer flights and have a nice selection of craft beers on tap.

Came here on a Friday after work with 3 coworkers. This place is adorable and full of quality. We got the cheese, dip, and charcuterie assortments (5 option, not the 3 option versions). We also did the wine flights. Everything was delicious and service was on point the entire time we were there. I will admit the food portions weren’t large, but they are also not meant to be. We had a lovely time and we are planning on making this a regular after-​work-​drinks location!

So happy to have this in our neighborhood, either to pop in for a huge selection of wines or spirits or to stay and taste/​dine with friends. Comfortable and hospitable and a place to learn about new things I might like. Don’t forget the spirits! The owners know about unusual whiskeys, vodkas etc. and will take the time to share their knowledge.

Love this place. My friends took us here, and everything from the charcuterie to the cheeses to the wine was great, all with friendly service. They are definitely knowledgable about their wines here, and I like that they have glass and flight selections of some very unique and delicious wines!

I’ve been here when they first opened and I just went back recently… I don’t know why I waited so long to come back!
It’s the type of cozy atmosphere that’s slightly trendy but laid back. Huge selection of great wine! Flights for beers and wine, nibbles and amazing cheeses. I came here on a Sunday afternoon and curled up on the couches to grab a drink while reading a book. It made my day.
tip: dips for bread are amazing! the homemade fig and pesto were my favorite.

It was a stroke of luck that we found this boutique, we were staying nearby, and what a find. The jewel of a girl that helped us was Stephanie and she was awesome. My girl loves Rose’ so we scored on that one, many to choose from. We did not have time to stay for the true experience but we will be back. Great selection of cheese we were able to see and took one with us. Will update review on the next visit because we are going to stay awhile, see you then.

The best wine and Spirits place in Manhattan Beach. You can find all kind of rare cognac and whiskey here, as well as great selection of hard to fine wines. It’s also the only place that has an ample supply of my favorite local drink, Manhattan Beach Margarita, that seems to runs out at other stores in town. (should definitely try). The owner is very friendly, and the wine bar is a great place to see friends for a quick taste and drink — and you can go to the next door to have a real Mexican meal, too!

Cute place. Kinda pricey but local. You can get a flight of 4 wines for $ 12 or choose a half glass or full glass pour. Staff is very nice. Beers on tap too and light charcuterie type apps.

Can I just say– LOVE THIS PLACE! The owner Adnen and his wife are the most lovely people. Adnen makes you feel at home and always makes me laugh! I never know what I want to drink– I just want wine! He makes it easy– He brings me wine! I don’t even have to choose. If I am hungry– He they put together a little meat and cheese plate– I mean seriously– What’s not to love? You can cozy up on the couch or a comfy chair– or at a table. It works for a group of people or a few.
There are a few great wine bars in the South Bay– This is one of them– Go get your Wine on!

This place is a gem in the south bay, an area grossly underserved historically.
Food: Wine bar staples like cheese and charcuterie have been carefully curated. Bruchetta and salads were great (I’m partial to the kale salad with Tunisian chickpea).
Beverage: Carefully selected wines throughout the shop and the pricing is better than most. Solid beer selection, and a few spirits also available on the shelf.
Here’s hoping the area supports the place. Top quality can be lost on areas so affluent.

This is a great place to meet friends and try new wines… The food is good and they always seem to have new finds. The owner and his wife are really terrific!

I love this place! My friend threw her bday party here and it was wonderful. It’s in a sleepy strip mall. And it almost appeared closed but they actually have a seating area. We were the only party at this spot. We were about 15 people.
Wines aren’t cheap… But they serve beer as well. They did have wonderful cheese and meat plates. I love their kale salad as well. Good service. Two ladies took care of us.
I may be a little biased since I love wine bars.
Oh best part… They have parking in their strip mall.

This place has a fantastic selection of unique wines. Stopped in and picked up a couple plus some charcuterie. They also have mustards, preserves and more.
Haven’t enjoyed the wine bar yet but I’ll bet it’s as good as everything else there.
The only thing is the location is weird. You have to be driving south in Manhattan beach otherwise it’s tricky to get in to but if that’s my only qualm, I’ll deal with it.

Intimate wine bar with excellent wine list and delicious, hand-​made tapas. Excellent, personalized service. You feel like a regular as soon as you walk in. Charcuterie plate to write home about. Must-​have the Jeni’s ice cream (chocolate rum flavor was our favorite pick.). Highly recommended!

Barsha is the greatest place in the South Bay to come in and have a little appetizer and a flight of wine or just buy a bottle and pick up some of the rare and exceptional cheeses or charcuterie or even some chocolates to take home.

This is probably the cutest wine bar in South Bay. Unfortunately, what keeps them cute is that so few people can actually get in. But with their irresistible wine flights of mini carafes on wooden servers and classy high wooden tables, be prepared to fight me for a seat.
Afraid to drink on an empty stomach? No worries, the charcuterie and cheese plates won’t make a meal but they’ll fill you up just enough to cushion the wine and fuel you up to run to the nearest restaurant. The proscuitto and brasaola are some of Italy’s best, and even the rosemary ham is exceptional. The cheeses are mind-​blowing, and though I haven’t tried the platter of spreads, they look absolutely intriguing.
I’ve only been to Barsha once, but I already consider myself a regular. After all, their wine flight changes every week.

I have been back to Barsha at least a dozen times since my first review, and I’ve got to say, I love it! The owners are so friendly and helpful. A couple months back I went to Barsha to pick out a bottle of scotch for my husbands birthday. I literally know nothing about scotch but Adnen helped me pick out a great bottle. He even brought some special bottles out from the back that he had only been able to get 1 or 2 of.
Barsha always seems to have something fun going on: art shows, special tastings, food truck Wednesdays and of course their anniversary party (which was amazing!). I find myself stopping by at least a couple times a month!
Check out their wine club, it’s a great deal! The classico wine club is only $ 30 a month, you get 2 bottles of wine every month and 20% your bill in the tasting room 7 5% off all retail purchase. It practically pays for itself!
