Refresh Nail n Spa

I just drove by this nail salon and reminded me that I have to update this review! The Gel I did lasted for a week! This place is a joke, take your money to somewhere else.

I’ve been to this salon 3 – 4 times and the first two times I had a great experience, the owner did my gel mani and it lasted 2 weeks, and looked great. However, last week I came in, and brought a friend with me since I liked the service so much. Only to be disappointed. The mani was uneven at the bottom of my nails, there were part of nail polish already peeling off as I was leaving the salon and when I pointed it out twice, she did not understand me. I called back 3 days after and spoke to the owner as my nails were actually peeling and staring to come off. She said to come in and so she fixed TWO of my nails, when basically all of them were messed up. Then she said if you come back later today or tomorrow I can redo it for $ 20 more dollars… She wanted me to make another extra trip and pay extra because THEY messed up in the first place? Did not actually compensate me. Me and my friends will not be going back.

Came here for the first time yesterday. The owner and girls in the front greeted me warmly. I am very particular on how I like my nails to be done and my nail technician was very thorough and listened to exactly what I wanted and was very patient. This is a very clean and relaxing spa and I will be returning for my regular mani and pedis.

So funny how more than half of the reviews here are from the establishment’s friends and family!
I can’t say it was the worst experience ever but my gel manicures that are done at other places usually last a solid three weeks… however, by the end of one week, it was already looking shoddy. Pedicure was basic; nothing to add here.
I also do not appreciate being constantly asked to upgrade my services and spend more money; I am here to relax, not be pressured. No thank you after leaving a sizable tip either.

I’m actually laughing at these Unilocal reviews. Half of the reviews are from their workers/​family. Had the WORST experience I couldn’t wait to get out of there. Sally did my nails and did a horrible job and kept giving me dirty looks. She didn’t file my nails and when I asked her to cut them she rolled her eyes at me. Second of all she didn’t want to cut my cuticles and when I asked she literally grabbed my skin off on purpose. My nails are full of bubbles from their old nail polish. Never will I return. Ps. The owner is so snobby. Zero STARS

I got eyelashes extension here by Christina. Even though I have sensitive & small eyes, it came out very natural just as i asked for and very pretty

Very bad experience with my gel manicure. The girl Christina (I think that was her name), she had a attitude on when I pointed out to her that she missed few areas. She blamed it was the shapes of my nails that she couldn’t get to all the areas. LOL this is not the first time I did gel and she is definitely the first person ever said that to me. She intended to fix by applying a coat on the areas but without polish over with a top coat. My nails looks messy now. Never AGAIN. couldn’t wait to get out of there, so uncomfortable.

Heard a lot of great things about this salon and decided to go in to get my eyebrows done. Sally did an amazing job in shaping my unruly eyebrows. They look so clean now. I feel so refreshed. Will be back for sure to maintain my eyebrows.

I had a horrible experience there and takes a lot for me to get mad and/​or complain… if u go there go to Christina… I went there twice. the first time I got eye lash silk extensions and gel manicure… Christina did an awesome job on my manicure… Jessica did an awesome job on my eyelash extensions but my left eye hurt when she did it… not sure if it was the glue or her chopping the lashes… it just felt like burning… the second time I went to Elli… don’t go to her… she gave me a deal on manicure extensions 70 instead of 90 which was great BUT she hurt me Many times… the electronic filer to shape the nails… she burned me 2 or 3 times… she new it too. .cuz I said ow… and she apologized and still did it over and over again… she’s the type of person who has a bad day and makes others have a bad day because of it. and she rushed me… because initially I picked a color for my pedicure and changed it, she had an attitude about that like she had a problem with that… I was going to spend so much more too… a gel pedicure and a gift certificate for my mom… but I didn’t …just paid and left… hopefully she changes her ways… Refresh lost me as a customer and a lot of money and good referrals… she knew she screwed up because she gave me a lotion… a little too late… I don’t like confrontations either… but she must be used to it… she wouldn’t drop the whole deal… it could be just ended right there but she made it seem like I over reacted and in her words «sensitive»

Just walked in for a basic manicure — no appointment, just found them on google and wanted my nails done while running errands. They took me without a problem — great price and honestly, my nails look great! I can’t do gels for work, but I’m perfectionist about the polish looking smooth, and neat around the nail edges (I work at a hospital so need neat nails, and to add to the pressure, all the ladies — nurses AND patients! — are always very done up!).
The place is clean and relaxing. My lady worked fast and still did a great job. No regrets!

Very clean & staff was very friendly & attentive to your needs. They sterilize all there equipment in a hospital grade autoclave & each client gets there on file. This was my first time using this nail salon, & I will definitely be returning.

Great nail shop. I bought a groupon for this place a few months back and never got around to using it and decided to when I was headed out to riverhead. You have to make an appointment! The groupon I bought was only 5 $ for a mani/​pedi!!! The place is really nice and clean and the staff is really friendly. They use liners for the foot spa and they also use new nail tools each time. A lot of nail spas reuse the same tools so I always bring my own but I didn’t have to this time. My nail tech did a great job on my toes and was the same person who did my nails. Really one of the best manicures I’ve had in awhile. My manicure is still in tact after 2 weeks and it wasn’t even gel. Definitely would recommend going here. I’m not sure of their regular prices, based on their service I’m sure it’s more than usual but definitely worth it and they are always having specials on groupon !

I just recently visited refresh spa and had the most relaxing and best spa pedicure and gel manicure. The variety of gel colors were the most largest compared to any salon ive been on the island. I can go here and expect the best and quickest service. I recommend this nail salon highly to anyone! I cant wait to get my eyelash extensions next week either!

I got my gel manicure done here and it lasted for over 2 weeks without any scratch.
I also got waxing done and it was quick and very clean.

2^nd time here this time I got pedi and eyelash! thought I would give it a try because nowhere else does it around here and I love it!!! so far has been 2 days and not a single lash fell off. received many compliments! they get booked with eyelashes so you should always call before.

I happened to be in the area so I just dropped by but I had one of the best pampering I could ask for! The mani and pedi was PERFECT! I have a little OCD on it, but they were so patient with me. The massage was on point. They really are up to date with the colors on the Essie polish. I’m coming back and I definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone!

I came here with 2 of my friends last night and they were so friendly. The inside is very cozy and everything is brand new and sanitized. The lady I had «forgot her name» did such a great job! I got a pedi with callus remover i can say this is the best nail salon in the neighborhood

I decided to give up my groupon voucher. Where should I start! I asked for the removal of callus for my foot and shellac mani. The lady asked a guy to do my foot and he aint have no idea what he is doing. No soaking bf he started removing my callus manually. Awwww It HURT!!! and he literally said he is sorry because he does not know how to remove. I was SO scared and told him that I wont do my pedi. Ok. lets just do mani and leave… I went upstairs waiting for mani and the owner (?) screamed to other employees and made me really uncomfortable. I looked at how the other employees are doing the mani. INEXPERIENCED AGAIN! Realizing that not every korean is good at this. I told them I will come back next time and ran away. Scared. I lost my money on groupon with no regret.

There are multiple nail places in Manhasset and having grown up here I’ve tried them all. Newly opened Refresh is far and away the best. The staff is super attentive, take their time with you, and do a wonderful job. I’ll absolutely be back.

Came with a groupon by chance on a snowy day. This little house next to the BP on Plandome and northern blvd is easy to miss but so worth turning back to park right in front.
Downstairs fully complete menus for pedicures and massages and upstairs manicures.
They use hospital grade autoclave sterilizer and disposable files. In their attention to hygiene they are spot on.
Rose petals fill the soaking bowl, wide selection of Essie and Opi polishes and gels.
Awesome special packages that make pampering myself affordable.
I was with Eunice who is so professional and gracious and Jessica who is a licensed aesthetician and has a cheerful approach.
Overall really great affordable place to get it all.

Went here for the first time with a group on deal. Best nail salon in the area. Found my go to spot!!! :)

The owners are highly experienced, the entire store went through renovation and looks amazing. Everything is one time use, disposal items and it’s cry clean! Completely renewed and service is great! Must try!

Cleanest Nail Salon in Manhasset and Port Washington!
