Happy KiDDS Pediatric Dentistry

Dr. Mindy Homer is a great Dentist! After being frightened by Pearly Whites dentist at Bay ridge, coming here was a godsend. She gave my child and I her whole undivided attention and explained everything in detail. She was patient, friendly. Her recommendations made sense. My child liked her immediately and was not frightened. She is definitely a true Pediatric Dentist professional. I am fortunate to have an out of the network insurance as well. I highly recommend her!

We’ve been seeing Dr. Mindy for a few years now. There have been lots of interventions — sealants for my daughter (age 5), fillings for my son (age 8) — and my kids still walk in the door with no anxiety. Dr. Mindy is always bright and cheerful, she has a kind of hyper-​chatty, silly, sweet bedside manner that overtakes the room so kids don’t really have a chance to get nervous or scared. I also like the way she talks to me as a parent, explaining why certain procedures are necessary and what the costs will be. She is not cheap. It is somewhat helpful that while she doesn’t take insurance, her office will submit the necessary paperwork to my insurance company so I can get a bit back. We probably will not be able to afford Dr. Mindy indefinitely, but for the moment it feels like a good investment in our kids’ health. They like going to see Dr. Mindy, and are motivated to care for their teeth because they think highly of her.

We go to her Brooklyn office in Carroll Gardens and my 6 years old daughter has been loving Dr. Mindy since the first time she stepped into her office at age 3 ! In fact, she is aspired to being a pediatric dentist, because she thinks Dr. Mindy is so wonderful. Dr. Mindy’s staffs have always been very friendly and kind to us and that really makes the the best team out there. No she doesn’t take insurance, but we are lucky to have a decent dental insurance that covers out of network Dr. Dr. Mindy gives us the best advises of how to take care of the teeth and kids really respond well to her bright smile and great energy. If she is someone only wants to make money, she wouldn’t be giving good advises to prevent dental deceases. Her office is so clean and fun to visit with all the nice Safari wall décor. I wish that I had a dentist like her growing up!

I give this practice no stars! She appears nice but all she is is a cash cow highway robber. She doesn’t take insurance and changes you for things you do not need. She made an error on one of my friends kids then charged my friend to fix it. She has specific morning only hours for young kids and will not accommodate working families… her staff is rude and told me to take off of work to bring my children to the dentist «because after all it is only twice a year» and they wouldn’t let me come to an appt at 3 because it was office policy… they are rude go to kid smile!

AMAZING!!! She is like Brenda the Good Witch. She is beautiful, kind, smart and gentle. She is non-​aggressive. She did work on my four year old. He did not even flinch. She was my second opinion. The first person said 2 ROOT CANALS AND THREE SILVER CAPS. She ended up doing fillings and special treatments. She was so gentle and professional. I am so happy to find her. She does not take UFT unfortunately, but she is worth every penny. i am just happy to find her. I totally recommend her. She is the perfect dentist, She told him jokes, stroked his hair and made him feel safe and was SMART AND SAFE. She did not try to rob you because she does not need to. I will go to her until my kids turn 18. I went to her Brooklyn office. She has two.
