Renee has been playing instruments for over fifteen years. She currently holds a degree in Music Therapy from Loyola University New Orleans. Renee teaches flute and oboe to beginner, intermediate, and advanced students and guitar and piano to beginners. She tailors her lessons to the needs of each student individually and has experience teaching many age groups, especially children with little to no background.

Renee is an exceptional teacher. My daughter was taking flute and guitar lessons with her, both from the beginner level. Renee has a way to teach kids without stressing them out with a lot of homework but still maintaining a good pace so you really see (well, hear) the progress. I really loved the special assignments she adds to the lessons based on the kid’s interest. For example, my daughter was playing music from her favorite tv shows and also we tried Christmas songs duets (I was playing piano) under Renee’s direction. It was really fun! Renee is also very calm and super friendly, I really love her personality. Highly recommended!

Renee taught my children (currently age 6 and 8) piano for about 2.5 years. My son has ADHD so I was looking for a teacher who is patient and I was referred to her. She not only has great patience but she’s very calm and focused when teaching. She takes time to make sure my children understand the materials and go over many times if they don’t understand.
Her weekly assignments were reasonable so the children didn’t feel stressed from their lesson. She’s also very flexible and understanding. The best part is that my children LOVED her. They really enjoyed playing and learning piano with her and we missed her and her lesson dearly since she relocated. Thank you Renee!

Renee is a really nice teacher. She helped me improve my skills on flute and didn’t get mad at me when I messed up. When I didn’t understand anything she helped me learn more about it. Renee is great at teaching flute, oboe, and guitar and I think people would improve in her lessons.

Renee is a great teacher. I took guitar lessons with Renee a few years ago, and she was really encouraging and patient. She also took the lessons at my own pace. If I was having trouble with a certain chord/​chords, she’d take extra time to work on it, without making me feel bad about not getting it right away. We also worked on singing in tune along with the guitar. I know she also does flute lessons and oboe lessons as well, though I don’t have any experience in that area. I highly recommend Renee for lessons!
