Baymont Inn & Suites Mandan Bismarck Area

The place is very nice, decent lobby and pool area.
Although the first night I was Very concerned about a track of bug bites I got on my leg and swelled the next day after staying there.
I don’t want to say that they have bed bugs but I wasn’t sure what had bitten my leg…
I was staying on company budget for work but if I had a choice I would have left due to the floor of the hotel room being very sticky and moist throughout the week I was there. Wear shoes! Buy some sort of bed bug abd flea spray for your sheets and stip them down if you don’t want to ask the maids to do anything.
Other than that… It was an alright stay.
The pool and hot tub where probably the best part.

This place is OLD, but for the price, it was clean. I stayed a few days while visiting family in the area.
The Good
–Friendly staff
–Awesome Bartender (food is so-​so, but the drinks are great!)
–The waterside at the pool is surprisingly fun!
–The linens are clean. I disagree with a post below about the sheets and blanket. The thin duvet is much cleaner than the older style comforters
The Bad
–the room are stuffy
–The bathroom shower curtain is about 5 inches too long which means it collects water in the tub.
–There are not enough outlets for the modern traveler. We had to unplug the lamp on the night stand and the alarm clock to charge our phones. The floor lamp didn’t even had a plug to plug it in. Thus, there was only 1 working lamp. They need to update the night stand lamp to include chargers or provide a few extension cords.
–Short staff. 1) on the weekend the breakfast area as a mess! 2) no one checks in on the pool area so kids are unescorted an there are no towels

This hotel was so gross that we checked in, stayed 10 min and checked out. It smelled like a combination of pledge lemon scented dust aerosol, an elementary school cafeteria and a musty old closet. The bedding was not put on correctly, was very wrinkled and the top sheet on one bed was off colored from the rest of the bedding. The bathroom was tiny and old. The whole place needs a renovation. It’s a dump.

I was excited to stay in a hotel from my childhood, but this soon all dissolved.
I first thought everything was okay but they were remodeling so the hallways were a disaster and you could smell the paint and drywall. The beds didn’t have much blankets. They uses two sheets with a flimsy blanket in between. A cheap way to appear as if they were «modern.» The room was so stuffy I couldn’t sleep. This place needs way more upgrades and after speaking with locals, the place had a lot of problems. Lots of problems!
The manager accused me of smoking in the room and I only smoke outside so she must have smelled smoke on me. She called the cops! What a great way to wake up with some mean lady knocking on my door. I was here visiting my mother in the hospital too. I will never stay here again or in Mandan ever!!! I have never been treated so rudely and crudely. This is the welcome home I get for visiting my dying mother?! Do not stay here! There are much better hotels in Bismarck. I hope they burn to the ground!!!
