We proudly offer Benjamin Moore Paints as well as Hunter Douglas and Graber blinds and shades, Shaw and Bliss carpeting and flooring. We have some of the best brands of wallpaper to add life and dimension to your area. We also have complete custom workrooms to fabricate window treatments, cornices, valances and sheers as well as to reupholster your cherished furniture. Area rugs, door and cabinet hardware, radiator enclosures, in-​stock valances, interior and exterior paints and stains are a sampling of what we have.

If you need help deciding how to finish your area, one of our professional decorators can come to your home or place of business to offer advice on colors and products to make sure everything goes together. We have all the products you need to complete your project yourself or have one of our fully certified installers do the work for you and have the comfort of knowing it will be done right the first time to last for years to come!

History

Established in 1878.

John Boyle decorating started in New Britain in 1878. They have since grown to 6 locations throughout central CT and a now a fourth generation, family run company. This Manchester location was acquired in 2013 and was previously Paul’s Paint.

Meet the Manager

Lee S.

Manager

Lee started in the paint and decorating business in 1988 at Paul’s Paint. In 1998, he took a position of store manager for a decorating boutique in Berlin, CT. When John Boyle Decorating decided to buy Paul’s Paint from the retiring owner, Lee jumped at the chance to return to his roots and become store manager for the 1st John Boyle location east of the river. Lee and his staff are very adept at color advice, problem solving and product specification. If you need help with your decorating project, stop in today!

John Boyle’s is my local Benjamin Moore dealer, located on Main St. in Manchester.
This location is really great because the space is small, but also packed with anything you might need for your home improvement project, including staff who are very eager to help. Far less overwhelming than big box stores when you are mid-​project and just need a fabulous paint color.
The lighting in the store is actually really optimal for choosing paint colors, and there is a table right near the paint samples on which you can fan out your tile or curtains or whatever it is you are trying to match up. Simple, but much appreciated.
They will also store your paint and finish information in the computer in case you need to reference it later and can’t remember what the heck you chose. Everything revolves around the customer in this place, and you know what? I love it. Check them out next time you are sprucing up your homestead!

THE decorating center for sure! Wonderful staff no matter which location, helpful friendly decorating staff, sure to please customers in need, Great paint supplier as well, Benjamin Moore paints, informative representatives.

This cute little store on Main Street carries an impressive selection of wall coverings for such a small location! Prices are quite reasonable: Paul’s actually sells certain brands of paint brushes for less than Home Depot does. And I really appreciated the fact that they post coupons online! That was actually the deciding factor in me choosing Paul’s over another locally-​owned decorating store. I do wish that Paul’s carried some sort of tiling/​backsplash options, even if it were just special-​order ones.
