I sincerely miss eating there so much and it hurts that I cant afford the trip. I really dont care what other viewers say, I personally think theyre clean. And yes it really is funny when the staff check their cellphones as long as their hands are clean, theyre nice and accommodating what they do on their cellphones is their business. I dont own the place so I dont have a say in the manner. Sushi, I think is always delicious and fresh. The miso soup is perfect to have for this winter weather and always served hot. It really depends on when you stop by. Sometimes the food is fresh sometimes it isnt. If its fresh and delicious, I’ll make it disappear, lol. The waitstaff I think is very nice as long as youre not Asian this Asian that, theyre human beings like you and I, so be nice. One day I left a nice tip because the waiter went out of his way to get me a separate plate for my shrimp shells. What a sweetheart despite me being the only customer in there on a Friday night. I made the manager’s day and it felt good seeing her smile. Gosh, I miss that place. Once I’m back in Manchester, this is going to be one of my main stops.

Came here in a large group(more than 10 people). This actually turned out pretty well for the group size. As far as the food, I found the hot foods section of the buffet to be a bit sparse. The sushi, on the other hand, was a larger selection than I’m used to at buffets, roughly 24 different types. It also surprised me that there was a selection of nigiri as well. The hibachi station of the buffet was a little lacking. There wasn’t a chef manning the station when I wanted it, but when I looked at the ingredients for the hibachi, I didn’t want it anymore. Maybe it was because they hadn’t restocked since lunch ended, but the spread looked like it had been out for a while and it was low on supply as well. The also had an oyster and clam shucking station, so if that’s your thing… They had only a few options for dessert, but they had green tea mousse cake and sesame balls. Also, they had many quite a few ice cream options including red bean and green tea. I never tried the red bean, but the green tea was pretty good. Overall, I thought this was alright. It’s a decent choice for large group sizes, but I probably wouldn’t come back by myself.

Horrible place to eat on a piss stop from New York to boston. I would give it no star if I can. I pay for sushi that was sitting there. It was way over price for left over.

It should be one star, but for the sake of waitress attitude, two star. Over $ 15 price but seems $ 5 level quality, I was eating with surprise to the end. No next time.

Worse mistake of my life was made when I didn’t turn around and leave after entering this place. Trust me, I have made plenty of mistakes in my life. No one, other than the employees, was here at 6pm on a Sunday evening? That was clue #1. Clue #2. Chicken wings looked like they had been sitting there for days. Clue #3. Sushi looked rubbery. And it was, I spit out the«tuna» when I could bite it on the first try. Clue #4. What reputable restaurant would want to serve as a piss and smoke stop for a NY to Boston Lucky Star bus? I am mad at myself for paying $ 20 for this horrible dinner.

Weirdly enough, Lucky Star Buses running the NYC-Boston line stop here midway through their journey to let passengers off for a stretch break, opportunity to use the restroom, and chance to get a to-go box from this restaurant’s buffet. I can’t tell you what the food tastes like, but I can tell you what it looks like(absolutely disgusting, since there’s a thick goop of oil on everything) and what it smells like(congealed grease, mostly, laced with raw fish from the sushi bar). Fake, Americanized Chinese food definitely isn’t my style, so I passed on trying to choke anything down from here. There is a cute little grocery store-style arrangement in the entrance area that has a variety of snack foods and Japanese beverages. Getting a Ramune to go isn’t a bad idea; just stay away from the food.

Good food and great price with varieties of seafood and sushi. Raw seafood section has very fresh oyster, there is a cook at the bar and he will open oyster for you. He also grill hibachi for you.

The food here is terrible. the sushi is like they took it out of the packed sushi you find at price chopper. The sushi has so much rice and they skimp on the fish. it’s like they try to make you full on purpose because of the rice.

Run of the mill Asian buffet with marginal, rice heavy, suhi. Seemed fresh but just nothing special and overpriced. The dessert section is poorly done.

Yum! Love this place. I went with family because we’re all huge sushi addicts. We loved it! There are sooo many options and different sushi rolls to try. All of the ones I did try were delicious. The buffet is very clean. I would definitely come here again. Not too expensive, you definitely get your money’s worth. I wish another misaki would open up in Hartford.

Went here last night, I’ve never really done a buffet thing before so it was nice, the sushi is what you would except for all you can eat. Other than the busses constantly coming through the staff was nice

Blech. Tried this place again and disliked it even more. The food is so heavy and really americanized. I am usually a huge fan of coconut shrimp but it was so much heavier than usual and almost tasted like mayonnaise was on it. The rest of the food just tasted overly processed. The sushi is bland and not fresh tasting at all. Service was fine, but definitely one of my least favorite buffets.

We love this place! A great variety of sushi and other dishes. Lunch prices are definitely better than the dinner prices but also a different selection is being offered. Sometimes you can tell that they put out some lunch items for dinner but for the most part everything is made fresh as far as I can tell! Don’t look for friendly service though! Not really their strong side!

Surprisingly, this was a wonderful back-up after being rejected at the Sakura in Evergreen Walk. Speaking of Sakura Garden, this is a poor man’s Sakura Garden… at the West Hartford buffet location, but I thought that I had some wonderful plates for the money. The sushi was good and everyone in my party was happy. The waitress was also very hospitable. It was a no frills establishment Great alternative if you cannot get into any of the trendy restaurants at Evergreen Walk.

In all truth — the best place for this restaurant in terms of a star rating is about 3 ½ stars. The sushi at most Asian restaurants with buffets is sub par. That’s not the case here. Frankly, you’d have to be a bit of a snob to say the sushi here is not good. The lunch price is far better than the dinner price. The only two things that are a bit annoying is they must have some deal with a coach that travels between NYC and Boston and deploys passengers here for takeout mid-trip. It swamps the restaurant and restrooms for a few minutes at a time. Additionally, they stop replenishing some lunch items as the«dinner time» approaches, which means that if you get the 30 minutes before the dinner menu begins they will look to empty out lunch-only items before that time — instead of replenishing them until the dinner time starts. This means you might be getting about 5 – 10 minutes of what you paid for. Otherwise, the quality of the sushi makes-up for the lackluster area and the pesky details mentioned above.

Don’t bring a sushi connoisseur here. Don’t bring your disapproving family members here. Definitely don’t bring a date here. But I’m actually moderately impressed with Misaki, given what it’s meant to be. It’s a stuff-your-face Asian-American buffet that also happens to feature some decent sushi items. Decorated about as well as a Sizzler, it’s really best for established couples, groups of close friends, and«sushi virgins» who wish to stick their pinkie toes in the perilous waters of raw fish. Standard sushi pieces include tuna, salmon, eel, mackerel, white tuna, red snapper, and shrimp. Specialty rolls include Rainbow, Phoenix, California, Boston, Philadelphia, and Spicy Tuna. I’d say there are about 25 – 30 sushi choices in total. It’s not an enormous variety, rather a modest selection of typical sushi favorites, which I think is a reasonable expectation for a place of this caliber. $ 16.99 seems a fair price for the experience, and as far as I can tell, that experience does not include a C. diff infection.

I love Misaki! I long for the pit stop here on the way from New York — you get a chance to fill up a styrofoam container with quality Chinese food(or Japanese fare if you’re a high roller, but let’s be honest — you’re taking a sketchy-ass bus from the middle of Chinatown to get to Boston for 20 bucks, so probably not?). It’s on the pricier side, but if you had to run to catch the bus and didn’t have a chance to grab food, this will do just fine. The food options are sparse but delicious and seem fresh. The staff is trained to check out customers at the speed of light. There are random snacks on the way out(candy bars, gum, bottled drinks) so your remaining 1.5 hour ride promises to be quite enjoyable!

Third time here. Lunch is only $ 8.99. All you can eat fresh sushi and japanese food… Can’t go wrong. The atmosphere is that typical of any other Chinese buffet. Overstaffed non English speaking employees… And generic looking setup and décor. Food: the Japanese food and hibachi is pretty spot on. Didn’t do to much exploring at buffet side of things since I go there for sushi and pretty much sushi only. The sushi buffet is also spot on. I mean typical buffet issues of not putting fresh out and taking away not fresh often enough. But as far as selection general freshness and taste… I’ll be going for a fourth visit and probably soon

I first visited Misaki a bunch of years ago when the Chinatown buses stopped here. There used to be a dollar store nearby that had better snacks. Now the Chinatown buses are stopping here again, the dollar store is gone, and Misaki sells grossly overpriced snacks to cater to the bus crowds. The food here is your standard buffet on the run. There’s nothing that screams out, «MAN! THEIRCHICKENFINGERSAREAWESOME!!!». I’m sure the locals enjoy it, but I’ve never seen it busy. By their checkout counter, they have stacks of cookies and potato chips for the bus crowd. For one of each and a drink, you’re looking at 5 – 6 $. Honestly, just going to the Big Y nearby will save you3 $. There is an power outlet next to the fish tank when you first walk in, which can be handy if your phone is nearly dead. If you factor that into the cost, maybe 5 – 6 $ ain’t so bad. I really preferred the stop at Burger King/McDonald’s over this location.
