Tried to go there last night and they are closed for business.

Not as good as the Golden Tao @ 270 Amory St but they are a good and strong restaurant. Surprised me at first but they are excellent.

Came for a «Love Boat» 2 person Sushi platter(all selected for you) and some Mango Mai Tai’s(recommended) on a Wednesday which had a salsa lesson night(not sure if this is a regular event). No one is here eating(just the dancers here) so I’m timing them on delivery time as I heard complaints in other reviews. I clocked them at 25 minutes from order to delivery with ZERO other customers. I don’t think that’s bad and feel like people don’t realized sushi takes time to prepare but you decide. The Mango Mai Tai’s were delicious but served in a rather small rocks glass for $ 7.50 each. The Love Boat($ 65) came out on a giant wooden crafted boat with sail and all so it looked amazing! All the sushi and sushimi was fresh but undercooked.(Shh!.. That’s just sushi humor ;) We wish we could have choosen which 3 «special rolls» would come with our Love Boat but all 3 were good as is. I looked for things I didn’t like but no major complaints though I have gotten better deals on equal or better sushi. Everything came to $ 87.20 before tip. My favorite sushi place by far for quality AND for value is 7 Nana in Billerica, Ma. Not near here but worth a trip!

I came in for the lunch buffet with a group of three other people. Service was adequate. They didn’t go above or beyond, but it wasn’t really lacking. Drinks were brought to us and plates were cleared promptly. Restaurant was clean. One star because the food was lousy. The selection in the buffet was abysmal. There were chicken fingers, crab Rangoon, fried rice that was empty me never got refilled even though there was still over an hour left on the buffet when we left. There was two other entrees that were empty. There was a chicken and broccoli dish with meat that didn’t taste like chicken and broccoli that was way over cooked. The sushi selection was embarrassing and no real fish was present. Lots of artificial crab. There may have been one roll with tuna. I’m not someone that likes to say that I got sick because of a restaurant and I suppose it’s just a coincidence, but within an hour of leaving here, I was violently ill. Was it the awful food and gross sushi? If you like crab rangoon, it was passable here. The desserts come in a box and were frozen when I tried to bite into them. I have not had too much Chinese food in New Hampshire, but this was horrid. It’s not that expensive for the lunch buffet, but still not a good value since the food was so terrible.

We went here last night for the«all you can eat sushi». I can honestly say that this is some of the worst sushi I’ve had. There was very little fish and tons of rice. Some of the rolls seem as though they were made ahead of time and refrigerated. I’ve had better sushi from a supermarket. The service was terrible as well. The restaurant was not very crowded but it took about 10 – 15 mins to come get our drink orders, another 10 – 15 mins after that to take our food order and then at least 30 mins(or more) after that to get our food. Somehow they even managed to get our food order wrong even though we checked boxes on a sheet of paper which were delivered with the plates. We didn’t even put in our second sushi order(it was that bad and we didn’t want to be there another hour). Stay away!

Saw a lot of mixed reviews here but decided to try Jade Dragon for their«all you can eat Sushi» night(every Thursday from 3−9pm). Sometimes a «deal» is a «good deal» and sometimes it isn’t. This one isn’t. The inside of the restaurant is very interesting and definitely has some unique character. It was about half-full when my family of 7 arrived. It took nearly 15 minutes for a waitress to take our drink orders, and another 45 minutes(after that) to get our food. I’m not exaggerating. The Sushi portions were small and the quality was poor. Several of our orders were incorrect as well although they had the right order/tag along with each plate(that’s how they track it). The sushi at your local Market Basket isn’t terrific but is better than what we experienced here. Really — I’m not kidding. Some of the rolls were made fresh and some seemed to have been made previously and refrigerated. You can tell because the entire roll is very cold and the rice is dry when they’re made like this. A few of the rolls had an «off» taste to them that is difficult to describe but didn’t seem right. Although we could order more Sushi, we decided to depart after the first-round because the sushi wasn’t very tasty and we didn’t want to wait another 30 – 60 minutes to try again. Two members of our group had upset stomachs later. We were very disappointed in our experience and won’t return. Not sure if the sushi is better on other non-all-you-can-eat nights but I’m not willing to try again. There are several good Sushi places in the area that are worth the additional cost. Drive a few minutes East and Yuki in Manchester is consistently excellent. Yoshimama in Nashua is also very good. Sake House in Milford is very inexpensive during their Mon-Wed half-off nites and not the best but quite decent.

This place is awesome! I go there for lunch frequently and there is never anyone there, which I find odd. The prices are cheap and the food is so awesome. They have lunch specials everyday and a lunch buffet Monday — Friday. Beef teriyaki and crab rangoon are excellent: I’ve never had any better! The sushi is so fresh and delicious with specials everyday. on Thursdays, all you can eat sushi for $ 9.99. They have a huge variety and specialty rolls as well. The other classic dishes such as beef and broccoli and general tso’s chicken are a large portion for a cheap lunch rate of around $ 8 and very tasty! Pu pu platter is delicious as well! I also have to admit that as a loyal customer, the bartenders are very generous to my friends and I. The drinks they make for us are delicious and very large. I suggest sitting as the bar for the most prompt and friendly service! I hope this place prospers in the near future!

Food is great, but it’s the slowest service in Manchester. Came in at 8pm, order taken at 8:20, drinks arrived at 8:50, and didn’t see the waitress again until we went to the hostess at 9:45. Drinks were faster this time, and only took 20 minutes. This place was better when it was the Brimmer.

Then you get mad at me for leaving the bar without paying?! PUTITONMYCARDASSH*LE!!! Worst bartender, did the same thing to another guy, he was trying to start sh*t with whoever he could, seriously fire his ass before he finds himself in a body bag. Guess what?! The first thing you’ll think when you walk in is «where are all the people?» which may give you the thought that this place is terrible, but it’s actually quite the opposite. Prices are great and the food is delicious, Lobster Rangoons are I think $ 8 for 12 of them. Granted, there probably isn’t even real lobster in them, but they taste good and are cooked perfectly. Sushi/Make is great and tastes fresh, I got a platter with sashimi and the pieces were a bit too large for my liking. You almost start to think too much about the raw fish you’re chewing… I like a few chews and done! The downfall would be their service — the girl bartender makes decent drinks but you often order a drink and see her texting on her phone or disappearing for a bit before she actually makes you your drink. A young kid works with her sometimes and he is pretty awful; just isn’t paying attention and ignores you, I think it’s more inexperience than malicious though. So if you want great Chinese food and Sushi and don’t mind sacrificing a little service then it’s awesome or just get take-out and not deal with it!

So I’m really sick and thought I’d pick up some soup from here. It’s been 30 minutes since I’ve called it in and still no food. Second, when I placed the order, the gentleman told me it would be half off. When I got here, the hostess informed me that only applied for dine in. I had added extra food to my meal upon hearing the deal, so it annoys me that they would tell me that food is half off knowing that was not applicable to my situation. I’m sorry, I had to vent. 40 minutes now, I type slowly ony cell, and still no food. Just FYI, I ordered a egg drop soup, an order of pan fried dumplings, and a spicy tuna roll. Not much to ask, right? Even tipped them for the take out.

I can’t believe this place is rated so high. This was one of the poorest restaurant experiences of my life. The bar was offering 50% off all food as part of Manchester Eats Week, a week long event where participating restaurants offer deals basically to drum up business. You’d think with that deal on a Saturday afternoon it would be packed. There was literally not a single person there. We had a dozen people. We were seated by the bizarre hostess another reviewer mentioned. She took our drink order and less than 3 minutes later, with menus still in our hands, she came over and coarsely asked what our choices were. Lady, if 10 of 12 people are reading menus, the table isn’t ready to order. She took our order a few minutes later, but then the actual waitress came over to take our order, while another woman filled out water glasses. We’d been there 10 minutes and have had 4 people come to the table. WTF is going on here?. The waitress had come back again because the hostess had near illegible handwriting and she needed to double check the orders. Over the next hour, we watched a complete mess unfold. The drinks took 20 minutes because the bartender was also the one rolling the sushi, I’ve never seen that in my life. Dishes made their way out one at a time as they were ready Some of us were done our meals before others has received theirs. At one point after 30 minutes, the owner came over to inform me they had«forgotten the duck» I had ordered and were putting it in now and I hadn’t received my sashimi either. He brought out 4 crab rangoon for me, which were awful, and offered no one else anything while they waited. The final person at our table got their dish, a maki roll, after an hour and ten minutes. The consensus on the food was universal crap. Everything from bad sushi, dry rice, overcooked lamb, and awful, awful crab rangoon with nothing but cream cheese. My duck was awful, the sashimi boring. Some of our group never received the food they had ordered and were fine with it, as no one wanted to wait any longer. When the bills came, nothing was charged to who it should be. Mystery items appeared no one had ordered while actual ordered food was missing. To fix these mistakes took another 15 minutes. We were offered no comps, no discounts, nothing. In fact, the owner apologized for the shit service when we left and laughed, yes actually laughed at his restaurant’s failures, and said he would see us next time. That’s awfully damn presumptuous of him that there will be a next time, because there won’t be. We arrived at 3:45 and were not out the door until 6. You’d think that they would be ready with the Eats Week crowd coming in, but they weren’t and in fact, have driven 12 people to never come back here again, so it had the exact opposite affect. Stay the hell away. I’m typing this while fighting the cramps in my stomach. Never again and the place will be a long running joke within our group.

The food is solid here, some tasty sushi options including some hot and spicy rolls with jalepeno. The lunch specials are great, large portions and generous sides. The bartender Alex is a fun and entertaining guy, try the evil mai tai’s, they are awesome. The habanero rum is pretty crazy but will put some fire into your day. I usually roll with the shezuan chicken and crab rangoons with pork fried — solid lunch. The service has always been really good, I always eat here for lunch so no idea what a dinner service looks like. The bathrooms are cleaner and better than my previous office which was on 1155 Elm. I have never been let down going here and probably have been here for lunch 20+ times.

Hands down the beat Chinese food in Manchester. Amazing from beginning to ends. We have had the soup, sushi, so yummy crab rangoon, dumplings, general’s chicken and vegetable rice noodles. Great location, but parking is a pain.

I grew up with the Jade Dragon in Merrimack and since the current owners took over, the food has become really great. We went to the Manchester location on Saturday night on a whim and were very pleased with our experience. We all had dinner combos and it’s a heaping plate of food. No complaints about portions. I also ordered the scallion pancake and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. Good prices, around $ 9 per person for the combos. Service was excellent. Very attentive, courteous, waitstaff. The owner was at our table frequently and he was genuine. My water was always full. I couldn’t have asked for more. Will come back when we’re in Manchester.

(This review covers their more standard food offerings. We did not try the sushi, which I’ve heard is quite good but I cannot vouch for). Jade Dragon offered a solid downtown Chinese food destination but didn’t quite standout enough to justify a special trip out of the way. ****************** Pros: In general, the preparation of the food was a notch above much of what Manchester has to offer. The dining area was spacious and had a pretty nice overall ambiance to it. Cons: The cost to food proportion wasn’t very consistent and didn’t provide a great value in many cases. The service wasn’t incredible, although this is not the fault of the server, but rather the set-up. ******************* My family and I stopped by the Jade Dragon on Saturday, September 21st around 6:30PM. The main dining area was probably 2⁄3 full with a couple larger parties and some smaller ones, and we were seated immediately stage right(yes, there was a stage in the middle of the room, the Brimmer lives!). We sat down and our server came over and took our drink orders. I stuck with water, while the rest of my family either ordered sodas or a glass of wine. The water was fine(although I don’t quite get why these restaurants can’t spring for an adult size glass of water) as were the sodas, but they were extremely stingy on the wine. Considering it was a generic, commonly ordered wine, $ 8 for a glass is in line. But the glass wasn’t a full glass, but at best a half glass. This was a disappointing choice and the cocktails seem like a better investment(or the beers). Since this was our first time there, we ordered the Pu Pu Platter(x2) in order to try as much as we could, in addition to a Vegetable Lo Mein and the Sesame Crispy Tofu. The Pu Pu Platter($ 10.95) was a pretty standard sampler. The chicken wings were subbed out for additional beef teriyaki(+$ 1.50). The food compared favorably to other local staples. The lobster rangoons weren’t really different than the commonly found crab rangoons, but the tinge of difference was positive and they were very well cooked: crispy without being weighed down. The beef teriyaki and boneless ribs received positive marks from the table. There were two downsides: the shrimp tempura was a bust, it held absolutely no flavor compared to the rest of the platter. Additionally, considering it cost roughly $ 25.00 to do two platters, the amount of food received felt lacking. It seems like they could really afford to bump up the portions a bit on this one(or not charge for a substitution, or lower it below the $ 10 point per person) The Vegetable Lo Mein($ 10.00) wasn’t worth it. It was a solid enough dish, about on par with what you’d find in other local options, but you usually get more for less at those places. I didn’t have the negative experience that others had with their offerings but it was pretty forgettable. The Sesame Crispy Tofu($ 12.00) was the highlight for me. There were probably 15 respectably cubes of tofu slathered in a very nice sesame-based sauce, and they were fried just right: crispy on the outside and hot on the inside. I would have been happy just ordering that dish. Now, once again, the price isn’t favorably compared to a place like the Szechuan House where you can get a similar dish(Hunan or General Chao’s Tofu) for $ 8.00, but at least the flavors on this option were spot on. We got out of there for roughly $ 70.00, which didn’t seem worth it to me. They’re not offering mind-blowingly awesome food, and there’s not enough of the food they are offering to justify that price tag. Now, I think some of this can be forgiven in that Jade Dragon at least looks like a more upscale location. The interior is very nicely decorated and it doesn’t have that cheesy or dirty feel you get from other local Chinese restaurants. There were a couple parties going on and it felt like a nice place to bring a bunch of friends to celebrate. Unfortunately, the odd mix of service styles just didn’t seem to match the vibe they were trying to give off. Our server wasn’t bad, but between the different people going around filling water glasses, the somewhat odd behavior of the hostess, and some other minor gaffes, it felt much more like a hodgepodge of help than a unified serving corps. It wasn’t bad. I think if you’re craving Chinese food downtown you can do worse, but they didn’t give me a big reason to come back, when all is said and done.

First the hot mustard was completely watery. It’s supposed to be thick. First of many disappointments. Won Ton Soup — It was good. No complaints. Boneless Spare Ribs — Slightly overcooked which robbed them of the flavor they should have had. Crab Rangoon — Overcooked and lacked real flavor. I couldn’t see any evidence of any crab being in any of them. Pork Fried Rice — Bland. Dry. No seasoning. No thank you. Beef Lo Mein — Beef itself was good but the noodles and veggies were not. MSG laden. Steamed Dumplings — Overcooked. The dipping sauce completely sucked. Service was slow. Drinks were weak. The Brimmer still looks the same which is their only plus. I don’t see them lasting long on Elm St. The food is over priced for the lack of flavor of the food. Maybe their sushi is good but I don’t eat it. I won’t be back.
