Probably the freshest and best Chinese food in Manchester. Service is always quick. Order is always correct and food is always great.

Counter service was speedy and friendly. Ordered crab Rangoon, scallion pancake, spring rolls, General gaos chicken, and the ginger scallion lo mein. Let me start with the lo mein — never heard of ginger scallion lo mein, asked if it was vegetarian(it is) and went ahead with it. Very unusual and delicious, if you like ginger. The sauce on the chicken was very tasty, sweet and a little smokey, although not as spicy as my husband likes. Spring rolls were crispy and hot. Scallion pancake was very large, with some crunchy pieces and some flakier. Crab Rangoon was probably my favorite in the city — almost tasted like it had garlic and herbs in it. Delicious! We did take-out, but there were plenty of booths if you ever want to stay and eat. Tl;dr– unexpectedly good for a little place randomly stuck in a residential neighborhood!

This my spot for the best crab rangoons in the city. Recently they hung a flier of my lost dog in their store which aided in his recovery after two nights of roaming the streets. You provided a service above and beyond what is expected. Thank you so much.

Great food. No cheaper than your average Chinese food but better. There food is delicious when you get it and the next day. There food is not swimming in grease like most. If your looking for the perfect Chinese food this is the place for you. Thanks Hong Kong City

Out of all the Chinese restaurants in Manchester, this is the best. Very quick, generous portions and the best value for your money.

I’ve been coming here for a couple months now it’s really close to my work which is how I ended up trying in the first place. I’ve been really disappointed with my regular Chinese take out or eat in this last year or so. Actually just gave up and stopped ordering Chinese until my work was ordering one day and I decided to try them out. This place has been awesome, It’s my new go to for Chinese. Everything I’ve tried so far is great. I love their pork egg foo yong, and they’re Peking dumplings. The lobster sauce is good and This really good luncheon specials. They’re very quick and even have delivery I believe.

Had dinner there a really long time ago and this review was stuck in my draft folder. Pad Thai Chicken and Pork Fried Rice were great. In and out of there in less than 10 minutes.

UPDATE: Since my initial posting, I’ve ordered takeout a few times from Hong Kong City(HKC) during lunch hours. SUMMARY: This Chinese takeout place is order at the counter with open kitchen and a few hard booths for eating in. The menu offerings consist of the standard Chinese American dishes including Szechuan, Hunan and Cantonese dishes, most items under $ 10 and house specialties $ 9.75-$ 17.50. 25 Luncheon Specials($ 5.50-$ 6.25) served with pork fried rice or white rice, add choice of one appetizer for $ 1.25 more, until 3PM except Sundays & Holidays. 18 All Day Dinner Specials(entrée & appetizers-$ 8.50 each) served with pork fried rice or white rice. The portions for the Lunch Specials are very generous portion, enough for 3 – 4 smaller meals. I enjoy ordering the L8 Szechuan Chicken($ 5.50) which consists of chopped tender boneless chicken, celery, peppers, onions, carrots, peanuts in a light spicy sauce, slightly salty taste. The pork fried rice(dark color) is made fresh which has sauteed onions and small pieces of roast pork in soft rice. The chicken teriyaki and beef teriyaki sticks are now pretty good, which have plenty of marinated tender(slightly chewy) meat with a sweet flavor. I still order the L11 Pork Lo Mein($ 5.50) which has the same ingredients as my previous post with carrots, onions, vegetables, preserved mushrooms, water chestnuts and tender roast pork strips tossed in soft noodles. Overall, Hong Kong City still offers tasty Chinese food at pretty good prices. DELIVERY: Minimum $ 20 order

This is my go-to place for Chinese take-out. The food is completely standard and the dining area is almost non-existent, but that’s par for the course in small Chinese restaurants. The food always tastes fresh and hot — I’ve never had mushy fried rice or slimy, super-greasy chicken — and it’s prepared very quickly. The premises are always clean as well, something that is sadly lacking in many Chinese take-outs. Personally I think this is the best take-out restaurant in Manchester and in terms of food quality even beats out some of the more popular sit-down places.(Yee Dynasty, Aloha) The prices, especially for lunch, are great. It’s not perfect(or healthy) but when you get that sudden urge for cheap, tasty and filling Chinese food Hong Kong City is tough to beat.
