I like the other commenter utilized this contractor for a roofing job. I paid half up front, he picked up materials came out with some guys, did most of the job, then came the excuses(family problems, money problems, migraines, whatever). Long story short — DONOT HiRE THISGUY. He even came back to my house when I wasn’t home and took off with the materials I paid for so I couldn’t even have another contractor come and finish the job.

I’m in the process of renovating our antique house in Boxford, MA. In October, last year I sought estimates for re-roofing and cladding repair and accepted an estimate given by: John LaCortiglia, Frame Right Construction 30 Norris Street, Manchester NH. On agreement(10−16−09) I gave Mr LaCortiglia a check for the material part of the estimate with his promise to commence work the following day. My check was immediately cashed, however Mr LaCortiglia did not show. I called repeatedly without them being returned. Mr LaCortiglia finally turned up on the site unannounced on 11−21−09 with 2 men, some materials and excuses for lack of communication owing to family problems. He left after a couple of hours and his men worked for about a week, struggling for lack of equipment and support. On 11−29−09, Mr LaCortiglia turned up again for a few hours and presented a bill for the final stage of the work which was paid. One of his men worked the following day however since that time, there has been no further work carried out leaving the new work incomplete and vulnerable. The site was left in a deplorable state with materials unprotected and debris strewn over the yard. As a consequence, newly installed roofing was damaged by winds and weather. Since 11−29−09, I have made repeated calls and sent 2 certified letters which are unanswered as of 2−10−10. I strongly recommend against the use of this person or any company connected with him.
