History

Established in 1984.

Frame Dimensions is locally owned and operated by Joseph and Susan Lipiner with Richard McCain as General Manager of Operations.

Joseph Lipiner purchased The Frame Factory in Vernon, Connecticut in 1984 and changed the name to Frame Dimensions. He soon expanded with a second gallery in West Hartford Center in 1989. The West Hartford gallery houses an extraordinary collection of prints and original art with many talented local and international artists represented. The gallery also features a tremendous display of unique ready-​made photo frames and a spectacular framing design center. In May of 2006, Frame Dimensions purchased the operations of Exposure LTD Art and Frame of Manchester. In July of 2006, the original location was moved from Vernon to 777 Main Street in downtown Manchester where it remained for seven years. In early 2012 the Lipiners purchased the former Bike Shop Building, two blocks north at 681 Main Street. In Nov. of 2012, after an extensive nine month restoration.
