No complains for this dinner at all! Service was great, Craig was attentive and answered all questions. Food arrived quickly and was delicious. I would definitely come back again.

I LOVE this place. I have been coming here for years. I am never disappointed with the food or service. They have many options to choose from. If you like texmex go here.

Being a big fan of their sister spot T-Bones, this is a tough review to write. If one looks at my other reviews I rarely give a bad review, rather I say nothing at all. However, to call this Mexican food or Tex Mex is a disservice. We ordered nachos and the ground beef was burned, and seasoned with what seemed like a taco seasoning packet and not real care or craft. I ordered a beef burrito, and the same deal. Had I known this would be the same ground beef as the nachos, I would have ordered something else. Wife ordered fajitas and the corn tortilla’s were soaked in cooking oil, not steamed, the chicken, peppers and onions were satisfactory. The rice was dry and also appeared to be from a package and I could not eat it; considering the meal was $ 50, this was highly disappointing, we were hoping for something of equal quality to T-Bones…total let down.

I have been here several times. Always with someone who is a big fan of the establishment. I understand this place is a Manchester staple, especially on the south side of town. But I keep struggling to see why. The service is always hit or miss. The staff always seems well intentioned, but normally miss the mark. Having silverware at the table, being on top of the table’s drinks(whether they are busy or not), etc. The food is decent, but really nothing that is worth a visit. The menu is large and frankly overpriced for the value you receive. The location is good, especially if you want to avoid the chains near the mall after shopping. They do have ample parking, which is a plus. Overall, a good spot to get food if you are desperate, or don’t feel like going downtown. Otherwise, you’d be better off going elsewhere.

I love that the kids get to play with etch a sketches. What a great idea! I love the little charger coasters that go to your table. I wish the hostess were nicer but that is the only complaint. I love the chicken fajitas and I got no green sauce. However the food was good and it was a lot overall I really liked it.

Just not impressed. Had a coupon for a free appetizer, so I thought I’d give it a shot. Walked in and there wasn’t anyone at the front. Women walks up and asks if I’m ok. I say, «yes». She then says, «ok» and proceeds to take a phone call. I start to walk towards the back and am greeted by 2 servers, I guess… They ask if I need help. I explain the situation and then say(giving the girl at the front, the benefit of the doubt), «maybe she thought I was on my way out». The guy that was one of the people who intercepted me, then tried to tell me I need to go back and see the host. The young lady with him, asks if she can help. I say, «I just want to eat». She says ok, grabs a menu and seats me. It takes a while for the server to come see me. When he does come and take my drink order, I ask for a beer. It takes him a little while to get back and my beer is flat. I order the shrimp appetizer and nachos with ground beef. The shrimp was a little rubbery, but ok. The nachos were too salty, too greasy and not too great. I will not be back again.

Fantastic food. I was visiting from out of town and looking for a local place to try. This place nailed it! I have no idea why Tex-mex would be so good in NH but it was. We had the spinach quest dip, a just juice margarita, and the cheese enchiladas. All were fantastic ! I normally like spicy food and they gave me fresh jalapeños to add to my food, perfect! Check this place out! A local gem!

This was our first trip here, it was recommended to us by a coworker. Overall the food was very good, the fried pickles are the best around, not on the menu, just ask for them. We will definitely return.

Never been to Cactus Jack’s or CJ’s before. It looks like a chain, but not sure if it really is. Had a late dinner one evening. I was starving and probably ordered to much food. I ordered their largest Burrito stuffed with ground beef, plus side orders of spinach queso and Guacamole to go with the basket of chips and salsa they bring out. Everything was very tasty — the Guacamole could have used some seasoning, but other than that, the entire meal was tasty and satisfying! I’d definitely eat here again!

Stopped into CJ’s on our first trip out to Manchester NH. Mainly due to the good reviews on Unilocal.Felt a little like a chain as we walked in, which isn’t a great thing. Reminded us of Gardunos back in New Mexico. Got the spinach dip app and a couple house margs. The dip was some of the best I’ve had. Yummy stuff! Good bread, kinda weak chips but still good. The margaritas were a little odd. Tasted like they had some kind of carbonated soda in the mix… Sprite? At any rate, not super traditional and not very good. I got the crispy fish tacos(the house speciality ones), and they were just below okay. Not hot(not cold exactly, but lukewarm at best), quite dry and not very tasty. The tartar sauce saved them from total disaster. Fries typical, but good. Slaw unremarkable. My fiancé got the grilled veggie quesadilla and said the veggies were under seasoned and the dish was generally bland. Service was timely and relatively nice/cordial. Overall the experience failed to ‘grab’ us. Would we give it another chance? Probably not. Certainly not an epic fail but definitely not a win either.

Love this place! Always great service. The fish tacos are phenomenal. The chicken quesadilla is to die for! I’ve never had anything that I don’t like :-) great happy hour deals for both food and drinks! I always get the tacos off the happy hour menu. So delicious.

I got the Veggie nachos wich were delish and my friend got the barbecue pulled bar pork quesadilla and the maple bacon shrimp wich was also excellent. The waitress was friendly and informative. They also serve food until 12:30 which was convenient. The place is clean and updated. I will definitely be back.

I had a house salad and enchilada dinner, all very good. They have a very extensive menu here. The food was prepared with care, with fresh ingredients and nice flavor. Here on business so sat at the bar solo, they have a nice bar area with comfortable seating and many booths. Had a great meal and highly recommend.

Love the food here! Most if not all are homemade. Chicken tenders are hand battered with homemade blue cheese, enough food for a meal but its a appetizer! ! It would be 5 star but got way to much mexican food on the menu.

I would say that the four star average is pretty much right on. some of the best Mexican food I have had. every thing was fresh and home made. I went with three co-workers and we all had the same experience and every one ordered something different. bar tender was very friendly and attentive. prices were very reasonable. I would recommend this place

It was a late night drive across two state lines, and the rumbling in our stomachs were getting louder and louder. Despite the spotty internet access, I managed to do a couple Unilocal searches only to find that very few places were open late along our route. We were grateful to find Cactus Jack’s, as neither of us wanted drive-thru fast food. Coincidentally, it was happy hour time when we arrived. Originally set on enchiladas and haddock tacos, the happy hour menu encouraged us to get smaller plates to share. We had grilled salmon tacos, grilled mahi mahi tacos, and bbq pork quesa-slider-dillas. I liked the soft tacos immensely, though the sides of rice were a tad dry. The quesa-sliders were interesting, but they might have been better with a different choice of meat(the bbq pork was on the sweeter side). I also had a glass of their house white sangria, which didn’t taste as bright as I would have liked. Nevertheless, the prices were cheap and the food was served piping hot, which is just want you want with your late night bites. This place is awesome and I love the extended happy hours!

I found that Cactus Jack’s(CJ’s) has very average Mexican food. The menu is odd and doesn’t seem to have many authentic Mexican food options. My husband and I ordered the mini chips and guacamole appetizer since there are no complimentary chips and salsa offered. To me, this should be a staple at a Mexican restaurant. For dinner, I had the chimichangas and he had the enchiladas. Both we decent, but nothing special. Each entrée was at least $ 15, which is extremely overpriced considering the quality of the food. The margaritas were pretty good, but skimped on the booze. The restaurant is huge, so there should never really be an issue getting a table without a wait. I won’t be back to CJ’s, given how many other higher quality Mexican restaurants are in the area. This place is part of a chain, and it definitely shows.

Delicious Vegetarian Fajitas. There are multiple vegetarian options on the menu along with some great drinks. I ordered the Blazing Veggie Fajitas and they were fantastic. It came with a ton of food and I had leftovers as well. The staff was really kind and didn’t make me feel rushed. This place is great because you can get a Mexican dish but if you are with someone who does not enjoy Mexican they have plenty of other options, even ribs. There is something for everybody.

Mediocre food. Generous portion My friend and I split the combo entrée(something called grande. It comes with empanadas, beans and burrito?) The quality was okay; nothing special or exceptional that made us wow. We also had the tortilla soup which was pretty good.
