Tried this place for two years and they still couldn’t get my prescription right. I had to go back several times to get my glasses redone. They kept telling me I just needed to get use to the glasses. After that I just asked for a prescription to take to Costco and they told me that Costco will screw it up. Well guess what, Costco got it right. As a matter of fact I had my eyes rechecked and the Costco doctor found the Bier prescriptions as wrong. I think it is time for the doctor and his rude staff to retire.

I have never had an eye care center pay as much attention to me as Bier Eye Care does. Their eye exam is detailed — it lasted one hour. And I was very pleased with my new prescription. Definitely 5 stars.

I’ve sought Dr. Bier’s assistance repeatedly over many years; he really gives quality care. He is interested in your eyesight, is very knowledgable, has excellent patient skills, and takes the time to really answer your questions. It isn’t so much about eye glasses as eye health at his clinic, and I can not recommend him more highly.

I adore Dr. Bier and the staff of Bier Eye Care. My family has seen Dr. Bier since 1992 and couldn’t be happier. The… eyeball technicians? are really friendly and thorough. They do the preliminary tests like the peripheral vision test and the measurement of your previous prescription, and then Dr. Bier has you read the eye chart, look through lenses, dilate your pupil, and look into lights. He explains exactly what he’s doing, and takes the time to answer questions or address your specific concerns. He even keeps up with tangentially related things, like how to alleviate allergy symptoms unrelated to your eyes(wash your hair before bed, says his allergist, because allergens collect in your hair all day.) Because you do get lots of time with the doctor, wait times can potentially be long, if another patient needs him. It’s also not uncommon for his presence to be required elsewhere and there may be a short wait between steps of your eye exam. So plan on a long appointment, especially if you are going to pick out frames as well. I think it’s completely worth it. We have always gotten excellent glasses at good prices, totally accurate prescriptions, and have never been treated with anything less than outstanding, friendly customer service by every single person in the office. If you have any concerns about your insurance being accepted(by any doctor), check your insurer’s website before calling the healthcare provider. :)

I stopped in here on recommendation from my boyfriend’s family — and let me tell you, after going here, you will never want to go to those mall-type eye doctors ever again! Dr. Bier was super friendly, and very, very thorough. You should expect to be here a while, and not rushed through like the drive-through Walmart places. He makes you feel super comfortable about asking questions, and explains them so you feel as if you know exactly what he’s talking about. The staff was also super friendly, and chatted with me while I was waiting. If you’re in the market for a new eye doctor, or haven’t been in years, definitely try to get in to see Dr. Bier. They will also price match your contacts — so if you see them cheaper on 1−800-Contacts or another website, they will usually honor that price, and you can pick up your contacts there. Stop ignoring your eyes and come here!
