there is another one on girard in north philly at 29th street. its in the hood but this area is slowly becoming more and more gentrified.

Baristas are amateurs, and kinda rude… Never had good luck in this place. Often lots of kids there, and crumbs all over.

My hubby and I will miss this Mugshots location… even though we limited our trips to a once a month treat because of the high prices. We knew that we’d spend around $ 30 for the two of us on 2 sandwiches and 2 smoothies every time. It was really too much lunch money. Mugshots: You should re-open in Andorra shopping center! Stay in the area.

I was driving through Philly with a coffee craving, and what do you know, a coffee shop with an open parking spot right across the street! Does it get more convenient than that? I think not. So we head in to find a place that is lively and friendly. There are people eating together, sitting around drinking their coffee or reading the morning paper. I ordered the Third Eye Chai with Banana Walnut Bread. With the first sip, I already felt awake and alive, both were delicious! Whether you’re a Philly native or a visitor like me, you’ll enjoy this place. It’s your classic coffee shop with it’s own sort of charm.

Wonderful bacon. Nothing else here is nearly as wonderful as the bacon. If you go here, get something with bacon on it. Bacon.

The bagels are really honestly okay — as in supermarket fresh okay. The hummus is really honestly okay — as in too garlicky and not chunky enough or not smooth enough okay. The cappuccino is really honestly okay — as in sat-under-the-hot-lamp-too-long okay. The Champ smoothie is really honestly okay — as in Jif + soymilk + Hersey’s syrup in your in-home blender mixed okay. BUTTHEBACONISREALLYFREAKINGDELICIOUS. It’s crisp, fat, dark, thick, and bacon-y. Go here and just get a plate of bacon and you will be satisfied.

This place has great quality coffee and the baristas were extremely nice. Reason for only 4 stars? The price. $ 2.43 for a small iced coffee seemed a bit steep. But it was quite tasty!

I prefer this location over the one on Fairmount. A lot of pretentious people go to that one. The one in Manayunk was cool. We ordered empanadas, which DIDNOT fill me up one bit, but they were pretty good! Ended up going to lunch at the mall immediately after, which you don’t expect to have to do right after breakfast. LOL Again, we thought the experience was ok, and it’s pretty close to us, so we’ll be back.

Mugshots is definitely the best place to grab coffee or lunch in Manayunk. Great fair trade coffee and excellent hand-pulled espresso. No automatic machines in sight. The iced coffee is great too. It’s cold brewed and is so smooth in comparison to anything else. This is my gold standard when it comes to iced coffee. The food is great too. Almost all of it is organic and or sourced locally. the Scapegoat is a favorite. It’s not the cheapest fare, but if you wanted that there’s always premade, plastic wrapped, stale sandwiches at Starbucks… Seriously, fresh local food is worth the price The staff is always friendly and recognizes you when you come it. It’s hard to find a more relaxed and welcoming place.

Cool place with nice little back room. Had a Honky Tonk piano — made me want to disturb all of those studyiers with a little, «I like to hear some funky dixie land…» Nice cup of coffee. E-X-T-R-E-M-E-L-Y SLOW to make it though.

When I travel I always try to find the«off the beaten path» kind of place. This is just one street off Main Street in Manayunk. When you arrive it looks as if the space is only a «shotgun» style coffee bar. However, when you get inside there is an entire back room filled with couches and table seating. They tout«farm fresh» and it tastes that way. Thick slices of bacon on fresh bagels and locally made cheese is a way to win my heart… and that is what they have. The iced coffee is brewed cold and in my opinion that is they way to brew. The service is amazing too. A girl at the counter pridefully told me that she made the fresh chocolate chip zucchini bread… I love finding people so proud. Great spot… oh and free WiFi so I can write this review.

I have been going to Mugshots in Manayunk regularly for nearly a year now. I know most of the staff well and I definitely feel welcome whenever I visit. Pros: Great coffee, sandwiches, bagels, and snacks. Small coffee shop atmosphere is true to what anyone would expect for authentic establishment. Cons: If there is a line, the service and turnover is definitely on the slower side of what people are commonly used to. It is a smaller operation than even the one in Fairmount so people have to be prepared to wait if there is a line. Don’t worry… it is usually worth it. Just don’t expect to catch the train if you are in a rush! Also, if you order drinks other than coffee, I have more than one occasion received it just warm and not hot like it should be. All in all, it is definitely an asset to Manayunk’s community and I’d definitely recommend it.

Looking for a nice spot for a meet and greet? Want to show that you know there is more to coffee than the cookie cutter chain stores? Don’t like coffee at all but are craving a smoothie? If you answered yes to any of the above, Mugshots might be your place. Don’t let the small, sometimes crowded front scare you away, there is plenty of seating and free wi-fi in the back room. While I have read other reviews that seem to indicate Mugshots is a bit pricey, I would like to respectfully disagree. Their quality and portions are reflected in the price. If you are just looking for a cup of Joe, I’d probably just recommend Saxbys or Starbucks. If you are looking for a bit more, check out Mugshots.

Loved it! You would never know from the outside, but total hole in the wall coffeeshop. It’s quiet and great for meeting people or getting some work done on your computer. They have various sandwiches and coffee and hot chocolate. The coffee is free trade and the place overall is very green — recycled materials are used, even seventh generation toilet paper! The lighting offers a cozy space and there is a fake fireplace downstairs. The staff are really friendly. I had a wrap and some hot chocolate. The food was ok. The hot chocolate was pretty yummy. I think the prices are a little high, but maybe that is because of the free trade agreements to give the farmers more money? Free wi-fi

Have I mentioned I take menus as a challenge sometimes? Well, I do. Waiting in line at the crowded of the coffee shop in Manayunk, I was perusing the chalk board style menu on the wall at Mugshots. I came across this little number: the Jailhouse Rock. Natural peanut butter on wheat with bananas and honey. Yum, me thought! And then… in smaller print… read the challenge: TRYITWITHBACON. I thought… you know what? I WILL try it with bacon. ITWASGOOD. So otherwise, the front part where the ordering happens is crowded but the back seating is spacious enough and they offer WiFi. The menu has great variety– guac and stuff on eggs, bagels and anything else that you might expect(or not expect) in a coffee house. And the Mug Shot schtick? Cute. I got the Vince Vaughn. Good times.

Good coffee that changes often. Decent bagels(with a ton of cream cheese, I ask for light and they put less) and always plenty of room to sit downstairs. Awesome baristas and baristos. Always smiling or talking about something interesting while you wait. Con: small ordering/waiting area. Can get crowded at early morning rush hour.

Yep still expensive. yep coffee isn’t as good as La Columbe. But here’s my new discovery. The food here is fantastic!!! Its the perfect amount of food for lunch, not too heavy, all about local produce, and most importantly absolutely delic! My faves include the tuna sandwich and the BLT(although its super heavy on the bacon– my dogs couldn’t stop drooling while I scarfed it down– cruel)?? The vegan peanut butter cookies are like crack! Who knew dairy free could be so addictive. I can’t recommend this place enough. Why the 4? way too pricey!

Love this place. I sat in my living room the other day after ordering a breakfast sandwich from this place and thought, «Holy sh*t, at this point in my life, this is the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had.» Then my wallet called and said, «Holy sh*t, that breakfast sandwich just cost us $ 9.00!» Although it’s a bit pricey for light fare, it is really good and the coffee is even better. The people working there are really nice and knowledgeable of the coffee’s they serve and they always have good suggestions. This is definitely one of my early AM «treat» places.
