Stupid Fast Service, Good Food, almost perfect! Ok, so I ordered some Chinese food yesterday for delivery! The Good: The food was piping hot and delicious! I mean, its Chinese food so it is either going to be really awful on one extreme or good on the other. I was not expecting 5 star food one would get from a French restaurant; I frankly do not understand some of these other negative reviews for this place. The food was hot and tasty; I ordered General Tso’s Chicken and chicken fried rice. It was exactly like I expected it to be. Furthermore they were fast on delivery! It took them 19 minutes to get to my door. I am right around the corner, but every other place I have ordered from takes 2 – 3 times longer. The Bad: The lady taking my order was really slow. Why do you need my phone number? You don’t have caller ID on your phone? That’s basic tech from the 90s! For that matter, why should I have to call in and place an order? We can’t have web based orders? With bad cell phone connections and all the different accents around here, I can only see it as contributing to their business. I also asked that the delivery guy call me and meet me in the lobby of my building but he knocked on the door anyhow. Oh, well it was still stupid fast The ugly: Ehh, I have nothing to say here. tl;dr Yes, I will order from them in the future! Just don’t ask them to do anything complicated!

I mean, seriously. Is there a restaurant in this area that can make good takeout Chinese? This is yet ANOTHER place in Manassas that I have tried(and failed) to look for good takeout Chinese. It is a sad state of affairs, but I cannot seem to find anyone who does it right! Maybe being from NJ I have certain expectations for it, but please! I just need one! In my latest installment, I tried ordering here, and the delivery charge is already high in itself($ 15, pssh). Got the wonton soup, roast pork lo mein, and steam dumplings. It took 45 minutes for everything to get here. That’s quite a long time. When the food arrived, the wonton soup tupperware leaked, causing some of the broth to go into the entrée. The steamed dumplings had a terrible repugnant smell, so I threw those away. Also, no dipping sauce. Where’s the soy or peanut sauce? Anyhow, the wonton soup was small, and the wontons had zero flavor. Got the lo mein, and it tasted funky, the noodles way overcooked. Took approximately 5 bites and threw it away. Even the wonton strips and the fortune cookie were bland! Seriously, what is wrong? This is not just downright disappointing, but just, I don’t know. Maybe I should just stick to what I know best, and maybe its for the best to stay away. This was very disappointing, and yet another bust. I paid way too much for food that wasn’t presented well and tasted either too dry, too bland, or something else. They gave me a takeout menu with my order, but I definitely will not be ordering here again

I moved to Manassas last year(I’m in Herndon now) and saw all these great reviews on Unilocal about this place. Since i’m vegan i thought ‘why not!’ I drove to the place. Initially it was hard to find, but everything on centerville rd is cramped. I get there and i get this weird cheap vibe. I’m still hopeful and ask for some sautéed dish and my boyfriend asked for a orange chicken something(it was a while ago). We get them in cheap containers and realize this place might be meant for take-out. We didnt care too much and started to dig in. THEFOOD was horrible. And when i went to the women to have my boyfriends meal returned because it was OVERLY sweet, they almost didnt care and seemed annoyed. I didnt get a refund and we were stuck with food we ended up throwing out. I would never recommend this place.

When my fav mom/pop Chinese restaurant closed and the owners retired I was devastated. I tried Sichuan Garden because a family member ordered it and offered me some. I have been eating from this restaurant ever since and I am super picky about Chinese food. My usual favorite is beef and broccoli. I like for the beef to be lean. At most Chinese food restaurants the beef is always the test. It is very lean and delicious. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

If only there’s a way to give zero ratings! I placed an order to go over the phone, I showed up an hour after, and it was not ready. Come to find out my order was given to another customer. When I asked for an explanation, the elderly lady at the front desk looked like she was about to pass out! They finally cleared my order 30minutes later. When I brought my food home I opened the bag to find everything was completely destroyed, the containers did not open but were covered in the food(like something spilled on top), there was more plastic knives than forks and only 1 pack of sauce when I ordered 3 entrees. My beef was undercooked & the rice was over cooked. Luckily beef is not as hazardous to eat partially raw compared to chicken. Parking is not convenient at all especially if you planning to go deeper into Manassas. Will I return? No!

My wife and I have been ordering delivery from this place for the last 3 years. I don’t know why I’ve waited so long to write a review for this place. The woman who takes your order over the phone has always been friendly and accurately repeats your order back to you. The food always arrives fast and our order has always been correct. I can’t remember a time where they messed up our order and we’ve ordered from this place probably a hundred times now. We’ve tried other Chinese delivery places in the area and this place is by far the most consistent in terms of food quality and service. I always order the Curry Beef with Potatoes, which is by far my favorite dish here. The beef is tender and seasoned perfectly. If you like curry, you definitely need to try this. My wife tends to order the Sa Cha Beef or String Beans Sichuan Style, which she both enjoys. Their Pan Fried Dumplings are really good as well. Their other dishes are just okay, nothing that special. If I had to say anything negative, I’d definitely stay away from their Chow Mein. It’s very bland and they tend to put TOO many vegetables in it. It’s certainly not the greatest Chinese food we’ve ever had but it’s certainly the best Chinese food in Manassas, hands down. The driver who delivers the food is always pleasant and courteous. The only reason I’m not giving this place 5 stars is because my wife and I have had better Chinese when we lived on the west coast so I can’t quite call it perfect. I would definitely say that their services deserve 5 stars but their food rates closer to 4 – 4 ½ stars. If you live in the area and have a craving for some Chinese food but don’t want to go out to get it, I HIGHLY recommend this place. You won’t be disappointed.

My wife and I recently moved to the Manassas area, and one of our goals was to find a go-to Chinese delivery place. The first one we tried was across the street from us, but it was pretty disappointing. I pass by Szechuan Garden on my way to and from work, and I decided to give them a try, even if they are a couple miles farther away. I’m glad I did! This place is now our new go-to. The food is solid and the platters come in nice microwaveable/dishwasher-safe containers with compartments for the entrée and rice. The prices are pretty fair considering what you get. We will definitely be calling this place many times in our future.

read the reviews and decided to try it. The food was dry and tasteless. Dont be fooled by the choice for general tso chicken, white meat verses thigh meat so she called it. It was 3 dollars more and there was less. The lady behind the counter had poor customer service skills.

In my opinion, best Chinese food delivery in Manassas. Not super greasy. Fast delivery. Never had a mistake in the order. Friendly staff and the food is really good.

This is the best chinese place I’ve been able to find in the immediate area. I have been back many times usually ordering take-out or calling in for delivery. Great quality food for the price. Nothing extraordinary in flavor, but it always seems fresh. Low prices, good portions. They don’t have egg rolls, but they have spring rolls. Their soups are edible, but not great, hence why I dropped it a star, but the place is good, cheap and quick if you stick to standard dishes. Definitely try the crispy shredded beef. My favorite so far!

After months of trying other places, I ordered from here again and it was as if I never left! So fresh and flavorful. Based on some of the reviews I’ve seen, I recommend take out or delivery because my order and service ALWAYS rocks.

I was really pleased with the speediness, friendliness and taste of my food at Sichuan Garden. I won’t say it was the absolute best Chinese takeout I’ve ever had, but it was really good. And I will definitely eat there again. The woman who waited on me was one of the sweetest people I’ve ever encountered at a Chinese restaurant. ALLSMILES, which is so refreshing. Thanks for the good reviews to those who posted them! I was very pleased. BTW, I only give it 4 stars because there is some room for improvement. :)

Wife and I stopped by and made the mistake of eating in. They have a few tables but the AC was off or broken– it was a sauna. Food wasn’t particularly great, especially for having been just freshly prepared. My favorites are still Woodbine Chinese Cuisine(Manassas) & Charlie Chiang’s(Centreville)

so far the best tasting delivery in Manassas, although it took 2 hours to deliver after the restaurant told us it would be 45 min to an hour. When I called they sounded disgusted I would question them and it had been over an hour. «your order is on the way, 20 more minutes we are busy.»

What’s the Buzz? Hard to believe this place is rated as high as it is. I called on a Friday around 6p, yes… probably the single busiest day and time of the week… but a good test ehh… yes, there may be a higher purpose here. If there was a video camera going, it would have been youtube worthy. If you’ve ever heard the ‘Who’s on First’ comedy skit… it will give you an idea of our exchange. Do you have Combo plates? No, no have combo plates, have Triple Delights. What’s that I say. Shrimps, Beef & Chicken, she says. Well, alright, thats enough of a combination for me, put me down for one. Does it come with fried rice? No, she replies, Shrimps, Beef & Chicken. OK, well then, let me order some fried rice. OK, so you want a number 12, right? Yes, Ma’am if you say so. When I pick up my order, I’ve got a $ 17 check. I discover that rice does indeed come with Triple Delights. So with the additional fried rice that I needlessly ordered, I have enough to feed my entire neighborhood… see pics for portion sizes… lol. The shrimp was flavorful, if I try this place again, it would be for a shrimp dish. The rest, just OK, but for a Triple Delight, I expected more… what I got was… not! Be afraid to call in a delivery order… especially if you’re really hungary. If you want exceptionally good Chinese take out, go to Chantilly and try China Café.

Still looking for good Chinese in Manassas. This is the 4th Place I’ve tried now. The people who give all these places 4 and 5 stars in Manassas must either be the owners or people who have never had good Chinese food. I always order the same thing at each restaurant. Sesame Chicken, Fried Rice, Egg Rolls. The Sesame chicken was white meat chicken tenders stirred up with sweet and sour sauce and some sesame seeds sprinkled on top. There were also two chunks of gray limp broccoli thrown in. The fried rice wasn’t fried at all it was white rice mixed up with soy sauce to make it look brown like it had been fried. The egg rolls were pretty standard but greasy. So the quest goest on… Good chinese food isn’t breaded chicken with sauce dumped on it. The chicken should be fried in a wok, with some scallions thrown in and some sesame seeds, maybe even some chili peppers. Then when all this is almost done some home made sauce is dumped in, not some junk from a bottle. If you’re gonna deep fry some chicken nuggets and throw some sauce on top I can make that at home.

Another fairly new Chinese restaurant in the area — it’s been in this location about 10 months or so… Ordered my regular triple to go: Crispy fried spring rolls, Hot and Sour soup, and Kung Pao Chicken extra spicy. Took about 10 minutes for the food to come up. The Spring rolls were tasty, crispy, and excellent. The Hot and Sour soup was savory and very yummy. The Kung Pao was just average though. Prepared with some chopped vegetables — peas, bell pepper, and carrots. If I were writing the review based on the Kung Pao alone — it would have been down around a 3 star review. The rolls and soup rescued the day here. One other thing I will criticize here — no authentic spicy Chinese mustard. Only those small packets of processed salty Chinese mustard paste(or whatever you want to call it). I advised the lady at the counter that they NEED to offer the real thing. Not sure it made an impression with her. She was more interested in me coming back every week — which is what she said to me as I headed out the door…
