My sister just found a dead COCKROACH in her soup. That’s all folks. Apparently that comment is not enough for a review but only as a tip. Well i have been here a couple of times and have found it decent so was hopeful. However i am sick of them telling me that there is no pork only chicken. Apparently people who come here do not eat pork. And they love their egg rolls super greasy. And they do not mind cockroaches in their soup…

Service is the worst! I guess you can’t expect good service from places like this. I ordered phở, and two Thai teas. When I tasted the Thai teas, it tasted stall and nasty! I tried to exchange it for something else, and the owner gave me a hard time. Most places will give you something that compliments the dissatisfaction. Trust me, I won’t be eating here anymore.

Great phở. Tasty broth. Thai tea was a little too strong for me, had to ask for extra cream. I got the Vietnamese beef soup and it was really good. Service was excellent too.

We just found this restaurant and we are so happy we tried it. The phở with vegetable spring rolls was incredible. The staff was friendly and the service was quick.

While this might not be my favorite phở restaurant ever, I was perfectly happy with my meal here and would definitely go again.

Better than some of the Phở places I tried in Vietnam! Lots of good chicken in the soup!

Stopped in to grab dinner to go, it was very scary considering there was no one inside the place eating. But in I went, décor was nothing fancy, and I was greeted right away. Got the number 5 phở. It was OK compared to other phở that I have had. They put some of the meat inside the broth in the to go container, which I wasn’t a big fan of. Overall, just OK. Wouldn’t think of this place first if I wanted phở.

I’ve just recently started going here. I only go here because it’s close to my house compared to phở 234. I must say they have really good iced coffee Vietnamese style. Also tastes authentic but smaller portions compared to phở 234. Side note, if you’ve ever been to a phở shop in China town New York. This place has the right vibe without the bugs in your food or hair lol. But yeah good little mom and pop joint.

Meh – didn’t care for this place at all. Pretty dirty place, spoons are in a dispenser on the table, chopsticks weren’t sealed and in the dispenser as well. I asked for a chicken phở large bowl with extra limes. Also asked for Fish sauce on the side(usually phở spots have them on the table). When the soup came the fish sauce was in it, I didn’t get extra limes and the bean sprouts were old, brown and yellow. Definitely not a fan but, meh its a little family owned spot in manassas, why would I expect any less?

I just want to love this place but the phở isn’t the best nor average in my opinion. It’s very bland with no taste whatsoever. The service is amazing though! And the crispy egg rolls(sure that’s not the proper name) were really good as well. They serve them with a fish sauce and normally I’m not a fan because of the smell. I gave it a try because the waiter said its not as strong. It was definitely a little bland, just as the phở. Once again the service is amazing and something that would bring me back in for another try.

First impression, just alright for Phở. The restaurant, which on the outside looks pretty standard for what they serve, was empty, I went in there a few minutes after 5. Place is extremely clean, excellent. Then, the fun began. The server was initially friendly, but made me take a seat somewhere. Um, when there’s nobody in the restaurant but myself, shouldn’t I allow myself to sit wherever? Okay I’ll follow the rules. Server comes over and takes my order. Basically wanted the meat combination Phở with a Thai iced tea with a water. Server took the order and came back with my drinks in 2 minutes. Server got the wrong iced tea. I didn’t ask for a replacement, not worth the aggravation. The straw in the water was bent too. Again, not worth the aggravation. Six minutes from when I ordered, the Phở arrived in a similar bowl that I’ve seen before. That layered bowl with everything situated in it. It definitely was hot, no doubt about it, and they give you your sprouts and jalapenos on the side if you like. I dove right into the meat. This is where I felt skimped, not on the noodles, there were plenty of them and they were good, but skimped on meat. I think they just took one meatball in the back and quartered it, because I only had 4 slices of meatball. The brisket was way too fatty, and I felt like I didn’t get enough at all. No meat, too much cilantro and noodles(I will never complain for too much noodle), but half the noodles sunk to the bottom to a point I couldn’t even spoon it out. Sorry, loss of 2 stars for lack of meat and poor quality of noodle. In the end I just gave up on it. I felt I had gotten a good deal of the noodle and definitely got all the beef. Total came out to $ 10, which I promptly paid and walked out without really looking back. All said, I’ll stick with Phở 234 as my baseline, but will look for another Phở place(there’s a few around the area I still hear worth trying), but I won’t be back at Phở 24, sorry.

Even though there are some people who don’t like this restaurant, it is a great place for a Vietnamese person like me.

I had the bun with grilled pork and eggroll. Serving was very generous and the the grilled pork was very tender/juicy on the inside while full flavored and crispy on the outside. The fish sauce that paired with the dish was phenomenal and I wish I had asked for more :). Definitely will come here again with my friends!

The traditional Phở broth is rich and flavorful not watery like some I’ve been served from time to time at other Phở shops. The staff is friendly and helpful

This phở restaurant is a little hidden(I drove past the first time and had to circle back) but I was in search of a phở restaurant that was outside the Falls Church/Annandale area. I’ve been here a few times and I love their phở. It always comes out hot and flavorful and I don’t get any weird looks when I turn down bean sprouts. The noodles are well cooked(e.g. not too soft and not too hard) and the meat is plentiful. I’ve also tried their spring rolls and rice dishes with pork chops and they are all very good. Wish they had phở restaurants like this in the Sterling area!

I used to love this place. I was actually a Duke here, that’s how much I loved this place. But since they have changed to the latest owner’s, the quality and service has gone down hill. I called in an order, went to pick it up and the lady behind the counter told me that one of the items I ordered was unavailable. I asked her how come she didn’t just call me since they took down my number but she said she thought it would be better to tell me in person. Seriously, Wtf. Then I asked her if the rest of the order was ready and she said they haven’t started cooking yet because they were waiting for me to get there. WTF?!? So I said forget it and left. Fast forward a month later. I had to get some phở. I reluctantly stopped here because of the fiasco last time but I figured, «he’ll, I am eating in. They can’t possibly fuck it up.» Sure enough, they did. Small bowl when I ordered a large. Ingredients in the phở that I did not order. And when I went to pay, they charged me for a large and had a shitty attitude when I brought it up to their attention. I so tried to give this place a chance after the screw ups, but I can’t stand the terrible service and the lack of quality. I used to come here 3 times a week. Now it is never again…*sigh*… Time to find a new phở place.

**3.5 stars** I was unaware of this new Phở joint — thanks to Duane S. for reviewing it — that clued me in to the existence of this place. Any new Phở place that appears within reasonable distance from where I live MUST be investigated — and so I made my way over this afternoon to sample their Phở Ga. I ordered the regular bowl of Phở Ga with white meat — you can also get it in a large size. The Phở came out fairly quickly — the broth was steaming away, I tasted the broth before adding the Lime, Jalapeños, Basil, and Bean Sprouts — the broth had a nice flavor to it — slightly lighter than my faves, but still good. I proceeded to slurp my way through the bowl, adding of course, intermittent squirts of Sriracha sauce to bites, as well as a couple of squirts into the broth at the end before guzzling the remaining broth. The only thing I will ding them on is that a couple of times I got a brief overwhelming Cilantro blast — which is the first time I’ve experienced that eating Phở(and I eat a lot of Phở!) Phở 24 has been open exactly one week now — according to the lady working there. The interior is clean, simple and spartan. Service was good. There was a large wall mounted flat panel HDTV behind the counter playing some sort of Asian concert performance. I’ll definitely come back.
