Meadows Farms Nurseries & Landscaping

Like this place. It’s pretty close and our go-​to spot for gardening stuff, plants, pumpkins and Christmas trees. The staff is friendly and helpful. I wish they had a little more variety and more or better advertised sales but then I just got on the email list so maybe I’ll get more soon. :)

While the kids at checkout aren’t super friendly or helpful, the rest of the staff — the ones that work outside are fantastic and truly make up for the rest!

Great selection. We had a free landscaping consult last summer. She had some great ideas with no obligation to buy or use her services. She had some great tips and we ended up buying all of the plants at Meadows Farm and did the work ourselves.

Great selection of plants. Great prices. It is customer friendly and everyone is ready to help.

Ok handled all issues expeditiously.

My wife and I decide to have the Meadow Farms do our landscaping this year. Normally, we do it ourselves, but both of us having surgeries we could not do it. We call and made a appointment with someone to come out. After weeks gone by, we finally meet Lisa, very pleasant person, great ideas. Now, the problems start, given a date, both of us schedule to be off. Made a call to confirm that they were going to be there the next day, found out the scheduling had been pushed back two weeks. Made calls to Lisa, she said she was working on the date, but, finally could not do anything. Finally the day came, it was a very cold and rainy day, Lisa was there, but the installers did not show up till two hours later. Then mass confusion started, was not sure about the locations, planting and then taking the plants back up. Lisa, was always coming and going, the installers were cold and wet, acted as if they did not want to be there. After many hours gone by, Lisa not around, the installers left. Walking around to see what they did, come to find that the plants were not deep enough in the dirt, some were not even planted. Things were not in the order or location that they were suppose to be. And the mess they left in the yard and on the street took me three hours to clean.
Call with total disbelief of what was done and what we paid for was unbelievable. Took pictures, called Lisa, tried to get someone to look at the planting was totally crazy. Finally,
after many phone calls and many no shows, and speaking to a manager, who told me to
«Calm Down» was really unprofessional. A gentlemen final came out, totally agreed on the poor workmanship and promise things would be corrected within the week. Well, it took two weeks to get everything nearly corrected. The gentlemen was very polite, but, seemed not to get support from higher management. I am sorry to say that Meadows Farms has lost my busy, and praise. I am the HOA president of the community, and I was looking forward to talking about getting pricing for our summer and fall planting. That will not happen, not with the service that I received. Their «LOST»

First visit here… Extremely beautiful nursery with impressive variety. The reason I chose 5 stars though was due to the fantastic customer service. It was 90+ degrees and pretty miserable outside. ALL staff still were extremely friendly and helpful. Easily answered all our questions, helped make recommendations. Even after we paid we were offered help to our vehicle. Highly recommend this nursery!

I also took advantage of the $ 49 consultation but it was a bad experience and not worth even that. The representative acted like we were taking up her time and seemed impatient and dismissive. Her recommendations were so-​so and something we could have figured out ourselves. I later went back to buy plants and asked her if the fee could be applied to the purchase/​install as I initially understood and she said ‘no you’re not getting your money back’. Very disappointing. I still went to the closest Meadows Farms and the selection was very poor. And, I was there a couple of times and no one helped me. You could do better than this place.

I don’t normally write reviews but I had to in this case. I wouldn’t even give them a 1 star but I had to in order to write this review. I won’t go into a lot of details but I’ll never, ever go here again. We bought a tree from them and did EVERYTHING that they said to do and it died (within a few weeks)…they wouldn’t replace it. I couldn’t believe this was true (it was a teenager on the phone who told me this so I wanted to double check) so I asked for the phone number of the owner/​manager/​someone higher up. I called and talk to some big shot and he was EXTREMELY RUDE to me… actually sarcastic and talking down to me at times. I honestly have never been treated this badly from ANYONE. Pretty bad if your own CEO doesn’t know anything about customer service and is rude to you. I wouldn’t even be writing this review if it wasn’t for his rudeness… if it was just their policy, I wouldn’t have been happy but policy is policy. It was the way I was treated.

But I have to say the flowers were pretty and easy to grow. And the president, Mr. Jay Meadows, does care for his customers.

I took advantage of an offer for $ 49 to have a landscaper come out and help design/​update my back yard of townhome. It was an OK consult, not a lot of ‘design’ but a few suggestions of what to buy/​plant. Also requested pricing on a pathway.
I called this week and decided to order a few of the options given to me and was told there had to be a $ 1,000 minimum. Mine would have been about $ 650. I am not pleased. It was a waste of my time, money and effort with them. very disappointed!

This is by far one of the cleanest and most organized meadows nursery I have seen! Brad Bobenrieth (current manager) and his staff have done such an amazing job with this location and have greatly turned it around! I come here quite religiously and it’s always in impeccable shape! The plant selections are fantastic. The staff greets (unlike most locations), are super attentive, and will help you with your choices, and load if you need. I cannot rave enough about this place! Everyone should definitely come and give it a try.

If you’re trying to get here off of 234, be careful — you won’t see this place from the road!
It’s a nice little nursery/​landscaping store, with a very nice selection of herbs, some that I haven’t seen at other nurseries in the area.
Customer service is pretty decent. The way the place works is you load up a cart with the plants you’re looking for, then someone writes you a ticket which you take to the cashier. It’s pretty straightforward and eliminates those big lines which can form at most garden centers.
