Hi-Flo Custom Exhaust

I was very unhappy with my experience here. Scott has a lot of great-​looking project cars in his garage so I thought I would get a nice build on my custom exhaust. I was inspired by his confidence and knowledge and thought I was in good hands. It turns out he slapped together the exhaust, kept the rusty old factory flanges, and didn’t properly weld the system together. He also didn’t use all of the factory mounting points so the exhaust shook a lot. Finally, a cheap chrome tip completed the ensemble (I didn’t want a chrome tip).
I had my car inspected a couple months later and they failed it for pinhole leaks. Scott was pretty mad when I came back and told him it didn’t pass. He hastily made the repairs and sent me on my way. I was able to pass inspection. A few months later more holes developed. After a year the rusty old flanges finally gave out and the exhaust started clanging around. I decided I wasn’t going to bother taking it back so I bought a cat-​back system that lasted for many years! Lesson learned and $ 400 down the drain.
I think if you have a cool car he works hard on it, but for a regular car like mine he wasn’t too interested and the poor quality of product was pretty evident. I did like the project cars around the shop. I would have more respect if he said he wasn’t interested in the job, rather than slapping something together.

Terrible customer service! Called to ask a question about my O2 sensor and the man who answered the phone was extremely rude. Without knowing why I needed them to look at my car he answered with «Take it to the dealer». I don’t need to waste my time on rude behavior so I hung up. I get a text message back from the number telling me F@!k you. Needless to say I am going somewhere else where they know how to treat a customer!

Great place, great people, great price. Did a muffler delete on my BMW; had it done in less than an hour. Got to hang out in the shop and watch it all happen! Gave me S solid, no hassle price! You won’t regret going here!!!

These guys are awesome. I had my resonator taken off my charger srt8 in a matter of minutes of pulling in. They’re extremely friendly and professional and don’t try to sell you on anything if you don’t want it right then and there. I will be seeing them this weekend to bring my girlfriends car in for work.

Great Job, Scott installed a custom exhaust on my wife’s C350 AMG Sport as a Xmas present. I was nervous when they started cutting the stock exhaust off, but when i saw the new welds I was impressed. Scott drives a AMG Merc, so I knew I was in good hands. Once complete the exhaust was great, quads tips, and what a sound.
Don’t be taken back by the looks of the shop, these guys are pros. Very good prices, and top quality work.

The fellas installed an after market catback exhaust after my dealer said it was the wrong size and wouldn’t fit. Great job and didn’t BS me.

Do not beleive these good ratings. I took my gen coupe here to get a custom exhaust job done. They talked down to me the whole time, had an I don’t care personality, very rude, and charged me $ 800 for a few piping and over priced magnafloww parts. When I took it to another welder he had to go over and fix all the lazy, messy welding Scott did. He redid the whole thing for half the price and cleaned up the rushed job… if you have a job to be done with exhaust take it to «Roberts custom exhaust» its a little far but completely worth it!

Owner is direct, quick and does great work for very reasonable prices.
I took my truck here today to get my broken muffler swapped out and when I came back he said he noticed a hole in another part of the pipe and replaced that part as well for me… for no extra charge! That is a class act right there and how you get rave reviews and a loyal customer in me. I won’t go anywhere else for exhaust work from now on.

Where do I start? Hi-​Flo is professional, they get the job done when they say it will be done. They’re old school craftsmen with new school flavor. I’ve found a shop for life.

Scott, the owner of Hi-​Flo, is a true tradesman. Simply put, the work the his shop puts out is high quality. I own a 1995 Jeep Wrangler and had everything from the catalytic converter back replaced. From start to finish I would say it took the shop less than 90 minutes. He seems highly focused on customer service, punctuality, and obviously the finished product. The price was very reasonable as well. I couldn’t recommend this shop enough. Word of advice, make an appointment!

I was referred here by a friend of mine to get the custom exhaust on my Audi patched up due to a leak. I give them 5 stars because they are extremely flexible with their scheduling and very efficient with their work. Normally when I am getting maintenance or something fixed on my car, I wait about 1 – 2 hours if not more. I was in and out of here within 30 minutes. They have great prices and everyone is very friendly. I highly recommend this place if you need anything done with your exhaust! My car is running perfectly and sounds better then it did before. As work on my vehicle goes, I like to wait a few weeks for writing a review to make sure that everything is solid and keeps working as expected. I am happy to say that for the last two weeks, my custom Magna Flo exhaust is exceeding expectations. The welds look great, there are no leaks, no rattle and the sound is superb. I believe in the motto «you get what you pay for» and the price was not cheap, but I am fine with that when it comes to getting quality work and parts done. For a chrome dual catback system with a Magna-​Flow exhaust ran 650. Something I’m willing to put down for the quality work I’ve received.
Scott was professional, estimate was quick and fair.

Don’t be fooled by those positive review. The truth is; the staffs are very rude, and not welcome at all. I live in DC and drove 80 miles to get there to cut my exhaust, they told me they don’t have time. They are very lazy, and charge a lot. They wanna almost 200 $ for cutting one small part, but the gas station only charge 80 $. Don’t go there if are driving a nice car, they know nothing about cars except old antique cars.

I took my S6 in there to have them put on an exhaust I got off the internet. He was worried about the quality of the part so he made a recommendation and I actually ended up spending less money INCLUDING labor. I was blown away by the service, then I was blown away by the amazing sound they unleashed from my V10. Scott is an awesome guy and runs a very friendly, no BS business. Even though it is a bit of a drive from where I live, I am recommending Hi-​Flo to everyone I know.

Must go for exhaust repair! Today, they saved me over $ 2,400! I was literally blown away by how fast and efficient the repair was!

Called these guys around noon, dropped by after work around 4:20 to discussed the work I wanted done. Job was to rip out the rusted old pipes and install a new pipes. I was driving home by 4:45 with my new pipes installed. No BS, straight talking professionals that know their stuff.
I also have to add the rusted pipes that were replaced, were installed by a national franchise about 4 years earlier. The sloppy work the national franchise did includes but is not limited to sloppy wielding which caused premature wear on the pipes and they also left old clamps and unused bars under the truck.
The guys at Hi Flo not only did a spectacular custom job but also cleaned up the old crap the most would leave behind. Their welds were very clean but they still followed up with a grinder to clean\polish the welds.
Oh yea, the job was done for about ¼th what the national franchise charged me. If you don’t see these guys for your exhaust repairs you deserve to be overcharged and get the crap work performed at the national franchise shops.

Highly recommended shop for exhaust work. I took my car in for exhaust work and even when the job needed custom fabrication, Scott was right there to creatively fix the issue. I can’t speak enough of how great it came out, and the work was reasonably priced as well. Took my M3 here for some exhaust work and couldn’t be happier. Scott, the owner doesn’t really make a good first impression and seems like a mean person but he’s a really good guy and he’ll take care of your car and takes great pride in his work. His work is top notch and the pricing was very reasonable as well, he was asking for about half of what other shops in the area were asking.

Our 14 year old volvo was headed to the scrap heap when our mechanic told us it would be $ 1,500 to replace the catalytic converter with a stock part. I found these guys on the web and saw the good reviews from Unilocal… We drove out to Manassas and in 30 minutes and a fraction of the cost, Scott did some welding magic and we are good to go again.
Given the smarmy new car salesmen we’ve been dealing with over the last couple days, we are very happy to have brought the Volvo back to life.

Hi Flo does much more then exhaust. I just had my car in for its timing belt.
These guys took my car in and had it done on time for a reasonable price.
I have had 2 of my other cars in for exhaust work also which was done on time for a reasonable price.
They saved me a lot of hurt on one of these cars when they had found a very badly worn part that could have broken at any time which for sure would have caused an accident.
Bottom line this is the first place I would recommend to anyone to have work done.
I do a lot of work on my cars myself, so I know what is involved in most repairs. I have been to a lot of other shops and there are only two I feel comfortable with, this one, and the other which is about a 2 hour drive from Manassas.
