My 93 year old grandfather, a loyal patient of Dr. Egge for over 10 years, was a few minutes late to his appointment, and the office staff refused for him to be seen. The nasty woman at the front wouldn’t even let us talk to Dr. Egge about it.
I understand that it’s important to stay on time at the doctor’s office — I’m a doctor myself. But I would never turn away a late 93 year old patient — most of them have transportation issues and need help getting to their appointments. All doctors know that. Maybe if they were late for the last appointment of the day, and the office was ready to close, we might have them reschedule. But not during the business day when they can be worked back in.
Needless to say, we found a new, patient-​centered ophthalmologist.

This was the worst experience I have ever had in a Doctor’s office! The staff on the phone where nice but from the time I walked in the office the receptionist was rude. The «nurse» never introduced herself. She did spend quite a bit of time with me and did most of the exam on my eyes. The Dr Egge was only in the room with me for 7 minutes. Told the nurse to give me some drops but nobody told me what to do with them. I was then told I would have to come back to get my eyes tested!
